think_v while_o they_o see_v the_o godly_a afflict_a and_o exercise_v with_o sundry_a calamity_n they_o think_v i_o say_v that_o god_n at_o that_o time_n take_v no_o thought_n of_o they_o whether_o they_o live_v or_o die_v and_o from_o thence_o it_o be_v that_o the_o persecutor_n themselves_o think_v that_o god_n take_v a_o like_a little_a care_n of_o their_o life_n &_o death_n they_o wax_v the_o more_o fierce_a against_o they_o as_o against_o as_o many_o vile_a and_o abject_a slave_n david_n therefore_o oppose_v to_o the_o perverse_a opinion_n of_o man_n in_o this_o place_n this_o those_o so_o lamentable_a voice_n hear_v o_o lord_n see_v o_o lord_n remember_v o_o lord_n which_o occur_v every_o where_n in_o the_o psalm_n but_o be_v they_o which_o call_v upon_o god_n from_o their_o hart_n and_o earnest_o desire_v his_o presence_n be_v those_o i_o say_v in_o the_o mean_a time_n altogether_o destitute_a of_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n will_v they_o i_o pray_v you_o be_v god_n what_o require_v we_o therefore_o which_o we_o now_o have_v for_o this_o cause_n we_o do_v this_o that_o we_o may_v the_o more_o enjoy_v and_o possess_v god_n for_o prayer_n bring_v that_o to_o pass_v that_o god_n draw_v near_o unto_o we_o and_o they_o be_v the_o increase_n of_o mercy_n &_o grace_n for_o it_o be_v not_o possible_a that_o those_o sigh_n which_o be_v not_o so_o much_o we_o spirit_n be_v and_o bless_v be_v those_o that_o hunger_n and_o thirst_n for_o righteousness_n for_o they_o shall_v be_v satisfy_v and_o we_o find_v that_o in_o experience_n in_o ourselves_o that_o we_o no_o soon_o sigh_v unto_o god_n but_o our_o soul_n be_v water_v over_o with_o a_o certain_a unspeakable_a joy_n so_o that_o we_o true_o feel_v that_o thing_n to_o wit_n that_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n through_o the_o spirit_n of_o heaviness_n and_o inutterable_a sigh_n cause_v the_o presence_n of_o god_n through_o the_o spirit_n of_o joy_n and_o unspeaktble_a gladness_n if_o thou_o shall_v the_o prevent_n of_o a_o objection_n for_o this_o may_v have_v be_v object_v either_o by_o god_n or_o by_o his_o own_o conscience_n thou_o be_v a_o sinner_n then_o how_o shall_v i_o hear_v thou_o why_o do_v i_o not_o rather_o consume_v thou_o in_o my_o wrath_n he_o answer_v first_o by_o a_o concession_n if_o thou_o shall_v straight_o mark_v iniquity_n o_o god_n sure_o i_o grant_v that_o cleanse_v utter_o stop_v up_o to_o we_o all_o entry_n unto_o god_n for_o that_o be_v the_o thing_n which_o the_o apostle_n say_v let_v we_o draw_v near_o with_o our_o heart_n purge_v from_o a_o evil_a conscience_n wherefore_o no_o entry_n be_v patent_n unto_o god_n except_o the_o heart_n be_v first_o purge_v from_o a_o evil_a conscience_n also_o that_o thing_n which_o we_o speak_v concern_v the_o conscience_n of_o sin_n we_o affirm_v the_o same_o of_o sin_n the_o self_n which_o if_o it_o be_v not_o altogether_o remoove_v out_o of_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n sure_o god_n shall_v not_o so_o much_o indeed_o as_o count_v we_o worthy_a of_o his_o sight_n and_o this_o be_v that_o which_o be_v speak_v in_o this_o place_n if_o thou_o shall_v straight_o mark_v iniquity_n o_o jah_n lord_n who_o can_v be_v able_a to_o stand_v then_o to_o comprehend_v in_o one_o word_n the_o thing_n we_o have_v speak_v the_o conscience_n of_o sin_n which_o forbid_v we_o to_o look_v upon_o our_o god_n and_o that_o be_v sin_n which_o hinder_v god_n to_o look_v and_o behold_v we_o that_o be_v miserable_a and_o we_o learn_v the_o remedy_n of_o this_o evil_a out_o of_o the_o second_o part_n of_o the_o answer_n but_o with_o thou_o be_v forgiveness_n wherefore_o this_o be_v the_o only_a remedy_n that_o we_o have_v our_o refuge_n unto_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n yea_o and_o that_o by_o a_o simple_a and_o clear_a confession_n of_o our_o sin_n for_o no_o man_n ever_o yet_o compear_v before_o god_n but_o as_o a_o certain_a guilty_a person_n crave_v the_o mercy_n of_o god_n earnest_o with_o a_o confession_n of_o his_o sin_n but_o in_o this_o the_o whole_a difficulty_n consist_v how_o we_o may_v come_v to_o that_o throne_n of_o grace_n for_o see_v we_o can_v pierce_v but_o as_o it_o be_v through_o the_o midst_n of_o justice_n as_o it_o be_v through_o a_o certain_a fire_n and_o slam_a wall_n unto_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n and_o to_o that_o throne_n of_o grace_n sure_o it_o be_v requisite_a that_o he_o that_o will_v draw_v near_o to_o that_o throne_n of_o grace_n be_v enarm_v and_o prepare_v against_o that_o wrath_n and_o righteousness_n of_o god_n which_o suffer_v nothing_o which_o have_v yea_o and_o it_o be_v never_o so_o little_a uncleanness_n in_o it_o to_o approach_v near_o to_o that_o inviolable_a majesty_n now_o we_o can_v be_v arm_v against_o the_o heat_n of_o
