diligent_a in_o the_o practice_n of_o that_o which_o bring_v all_o wisdom_n and_o understanding_n which_o be_v inward_a experience_n examination_n of_o experiment_v of_o spiritual_a thing_n according_a to_o that_o of_o the_o apostle_n try_v or_o examine_v all_o thing_n but_o hold_v that_o which_o be_v good_a in_o outward_a thing_n we_o be_v easy_o persuade_v to_o try_v before_o we_o trust_v but_o concern_v inward_a thing_n we_o be_v for_o the_o most_o part_n ready_a to_o take_v they_o upon_o trust_n and_o never_o try_v or_o examine_v whether_o those_o thing_n be_v so_o or_o no_o as_o the_o noble_a berean_o who_o be_v commend_v for_o search_v or_o examine_v the_o scripture_n to_o see_v whether_o those_o thing_n be_v so_o or_o no_o not_o whether_o those_o word_n be_v write_v but_o whether_o the_o thing_n mention_v be_v such_o for_o they_o have_v experience_n of_o the_o thing_n in_o scripture_n before_o hand_n but_o there_o be_v a_o fear_n in_o some_o that_o if_o we_o shall_v be_v so_o inquisitive_a and_o pry_v into_o mystery_n we_o shall_v run_v into_o the_o extreme_a of_o be_v too_o wise_a which_o can_v be_v except_z in_o our_o own_o conceit_n for_o our_o saviour_n say_v be_v you_o wise_a as_o serpent_n but_o innocent_a as_o dove_n and_o indeed_o true_a wisdom_n be_v require_v to_o be_v able_a to_o dispense_v the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n and_o not_o read_v and_o conceive_v only_o but_o live_v the_o life_n of_o christ_n whereby_o we_o shall_v come_v to_o the_o true_a knowledge_n of_o christ_n within_o we_o and_o though_o he_o be_v in_o our_o parent_n before_o we_o and_o in_o their_o seed_n and_o so_o from_o our_o beginning_n to_o be_v and_o continual_o ever_o since_o in_o we_o knock_v and_o call_v at_o the_o inward_a door_n of_o our_o heart_n invisible_o &_o without_o a_o form_n &_o as_o the_o seed_n of_o god_n in_o the_o embryo_n before_o our_o know_v &_o receive_v of_o he_o yet_o after_o we_o have_v open_v to_o he_o and_o hear_v his_o call_n by_o yield_v our_o heart_n in_o obedience_n thereunto_o he_o will_v get_v a_o form_n in_o we_o &_o be_v bear_v in_o we_o and_o we_o shall_v be_v regenerate_v in_o he_o and_o so_o we_o shall_v often_o feel_v he_o and_o see_v he_o but_o after_o that_o again_o we_o must_v attain_v the_o stature_n of_o a_o man_n in_o christ_n and_o be_v his_o disciple_n and_o scholar_n and_o be_v teach_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n proceed_v from_o he_o in_o we_o before_o we_o can_v know_v and_o understand_v such_o mystery_n as_o his_o ordinance_n be_v but_o if_o we_o do_v seek_v we_o shall_v find_v god_n and_o christ_n in_o our_o heart_n for_o though_o they_o be_v in_o we_o we_o find_v they_o not_o because_o we_o examine_v not_o what_o and_o who_o they_o be_v and_o we_o be_v discourage_v in_o our_o seek_n partly_o because_o many_o have_v seek_v as_o we_o have_v account_v it_o aright_o and_o have_v not_o find_v but_o the_o truth_n be_v they_o have_v not_o seek_v in_o the_o right_a place_n they_o look_v to_o find_v god_n any_o where_o but_o in_o their_o heart_n and_o yet_o he_o that_o can_v find_v he_o there_o shall_v never_o be_v able_a to_o find_v he_o at_o all_o but_o there_o whosoever_o seek_v shall_v find_v he_o who_o be_v the_o fountain_n from_o whence_o all_o thing_n flow_v forth_o the_o scripture_n do_v flow_v from_o he_o and_o whatsoever_o can_v possible_o have_v be_v write_v be_v hide_v in_o he_o the_o prophet_n and_o apostle_n write_v and_o speak_v what_o they_o understand_v but_o god_n be_v in_o their_o heart_n and_o mind_n and_o fill_v they_o with_o the_o understanding_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n have_v not_o the_o spirit_n by_o measure_n for_o in_o he_o dwell_v the_o fullness_n of_o the_o deity_n bodily_a and_o he_o