drink_v to_o understand_v the_o profundity_n of_o this_o scripture_n we_o must_v presuppose_v that_o there_o be_v two_o manner_n of_o cup_n which_o be_v to_o wit_n the_o cup_n that_o be_v say_v simple_o only_a of_o god_n and_o the_o cup_n that_o be_v say_v with_o a_o addition_n that_o be_v of_o the_o ire_n of_o god_n there_o be_v so_o great_a difference_n betwixt_o these_o two_o cup_n that_o in_o the_o one_o we_o drink_v heaven_n in_o the_o other_o we_o swallow_v hell_n the_o holy_a cup_n of_o god_n be_v no_o other_o thing_n but_o temptation_n hunger_n cold_a thirst_n persecution_n exile_n poverty_n and_o martyrdom_n of_o which_o thing_n god_n give_v to_o drink_v and_o to_o taste_v to_o such_o as_o he_o have_v choose_v to_o serve_v he_o and_o have_v predestinate_a to_o be_v save_v unto_o who_o god_n give_v this_o cup_n to_o drink_v it_o be_v a_o sign_n that_o he_o be_v register_v amongst_o they_o that_o shall_v be_v save_v in_o such_o sort_n that_o we_o can_v not_o escape_v hell_n but_o at_o the_o cost_n of_o very_a great_a travail_n profound_o it_o be_v to_o be_v consider_v what_o christ_n say_v that_o the_o cup_n shall_v not_o only_o be_v give_v to_o his_o own_o person_n but_o that_o it_o shall_v also_o pass_v unto_o his_o church_n in_o such_o wise_a that_o he_o drink_v thereof_o but_o he_o make_v not_o a_o end_n for_o if_o christ_n have_v drink_v all_o the_o cup_n only_a christ_n shall_v have_v enter_v the_o glory_n and_o for_o this_o cause_n he_o pray_v unto_o his_o father_n that_o the_o cup_n shall_v pass_v unto_o those_o of_o his_o church_n for_o that_o we_o shall_v all_o enter_v with_o he_o into_o the_o glory_n oh_o high_a mystery_n never_o hear_v of_o that_o christ_n be_v in_o the_o garden_n in_o the_o dark_a alone_o flat_a upon_o his_o knee_n sweat_v pray_v and_o weep_v he_o do_v not_o crave_v of_o his_o father_n that_o the_o elect_v of_o his_o church_n shall_v be_v cherish_v or_o worldly_a pamper_a but_o of_o that_o cup_n he_o will_v give_v they_o a_o draught_n to_o drink_v of_o that_o cup_n of_o bitterness_n and_o travel_n only_a christ_n do_v drink_v his_o fill_n because_o he_o only_o be_v sufficient_a to_o redeem_v we_o all_o we_o that_o come_v after_o christ_n if_o we_o can_v drink_v our_o fill_n i_o will_v to_o god_n we_o may_v drink_v sufficient_a for_o our_o salvation_n the_o sword_n of_o saint_n peter_n the_o cross_n of_o saint_n andrew_n the_o knife_n of_o saint_n bartelmew_n the_o girdierne_n of_o s._n laurence_n &_o the_o shear_n of_o saint_n steven_n what_o other_o thing_n be_v they_o but_o certain_a badge_n they_o have_v receive_v of_o christ_n christ_n and_o certain_a gulp_v they_o have_v drink_v of_o his_o cup._n so_o many_o more_o degree_n we_o shall_v receive_v in_o heaven_n of_o glory_n as_o we_o have_v drink_v of_o the_o cup_n of_o christ_n in_o this_o life_n and_o therefore_o we_o ought_v to_o pray_v unto_o god_n every_o day_n with_o tear_n that_o if_o we_o can_v drink_v all_o his_o cup_n at_o the_o least_o that_o he_o will_v suffer_v we_o to_o taste_v thereof_o the_o cup_n of_o christ_n although_o it_o be_v bitter_a in_o drink_v after_o the_o
