etc._n etc._n but_o what_o a_o presumption_n be_v this_o in_o our_o author_n to_o prescribe_v god_n a_o new_a way_n of_o convey_v our_o prayer_n into_o the_o presence_n of_o his_o majesty_n by_o such_o a_o mean_a as_o he_o have_v no_o where_o reveal_v in_o his_o word_n where_o have_v god_n command_v his_o angel_n to_o be_v our_o mediator_n between_o we_o and_o he_o yet_o see_v how_o sly_o this_o author_n will_v foist_v in_o the_o mediation_n of_o angel_n be_v not_o the_o only_a name_n of_o christ_n our_o mediator_n in_o who_o we_o offer_v up_o all_o our_o service_n and_o sacrifice_n of_o prayer_n and_o praise_n sufficient_a to_o bring_v they_o up_o into_o the_o presence_n of_o his_o father_n yea_o and_o to_o make_v both_o we_o and_o they_o acceptable_a to_o his_o majesty_n but_o what_o promise_n of_o acceptance_n have_v our_o author_n of_o such_o mediation_n of_o angel_n if_o they_o shall_v presume_v to_o present_v our_o prayer_n much_o more_o when_o they_o do_v it_o without_o warrant_n and_o warrant_v they_o have_v none_o in_o god_n word_n and_o without_o the_o word_n we_o have_v no_o warrant_n for_o any_o service_n we_o do_v to_o god._n but_o contrary_o the_o word_n allow_v unto_o we_o but_o one_o only_a mediator_n as_o well_o of_o intercession_n as_o of_o satisfaction_n 1_o john_n 2._o if_o any_o man_n sin_n we_o have_v a_o advocate_n with_o the_o father_n jesus_n christ_n the_o righteous_a and_o he_o be_v the_o propitiation_n for_o our_o sin_n the_o same_o must_v be_v our_o advocate_n and_o intercessor_n who_o be_v also_o our_o propitiation_n therefore_o our_o author_n here_o commit_v high_a sacrilege_n if_o not_o blasphemy_n against_o the_o sacred_a majesty_n of_o god_n and_o the_o honour_n of_o jesus_n christ_n to_o assign_v god_n the_o appoint_v of_o a_o new_a way_n whereby_o we_o may_v come_v unto_o he_o namely_o another_o way_n then_o by_o jesus_n christ_n but_o proceed_v we_o to_o page_n 388._o where_o he_o set_v down_o the_o manner_n of_o commend_v the_o soul_n into_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n at_o the_o very_a point_n of_o time_n when_o it_o be_v depart_v from_o the_o body_n before_o you_o have_v his_o form_n of_o prayer_n at_o the_o hour_n of_o death_n now_o another_o form_n at_o the_o point_n of_o death_n nay_o which_o ought_v diligent_o to_o be_v mark_v at_o the_o very_a point_n of_o time_n when_o the_o soul_n be_v not_o about_o to_o depart_v but_o depart_v from_o the_o body_n sure_o a_o man_n will_v think_v his_o prayer_n have_v need_v to_o be_v very_o short_a only_o a_o jaculatorie_a breath_n and_o away_o lest_o the_o soul_n be_v depart_v from_o the_o body_n before_o he_o make_v a_o end_n of_o his_o prayer_n and_o so_o he_o shall_v pray_v for_o the_o dead_a
