which_o do_v not_o humble_a his_o disciple_n for_o as_o he_o say_v in_o another_o place_n the_o veil_n be_v interpose_v that_o the_o jew_n can_v not_o see_v the_o light_n of_o life_n in_o the_o law_n so_o he_o also_o so_o long_o as_o he_o be_v void_a of_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n have_v his_o eye_n cover_v do_v please_v himself_o in_o the_o external_a show_n of_o righteousness_n he_o therefore_o count_v the_o law_n absent_a which_o though_o it_o be_v present_a before_o his_o eye_n yet_o do_v not_o smite_v he_o with_o a_o perfect_v sense_n of_o the_o judgement_n of_o the_o lord_n the_o name_n of_o occasion_n that_o we_o may_v know_v how_o the_o law_n by_o itself_o be_v not_o deadly_a but_o that_o come_v otherwise_o and_o be_v as_o a_o man_n will_v say_v foreign_a or_o such_o as_o come_v by_o some_o other_o mean_n 12_o wherefore_o the_o law_n be_v holy_a some_o think_v there_o be_v a_o repetition_n double_v in_o word_n law_n and_o commandment_n to_o who_o i_o do_v so_o holy_a and_o therefore_o be_v great_o to_o be_v reverence_v it_o be_v just_a and_o therefore_o not_o to_o be_v charge_v with_o any_o unrighteousness_n it_o be_v good_a and_o therefore_o pure_a and_o clean_a from_o all_o corruption_n so_o he_o clear_v the_o law_n of_o all_o accusation_n lest_o any_o shall_v ascribe_v that_o to_o the_o law_n which_o be_v not_o good_a just_a and_o holy_a 13_o be_v that_o than_o which_o be_v good_a make_v death_n unto_o i_o god_n forbid_v yea_o sin_n that_o it_o may_v appear_v sin_n wrought_v death_n in_o i_o by_o that_o which_o be_v good_a that_o sin_n may_v goodness_n of_o the_o law_n be_v pervert_v to_o our_o destruction_n for_o that_o must_v needs_o be_v a_o very_a poisonable_a thing_n which_o cause_v that_o which_o otherwise_o by_o his_o own_o with_o darkness_n spiritual_a how_o the_o law_n be_v call_v spiritual_a furthermore_o whereas_o he_o call_v the_o law_n spiritual_a thereby_o he_o do_v not_o only_o signify_v that_o it_o require_v the_o inward_a affection_n of_o the_o heart_n as_o many_o expound_v it_o but_o according_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o a_o antithesis_fw-la it_o have_v a_o signification_n contrary_n to_o the_o word_n carnal_a the_o former_a interpreter_n we_o speak_v of_o expound_v it_o thus_o the_o law_n be_v spiritual_a that_o be_v it_o do_v not_o only_o bind_v our_o hand_n and_o foot_n in_o respect_n of_o external_a action_n but_o also_o be_v impose_v upon_o the_o affection_n of_o the_o heart_n and_o require_v the_o sincere_a fear_n of_o god_n but_o here_o be_v express_v a_o antithesis_fw-la or_o contrariety_n between_o the_o flesh_n and_o the_o spirit_n final_o by_o the_o text_n it_o may_v sufficient_o appear_v and_o partly_o it_o have_v be_v already_o declare_v that_o under_o the_o name_n of_o flesh_n be_v comprehend_v what_o so_o ever_o man_n bring_v with_o they_o out_o of_o their_o mother_n womb_n and_o man_n be_v take_v for_o such_o as_o they_o be_v bear_v and_o for_o such_o as_o they_o be_v so_o long_o as_o they_o retain_v their_o own_o wit_n be_v call_v flesh_n for_o as_o they_o be_v corrupt_v so_o they_o neither_o savoure_v nor_o breathe_v any_o thing_n but_o that_o be_v gross_a and_o earthly_a nature_n spirit_n put_v for_o the_o renew_n of_o our_o corrupt_a nature_n on_o the_o contrary_a the_o spirit_n be_v call_v the_o renew_n of_o our_o corrupt_a nature_n while_o god_n reform_v we_o to_o his_o image_n and_o hence_o come_v that_o kind_n of_o speech_n because_o that_o newness_n which_o be_v wrought_v in_o we_o be_v the_o gift_n of_o the_o spirit_n wherefore_o the_o integrity_n of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o law_n be_v set_v against_o the_o corruption_n of_o man_n nature_n the_o meaning_n therefore_o be_v the_o law_n require_v a_o certain_a celestial_a and_o angelical_a righteousness_n wherein_o there_o shall_v appear_v no_o blot_n to_o who_o cleanness_n nothing_o ought_v to_o be_v

that_o he_o may_v moderate_v himself_o if_o he_o will_v as_o this_o pernicious_a opinion_n have_v almost_o prevail_v with_o all_o man_n namely_o that_o a_o man_n by_o his_o own_o natural_a strength_n
