and_o other_o trial_n by_o fire_n and_o water_n etc._n etc._n as_o in_o the_o trial_n of_o witch_n suspicion_n of_o adultery_n etc._n etc._n and_o all_o doubt_n i_o shall_v first_o treat_v of_o duel_n which_o be_v without_o question_n unlawful_a in_o all_o case_n yea_o of_o the_o great_a doubt_n but_o first_o to_o speak_v to_o plain_a case_n most_o of_o which_o be_v disgrace_n affront_n &c_n &c_n for_o which_o the_o law_n give_v none_o or_o not_o considerable_a satisfaction_n or_o reparation_n now_o it_o be_v clear_a in_o law_n and_o reason_n that_o when_o word_n and_o sign_n become_v dangerous_a and_o prejudicial_a the_o magistrate_n ought_v to_o provide_v according_o to_o repress_v king_n james_n make_v very_o rational_a order_n in_o the_o very_a cause_n of_o duel_n but_o see_v they_o not_o execute_v which_o disgust_v the_o most_o discreet_a spirit_n but_o it_o be_v evident_a the_o catch_n be_v but_o to_o halter_n the_o great_a man_n in_o the_o spring_n of_o the_o star-chamber_n law_n such_o policy_n never_o thrive_v yet_o piety_n when_o the_o end_n be_v god_n glory_n with_o the_o people_n good_a not_o particular_a person_n interest_n be_v the_o best_a policy_n let_v therefore_o the_o magistrate_n no_o long_o count_v word_n light_a while_o they_o bear_v the_o weight_n and_o price_n of_o blood_n but_o repair_v every_o breach_n give_v a_o just_a recompense_n for_o every_o loss_n and_o then_o punish_v transgressor_n severe_o in_o such_o case_n for_o many_o think_v they_o may_v just_o become_v their_o own_o avenger_n where_o thc_a law_n afford_v no_o remedy_n the_o example_n be_v evident_a in_o steal_v dog_n so_o call_v for_o pleasure_n which_o have_v cost_v life_n and_o ear_n the_o lord_n martial_n do_v take_v notice_n of_o some_o of_o these_o matter_n but_o not_o all_o and_o that_o with_o such_o delay_n and_o difficulty_n that_o the_o party_n be_v better_o try_v it_o short_o therefore_o for_o all_o word_n give_v speedy_a remedy_n let_v the_o complaint_n come_v present_o to_o the_o judge_n and_o receive_v a_o trial_n according_o as_o the_o supreme_a magistrate_n shall_v order_v for_o the_o second_o part_n which_o be_v difficulty_n suspicion_n etc._n etc._n we_o have_v no_o infallible_a word_n to_o warrant_v it_o the_o practice_n arise_v rather_o from_o heathenish_a superstition_n than_o christian_a faith_n therefore_o we_o be_v to_o leave_v they_o to_o god_n judgement_n and_o settle_v the_o matter_n rather_o some_o other_o way_n as_o of_o lot_n in_o case_n of_o doubt_n in_o civil_a claim_n which_o
