whatsoever_o he_o may_v command_v whether_o unlawful_a or_o unjust_a or_o to_o think_v all_o his_o attempt_n and_o action_n justifiable_a throughout_o this_o be_v indeed_o in_o the_o high_a degree_n and_o seem_o to_o honour_v he_o but_o in_o a_o more_o serious_a and_o as_o true_o a_o loyal_a way_n of_o his_o be_v honour_v by_o his_o subject_n be_v when_o they_o or_o those_o who_o be_v put_v in_o place_n and_o auhority_n over_o they_o shall_v inquire_v into_o and_o provide_v against_o all_o thing_n incident_a to_o his_o dishonour_n when_o they_o shall_v endeavour_v to_o suppress_v all_o astront_n which_o may_v be_v offer_v to_o his_o dignity_n this_o though_o a_o more_o remote_a and_o less_o flatter_a yet_o a_o more_o stableand_v certain_a discharge_n of_o duty_n in_o honour_v he_o to_o the_o covenant_n the_o q_o covenant_n preamble_n prefix_v thereto_o point_n at_o the_o sense_n thereof_o in_o these_o word_n whereas_o a_o covenant_n for_o reformation_n and_o preservation_n of_o commons_o of_o all_o sort_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o england_n scotland_n and_o ireland_n do_v swear_v that_o they_o shall_v sincere_o real_o and_o constant_o through_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n endeavour_n in_o their_o several_a place_n and_o calling_n the_o preservation_n of_o the_o reform_a religion_n second_o that_o they_o shall_v in_o like_o manner_n without_o respect_n of_o person_n king_n majesty_n person_n and_o authority_n in_o the_o preservation_n and_o defence_n of_o the_o true_a religion_n and_o liberty_n of_o the_o kingdom_n four_o that_o they_o shall_v with_o all_o faithfulness_n endeavour_v the_o discovery_n of_o all_o such_o as_o have_v be_v or_o shall_v be_v incendiary_n malignant_n or_o evil_a instrument_n by_o hinder_v the_o reformation_n of_o religion_n divide_v the_o king_n from_o his_o people_n or_o one_o of_o the_o kingdom_n from_o another_o and_o they_o to_o bring_v to_o public_a trial_n five_o that_o justice_n may_v be_v do_v upon_o the_o wilful_a opposer_n of_o the_o firm_a peace_n and_o union_n betwixt_o the_o kingdom_n six_o that_o they_o shall_v in_o this_o common_a cause_n of_o religion_n liberty_n and_o peace_n of_o the_o kingdom_n assist_v and_o defend_v all_o those_o that_o take_v the_o covenant_n and_o shall_v not_o suffer_v themselves_o direct_o or_o indirect_o by_o whatsoever_o combination_n persuasion_n or_o covenant_n do_v cease_v as_o when_o we_o swear_v homage_n and_o fealty_n to_o our_o lord_n and_o superior_a who_o afterward_o cease_v to_o be_v our_o lord_n and_o superior_a than_o the_o formal_a imminent_a danger_n of_o invasion_n from_o a_o foreign_a enemy_n and_o the_o subject_n shall_v for_o the_o defence_n thereof_o enter_v into_o a_o solemn_a league_n in_o these_o word_n whereas_o a_o
