that_o a_o less_o degree_n of_o heat_n will_v never_o bring_v the_o plant_n to_o perfection_n and_o a_o great_a will_v quite_o wither_v it_o before_o its_o seed_n can_v be_v ripen_v and_o fit_a for_o the_o production_n of_o a_o new_a plant_n of_o the_o same_o species_n it_o be_v easy_o observable_a how_o great_a difficulty_n there_o be_v and_o how_o much_o pain_n must_v be_v take_v by_o hot_a bed_n and_o other_o artificial_a help_n to_o raise_v plant_n in_o this_o climate_n which_o be_v transplant_v hither_o from_o the_o torrid_a zone_n but_o this_o difficulty_n proceed_v no_o doubt_n from_o the_o want_n of_o such_o a_o due_a influence_n of_o the_o sun_n as_o be_v necessary_a for_o the_o production_n of_o these_o plant_n so_o that_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o great_a difference_n between_o the_o heat_n which_o they_o have_v in_o their_o own_o proper_a soil_n and_o that_o which_o they_o participate_v of_o here_o it_o be_v hard_o to_o bring_v they_o to_o perfection_n but_o if_o we_o shall_v suppose_v this_o alteration_n to_o be_v some_o hundred_o of_o time_n great_a than_o it_o be_v without_o doubt_n we_o shall_v conclude_v it_o impossible_a for_o any_o such_o plant_n to_o grow_v with_o so_o little_a a_o degree_n of_o heat_n but_o this_o must_v have_v be_v the_o true_a case_n of_o the_o plant_n in_o the_o primitive_a earth_n at_o first_o before_o the_o diurnal_a rotation_n of_o the_o earth_n begin_v they_o sustain_v a_o degree_n of_o heat_n some_o hundred_o of_o time_n great_a than_o the_o great_a heat_n we_o have_v in_o summer_n but_o after_o the_o earth_n it_o begin_v to_o turn_v round_o its_o axis_n in_o the_o space_n of_o twenty_o four_o hour_n by_o which_o the_o action_n of_o the_o sun_n will_v be_v very_o much_o less_o than_o before_o if_o therefore_o the_o earth_n have_v no_o diurnal_a rotation_n till_o after_o the_o fall_n and_o if_o then_o only_o it_o begin_v to_o turn_v round_o its_o own_o axis_n there_o must_v have_v be_v such_o great_a and_o extraordinary_a change_n and_o alteration_n of_o heat_n and_o cold_a introduce_v by_o this_o new_a rotation_n as_o will_v necessary_o require_v new_a species_n of_o plant_n and_o vegetable_n of_o different_a nature_n from_o the_o former_a one_o which_o will_v better_o agree_v with_o the_o new_a rotation_n and_o constitution_n of_o the_o earth_n and_o the_o action_n of_o the_o
