be_v able_a to_o number_v all_o his_o benefit_n which_o every_o day_n he_o bestow_v both_o on_o the_o body_n and_o on_o the_o soul_n by_o his_o bountifulness_n come_v it_o to_o pass_v that_o all_o creature_n be_v occupy_v about_o our_o service_n not_o only_o the_o terrestrial_a but_o also_o the_o celestial_a yea_o the_o very_a angel_n who_o the_o apostle_n call_v minister_a spirit_n 1_n send_v forth_o to_o minister_v for_o their_o sake_n which_o shall_v be_v heir_n of_o salvation_n punishment_n five_o he_o say_v that_o god_n repent_v when_o he_o shall_v punish_v signify_v thereby_o that_o follow_v jonas_n example_n we_o may_v find_v fault_n with_o they_o but_o that_o we_o may_v stay_v ourselves_o upon_o his_o goodness_n love_v he_o and_o never_o suffer_v ourselves_o to_o be_v draw_v away_o from_o the_o service_n of_o this_o so_o love_v a_o father_n ionas_n now_o must_v we_o see_v what_o answer_n god_n make_v to_o jonas_n do_v thou_o well_o say_v he_o in_o be_v so_o angry_a within_o thyself_o he_o use_v such_o a_o interrogation_n as_o whereby_o he_o do_v both_o great_o reprove_v he_o and_o also_o very_o strong_o confute_v he_o as_o though_o he_o shall_v say_v thou_o seem_v in_o thy_o own_o judgement_n to_o have_v just_a and_o weighty_a cause_n why_o thou_o shall_v be_v angry_a and_o fumish_a but_o examine_v straight_o i_o pray_v thou_o how_o well_o thou_o do_v so_o for_o if_o i_o be_v of_o such_o nature_n as_o thou_o haste_v say_v i_o be_o wherefore_o shall_v the_o ninivite_n feel_v i_o after_o a_o other_o sort_n or_o what_o be_v thy_o desert_n that_o i_o shall_v have_v great_a respect_n to_o thy_o honour_n than_o to_o my_o own_o nature_n and_o glory_n shall_v i_o become_v cruel_a lest_o thou_o shall_v seem_v a_o liar_n or_o think_v thou_o that_o i_o and_o therewithal_o also_o here_o shine_v forth_o the_o wonderful_a goodness_n of_o god_n whereby_o he_o so_o patient_o bear_v with_o our_o complaint_n and_o murmur_n that_o he_o think_v no_o scorn_n to_o render_v a_o reason_n of_o his_o do_n even_o to_o such_o as_o be_v rather_o worthy_a of_o punishment_n themselves_o yea_o in_o good_a sooth_n what_o man_n be_v you_o able_a to_o show_v that_o the_o scripture_n make_v most_o friendly_a answer_n unto_o all_o these_o thing_n howbeit_o very_o profitable_a will_v it_o be_v if_o that_o which_o here_o be_v speak_v to_o jonas_n every_o man_n will_v think_v speak_v to_o himself_o and_o as_o often_o as_o he_o burst_v out_o into_o such_o outcry_n to_o consider_v upon_o this_o question_n do_v thou_o well_o in_o be_v so_o angry_a within_o thyself_o what_o be_v thou_o that_o open_v thy_o mouth_n against_o god_n say_v the_o clay_n to_o the_o potter_n why_o have_v thou_o make_v i_o on_o this_o fashion_n etc_n etc_n they_o that_o in_o this_o manner_n behave_v themselves_o shall_v eftsoon_o perceive_v rise_v up_o in_o their_o mind_n a_o great_a light_n of_o the_o divine_a knowledge_n which_o will_v easy_o put_v to_o flight_v these_o brag_a mist_n of_o carnal_a confidence_n and_o trust_n but_o what_o do_v jonas_n for_o all_o that_o he_o have_v hear_v thus_o much_o jonas_n yet_o can_v he_o not_o be_v at_o rest_n but_o get_v he_o out_o of_o the_o city_n and_o on_o the_o east_n side_n thereof_o make_v he_o a_o both_o that_o he_o may_v thence_o see_v what_o shall_v betide_v thereof_o at_o the_o length_n no_o doubt_n he_o cast_v in_o his_o mind_n no_o other_o thing_n than_o the_o utter_a ruin_n and_o overthrow_v of_o the_o city_n so_o far_o do_v carnal_a affection_n carry_v he_o clean_o away_o that_o he_o long_v to_o be_v a_o minister_n rather_o of_o death_n than_o of_o life_n to_o they_o who_o god_n before_o have_v appoint_v he_o a_o preacher_n unto_o worthy_a himself_o to_o have_v perish_v for_o the_o city_n horrible_a be_v this_o obstinacy_n by_o example_n whereof_o we_o be_v to_o be_v stir_v up_o least_o heady_o we_o give_v scope_n to_o our_o own_o affection_n but_o let_v we_o fear_v god_n and_o put_v all_o our_o hope_n of_o salvation_n in_o his_o mercy_n through_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n to_o who_o belong_v thanksgiving_n honour_n glory_n and_o dominion_n for_o ever_o amen_n the_o ten_o homely_a and_o jonas_n be_v exceed_v glad_a of_o the_o wild_a vine_n but_o upon_o the_o morrow_n against_o the_o spring_n of_o the_o day_n the_o lord_n ordain_v a_o worm_n
