a_o ordinance_n for_o adjourn_v part_n of_o easter_n term_n 1654._o whereas_o many_o abuse_n and_o corruption_n be_v creep_v into_o the_o ordinary_a course_n and_o administration_n of_o justice_n both_o in_o law_n and_o equity_n the_o reformation_n whereof_o have_v not_o yet_o be_v attain_v out_o of_o a_o tender_a care_n and_o desire_n that_o so_o necessary_a and_o good_a a_o work_n may_v at_o length_n be_v bring_v to_o effect_v it_o be_v hold_v convenient_a and_o necessary_a to_o adjourn_v part_n of_o the_o next_o term_n of_o easter_n be_v it_o therefore_o ordain_v by_o his_o highness_n the_o lord_n protector_n by_o and_o with_o the_o consent_n of_o his_o council_n that_o part_n of_o the_o say_a term_n of_o easter_n now_o next_o come_n be_v adjourn_v that_o be_v to_o say_v from_o and_o after_o the_o first_o return_n call_v quindena_fw-la paschae_fw-la unto_o the_o first_o return_n of_o trinity_n term_v call_v crastino_n trinitatis_fw-la and_o all_o and_o every_o person_n or_o person_n which_o have_v cause_n or_o commandment_n to_o appear_v in_o any_o of_o the_o court_n at_o westminster_n in_o or_o at_o any_o day_n or_o time_n from_o and_o after_o the_o say_a return_n call_v quindena_fw-la paschae_fw-la and_o during_o the_o say_a term_n call_v easter_n term_n may_v tarry_v at_o their_o dwelling_n or_o where_o their_o business_n shall_v lie_v without_o resort_v to_o any_o of_o the_o say_a court_n for_o that_o cause_n and_o without_o danger_n or_o forfeiture_n penalty_n or_o contempt_n to_o be_v in_o that_o behalf_n and_o be_v it_o also_o ordain_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o writ_n of_o adjournment_n shall_v be_v direct_v to_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o say_a court_n give_v they_o auâ—hority_n to_o adjourn_v the_o say_a term_n of_o easter_n as_o aforesaid_a that_o be_v to_o say_v from_o and_o after_o the_o first_o return_n call_v quindena_fw-la paschae_fw-la until_o the_o first_o return_n of_o trinity_n term_n call_v crastino_n trinitatis_fw-la as_o before_o be_v say_v and_o the_o say_a adjournment_n shall_v be_v make_v as_o aforesaid_a and_o be_v it_o further_o ordain_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o all_o matter_n cause_n and_o suit_n depend_v in_o any_o of_o the_o say_a court_n shall_v have_v continuance_n and_o the_o party_n shall_v have_v day_n from_o the_o day_n of_o the_o say_a adjournment_n until_o the_o say_a return_n of_o crastino_n trinitatis_fw-la as_o be_v aforesaid_a and_o the_o lord_n commissioner_n of_o the_o great_a seal_n be_v require_v to_o issue_v forth_o writ_n according_o and_o be_v it_o further_o ordain_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o sheriff_n of_o london_n and_o middlesex_n and_o all_o other_o sheriff_n both_o in_o england_n and_o wales_n do_v forthwith_o proclaim_v and_o publish_v this_o ordinance_n in_o the_o chief_a market_n town_n within_o their_o several_a and_o respective_a county_n thursday_n april_n 6._o 1654._o order_a by_o his_o highness_n the_o lord_n protector_n and_o his_o council_n that_o this_o ordinance_n be_v forthwith_o print_v and_o publish_v henry_n scobell_n clerk_n of_o the_o council_n london_n print_v by_o henry_n hill_n and_o william_n du-gard_n printer_n to_o his_o highness_n the_o lord_n protector_n mdcliv_o
