they_o now_o they_o be_v uncomely_a now_o they_o wear_v rag_n now_o they_o be_v the_o offscouring_a now_o they_o have_v their_o imperfection_n and_o fail_n towards_o he_o oh_o oh_o what_o will_v his_o name_n i_o be_o be_v to_o they_o then_o when_o they_o shall_v be_v very_o comely_a when_o they_o shall_v shine_v as_o the_o sun_n be_v equal_a with_o angel_n full_a of_o holiness_n and_o perfection_n consider_v this_o and_o stand_v in_o admiration_n if_o god_n afford_v a_o mighty_a presence_n to_o a_o burn_a bush_n to_o a_o suffer_a creature_n oh_o what_o will_v he_o do_v to_o a_o glorify_a saint_n thus_o much_o for_o the_o second_o thing_n now_o the_o three_o thing_n propose_v be_v the_o reason_n and_o ground_n why_o the_o lord_n continue_v his_o name_n i_o be_o the_o same_o to_o his_o people_n first_o that_o they_o may_v not_o be_v destroy_v nor_o consume_v god_n unchangableness_n to_o we_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o our_o not_o change_v from_o our_o condition_n to_o worse_a see_v mal._n 3.6_o i_o be_o the_o lord_n i_o change_v not_o therefore_o you_o son_n of_o jacob_n be_v not_o consume_v as_o if_o the_o lord_n shall_v say_v i_o be_o the_o lord_n i_o be_o that_o i_o be_o this_o be_v my_o name_n for_o ever_o i_o change_v not_o for_o this_o cause_n my_o people_n be_v not_o consume_v ah_o my_o friend_n if_o god_n be_v changeable_a as_o man_n and_o as_o mutable_a as_o man_n where_o shall_v we_o have_v be_v at_o this_o time_n how_o soon_o will_v our_o condition_n be_v far_o worse_o than_o it_o be_v real_o if_o god_n shall_v not_o continue_v his_o name_n to_o his_o people_n i_o be_o his_o power_n his_o faithfulness_n his_o wisdom_n his_o comfort_n their_o state_n will_v be_v very_o miserable_a but_o second_o why_o this_o name_n of_o god_n be_v continue_v for_o ever_o to_o his_o people_n it_o be_v to_o engage_v they_o to_o he_o to_o draw_v up_o the_o heart_n and_o affection_n of_o his_o people_n close_o to_o he_o if_o any_o truth_n be_v of_o a_o engage_v nature_n this_o be_v it_o engage_v the_o saint_n in_o their_o whole_a man_n for_o god_n their_o life_n and_o all_o for_o god_n yea_o and_o that_o in_o the_o worst_a of_o time_n if_o the_o very_a name_n of_o god_n be_v engage_v for_o i_o there_o be_v all_o the_o reason_n why_o my_o all_o shall_v be_v engage_v for_o god_n and_o therefore_o christian_n look_v to_o it_o that_o wherein_o you_o come_v short_a in_o this_o particular_a you_o come_v short_a in_o answer_v the_o end_n of_o god_n name_n to_o you_o i_o must_v but_o name_v the_o reason_n of_o this_o truth_n because_o of_o time_n three_o to_o show_v why_o god_n continue_v his_o name_n for_o ever_o because_o that_o there_o be_v none_o like_o he_o nor_o none_o to_o be_v compare_v to_o he_o he_o be_v indeed_o the_o chief_a of_o ten_o thousand_o there_o be_v no_o king_n like_o he_o nor_o no_o potentate_n like_o he_o a_o man_n may_v be_v in_o their_o favour_n to_o day_n and_o at_o a_o little_a displease_v of_o they_o be_v turn_v out_o to_o morrow_n but_o it_o be_v not_o so_o with_o our_o god_n who_o name_n be_v i_o be_o its_o not_o a_o small_a matter_n that_o move_v he_o to_o take_v hold_n of_o judgement_n he_o be_v say_v to_o be_v slow_a to_o anger_v though_o its_o true_a a_o small_a matter_n move_v he_o to_o mercy_n and_o when_o his_o people_n do_v sin_n against_o he_o yet_o he_o be_v loath_a to_o use_v the_o rod_n if_o mercy_n may_v prevail_v yea_o he_o wait_v to_o be_v gracious_a there_o be_v no_o father_n nor_o husband_n like_v to_o our_o god_n for_o they_o be_v momentary_a and_o perish_v but_o our_o god_n endure_v and_o his_o name_n to_o all_o generation_n this_o be_v serious_o consider_v be_v it_o not_o reasonable_a to_o leave_v and_o forsake_v all_o to_o cleave_v to_o this_o god_n what_o have_v we_o to_o do_v to_o own_o or_o stand_v by_o any_o earthly_a monarch_n but_o only_o that_o monarch_n king_n jesus_n who_o in_o scripture_n be_v declare_v to_o be_v the_o only_a potentate_n and_o all_o near_a and_o dear_a relation_n be_v to_o be_v forsake_v when_o they_o come_v in_o competition_n with_o our_o god_n but_o four_o because_o of_o the_o near_a relation_n between_o god_n and_o his_o people_n he_o therefore_o continue_v his_o name_n to_o they_o god_n be_v relate_v to_o his_o people_n not_o only_o as_o a_o father_n and_o they_o his_o child_n but_o he_o as_o their_o bridegroom_n and_o husband_n and_o they_o his_o wife_n and_o spouse_n and_o so_o from_o that_o near_a relation_n to_o they_o he_o reserve_v entire_a affection_n for_o they_o but_o five_o why_o god_n continue_v his_o name_n for_o ever_o to_o his_o people_n because_o of_o the_o great_a need_n and_o necessity_n his_o people_n stand_v in_o of_o he_o whilst_o his_o people_n be_v here_o they_o be_v subject_a to_o want_n and_o necessity_n both_o to_o the_o outward_a and_o inward_a man_n and_o therefore_o the_o lord_n continue_v his_o name_n but_o last_o because_o of_o the_o sweet_a promise_n of_o the_o lord_n to_o his_o people_n see_v the_o 28._o matth._n 18_o 20._o all_o power_n in_o heaven_n and_o earth_n be_v i_o and_o lo_o i_o be_o with_o you_o to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n this_o i_o be_o have_v promise_v to_o be_v with_o they_o to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n and_o therefore_o continue_v his_o name_n to_o they_o for_o ever_o now_o i_o shall_v come_v to_o the_o last_o thing_n i_o propose_v and_o that_o be_v the_o wholesome_a uses_n and_o conclusion_n of_o this_o truth_n which_o be_v ten_o