which_o smite_v the_o wild_a vine_n so_o that_o it_o wither_v away_v and_o when_o the_o sun_n be_v up_o god_n prepare_v a_o vehement_a wound_n and_o the_o sun_n beat_v over_o the_o head_n of_o jonas_n that_o he_o faint_v again_o and_o wish_v unto_o his_o soul_n that_o he_o may_v die_v and_o say_v it_o be_v better_a for_o i_o to_o die_v than_o to_o live_v and_o god_n say_v unto_o jonas_n do_v thou_o than_o he_o have_v do_v before_o for_o first_o of_o all_o be_v forcible_o carry_v away_o by_o mean_n of_o grief_n and_o anger_n that_o sin_n whereof_o before_o he_o have_v repent_v afresh_o he_o renew_v second_o he_o accuse_v the_o counsel_n and_o judgement_n of_o god_n rash_o prefer_v his_o own_o wisdom_n before_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n three_o although_o he_o be_v admonish_v yet_o do_v he_o not_o give_v place_n but_o still_o breathe_v after_o murder_n and_o bloodshed_n he_o fix_v both_o his_o mind_n and_o eye_n towards_o the_o destruction_n of_o the_o city_n and_o all_o these_o thing_n be_v so_o much_o the_o more_o outrageous_a for_o that_o so_o far_o be_v he_o blind_v with_o ambition_n that_o he_o set_v his_o own_o honour_n before_o the_o salvation_n of_o man_n &_o will_v have_v god_n become_v even_o a_o minister_n of_o his_o private_a ambition_n these_o thing_n be_v very_o horrible_a but_o they_o be_v write_v to_o our_o behoof_n that_o by_o they_o we_o may_v acknowledge_v first_o our_o own_o corruption_n and_o then_o god_n grace_n which_o be_v always_o ready_a to_o pardon_v as_o oft_o as_o we_o turn_v unto_o he_o now_o follow_v god_n apology_n which_o may_v in_o some_o sort_n be_v account_v in_o the_o number_n of_o those_o which_o be_v call_v *_o chriae_fw-la because_o it_o consist_v of_o a_o thing_n do_v which_o afterward_o god_n himself_o expound_v and_o even_o in_o such_o a_o sort_n as_o that_o he_o convince_v jonas_n by_o the_o very_a testimony_n of_o his_o own_o mouth_n the_o end_n and_o use_v of_o this_o whole_a place_n be_v to_o themselves_o to_o be_v man_n and_o that_o therefore_o we_o ought_v the_o less_o to_o be_v offend_v at_o this_o day_n with_o such_o contention_n as_o now_o do_v arise_v but_o if_o any_o thing_n here_o may_v be_v speak_v according_a to_o conjecture_n they_o seem_v not_o to_o judge_v much_o amiss_o who_o suppose_v it_o to_o be_v cherua_n ricinus_n for_o as_o this_o plant_n do_v easy_o grow_v and_o by_o the_o height_n thereof_o and_o broadenesse_n of_o the_o eaves_n give_v a_o very_a large_a shadow_n so_o the_o greek_a word_n sound_v very_o near_o to_o kikaion_n which_o among_o the_o latinist_n signify_v ricinus_n and_o yet_o because_o it_o be_v say_v that_o it_o grow_v up_o in_o one_o night_n i_o suppose_v that_o either_o it_o be_v some_o new_a kind_n of_o shrub_n or_o at_o the_o jest_n such_o a_o one_o as_o our_o country_n be_v not_o acquaint_v with_o and_o be_v fit_a to_o make_v barber_n or_o bower_n withal_o but_o to_o what_o purpose_n be_v it_o to_o dispute_v or_o contend_v about_o the_o name_n see_v it_o skill_v not_o what_o it_o be_v so_o that_o we_o consider_v the_o use_n and_o end_v thereof_o which_o god_n observe_v in_o bring_v of_o it_o forth_o for_o sith_o that_o jonas_n boil_v now_o in_o a_o melancholy_n chase_v unseemly_a for_o he_o sith_o also_o the_o bower_n which_o he_o have_v make_v for_o himself_o peradventure_o defend_v he_o not_o sufficient_o from_o of_o sin_n likewise_o when_o as_o david_n be_v careless_a and_o ready_a to_o perish_v in_o his_o inordinate_a lust_n god_n send_v in_o unto_o he_o nathan_n to_o stir_v he_o up_o with_o a_o very_a which_o think_v the_o multitude_n of_o child_n or_o people_n to_o be_v such_o as_o may_v not_o well_o be_v bear_v with_o all_o and_o do_v therefore_o stand_v in_o dread_n lest_o they_o shall_v intend_v to_o cut_v off_o whole_a city_n by_o the_o root_n who_o can_v doubt_v but_o that_o he_o have_v a_o especial_a respect_n unto_o all_o and_o singular_a the_o godly_a who_o for_o the_o most_o