grow_v in_o understanding_n till_o he_o have_v the_o unction_n above_o his_o fellow_n from_o which_o understanding_n in_o he_o proceed_v those_o say_n whereupon_o the_o people_n confess_v that_o he_o teach_v as_o one_o have_v power_n and_o not_o as_o the_o scribe_n and_o pharisee_n who_o though_o they_o be_v learn_v in_o the_o scripture_n yet_o christ_n say_v to_o they_o you_o err_v not_o know_v the_o scripture_n that_o be_v the_o meaning_n of_o the_o thing_n express_v in_o they_o nor_o the_o power_n of_o god_n and_o he_o that_o understand_v not_o the_o thing_n in_o his_o mind_n which_o he_o will_v utter_v can_v right_o speak_v nor_o write_v of_o it_o the_o scripture_n be_v such_o writing_n of_o man_n full_a of_o divine_a wisdom_n and_o understanding_n but_o few_o other_o book_n be_v write_v by_o those_o that_o so_o much_o as_o think_v that_o the_o apostle_n have_v such_o through_o knowledge_n of_o what_o they_o write_v in_o divine_a mystery_n some_o there_o be_v that_o seem_v to_o think_v that_o the_o writer_n of_o the_o scripture_n have_v it_o by_o such_o a_o kind_n and_o manner_n of_o revelation_n as_o if_o a_o man_n or_o angel_n shall_v relate_v and_o dictate_v word_n to_o they_o and_o they_o themselves_o have_v no_o understanding_n of_o it_o more_o than_o their_o reason_n can_v apprehend_v upon_o the_o bare_a hear_n of_o the_o word_n and_o that_o be_v all_o the_o skill_n some_o of_o this_o age_n account_v possible_a to_o be_v attain_v in_o the_o mystery_n of_o god_n but_o we_o be_v direct_v by_o the_o apostle_n james_n who_o well_o understand_v what_o he_o say_v by_o experience_n that_o if_o we_o want_v understanding_n we_o shall_v ask_v it_o of_o god_n and_o though_o god_n be_v in_o every_o one_o and_o every_o one_o live_v move_v and_o have_v his_o be_v in_o he_o yet_o without_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n move_v and_o teach_v we_o in_o our_o understanding_n we_o know_v he_o not_o where_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v in_o that_o man_n heart_n the_o spirit_n of_o god_n have_v move_v and_o teach_v he_o in_o his_o understanding_n but_o from_o that_o small_a measure_n of_o understanding_n he_o be_v not_o able_a present_o to_o apprehend_v the_o mystery_n of_o that_o spirit_n and_o of_o those_o fruit_n that_o be_v whence_o they_o spring_v how_o they_o be_v beget_v and_o bring_v forth_o how_o they_o grow_v etc._n etc._n nor_o can_v

understand_v it_o and_o introduce_v their_o faith_n into_o the_o child_n will_n and_o so_o with_o their_o introduce_v will_n in_o the_o child_n will_n together_o plunge_v or_o sink_v themselves_o down_o with_o this_o oath_n into_o god_n covenant_n through_o the_o word_n of_o christ_n upon_o his_o command_n in_o the_o water-baptism_n and_o apprehend_v the_o command_n of_o christ_n in_o themselves_o viz_o in_o their_o faith_n and_o so_o in_o their_o understanding_n enter_v into_o the_o covenant_n with_o the_o child_n ignorance_n child_n or_o ignorance_n not-understanding_n and_o in_o the_o stead_n and_o with_o the_o will_n of_o the_o child_n in_o their_o will_n make_v such_o a_o promise_n to_o god_n for_o this_o the_o parent_n may_v and_o ought_v especial_o to_o do_v see_v the_o child_n be_v spring_v up_o out_o of_o their_o life_n and_o substance_n as_o the_o branch_n out_o of_o the_o stock_n thus_o stock_n thus_o so_o they_o have_v also_o power_n to_o comprehend_v the_o will_n of_o the_o child_n in_o the_o will_n of_o their_o faith_n and_o with_o the_o will_n of_o the_o child_n to_o give_v up_o and_o bind_v or_o unite_v it_o unto_o god_n 22._o moreover_o the_o baptiser_n have_v this_o in_o his_o power_n who_o upon_o the_o command_n of_o christ_n stand_v there_o in_o christ_n stead_n and_o bring_v in_o his_o mouth_n the_o command_n of_o christ_n and_o
