afford_v we_o not_o only_a crumb_n but_o meat_n and_o drink_v and_o the_o full_a benefit_n honour_n and_o comfort_n of_o his_o own_o table_n though_o we_o be_v full_a a_o thousand_o time_n of_o sin_n in_o our_o soul_n than_o lazarus_n be_v of_o disease_n in_o his_o body_n and_o these_o sin_n be_v much_o more_o loathsome_a to_o god_n then_o his_o disease_n be_v to_o the_o rich_a man_n yet_o according_a to_o his_o wont_a malice_n when_o he_o see_v he_o can_v not_o utter_o deprive_v they_o nor_o keep_v they_o from_o the_o use_n of_o this_o notable_a mean_n of_o grace_n he_o labour_v cunning_o to_o infect_v and_o stain_v it_o with_o sundry_a corruption_n thereby_o to_o defile_v they_o in_o the_o use_n of_o this_o sacrament_n and_o so_o to_o make_v it_o unprofitable_a to_o they_o and_o sure_o in_o a_o short_a time_n he_o prevail_v great_o on_o their_o weakness_n herein_o and_o bring_v in_o much_o disorder_n and_o abuse_v among_o they_o yea_o such_o gross_a abuse_n that_o they_o poison_v their_o holy_a assembly_n verse_n 17._o they_o come_v together_o not_o for_o profit_n but_o for_o hurt_v whereas_o this_o sacrament_n be_v ordain_v for_o their_o profit_n and_o good_a by_o this_o mean_v it_o turn_v to_o their_o hurt_n such_o gross_a abuse_n they_o be_v as_o bring_v down_o god_n sensible_a judgement_n upon_o they_o verse_n 30._o for_o this_o cause_n many_o be_v a_o horrible_a abuse_n in_o the_o holy_a and_o religious_a feast_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n the_o apostle_n so_o soon_o as_o he_o hear_v of_o these_o abuse_n in_o zeal_n for_o god_n glory_n in_o conscience_n of_o his_o own_o duty_n and_o in_o a_o holy_a jealousy_n for_o the_o pure_a use_n of_o the_o lord_n ordinance_n and_o in_o a_o fatherly_a care_n which_o he_o have_v over_o these_o corinthian_n who_o he_o have_v late_o beget_v to_o the_o faith_n present_o take_v a_o course_n to_o reform_v and_o redress_v these_o abuse_n and_o as_o the_o nature_n of_o all_o right_a and_o true_a reformation_n do_v require_v that_o when_o thing_n be_v out_o of_o square_a they_o be_v to_o be_v refine_v and_o renew_v according_a to_o the_o first_o original_a so_o the_o apostle_n be_v to_o redress_v the_o abuse_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n among_o they_o he_o bring_v they_o back_o to_o the_o first_o institution_n to_o the_o first_o lord_n supper_n that_o ever_o be_v and_o by_o that_o pattern_n frame_v his_o reformation_n and_o there_o he_o rehearse_v the_o institution_n verse_n 23._o this_o bread_n be_v my_o body_n etc._n etc._n and_o this_o cup_n be_v my_o blood_n etc._n etc._n the_o first_o table_n hear_v pray_v and_o some_o other_o part_n of_o god_n worship_n but_o be_v not_o so_o conscionable_a of_o the_o second_o table_n either_o you_o neglect_v your_o ordinary_a call_n or_o be_v unjust_a in_o your_o deal_n a_o exception_n too_o common_a and_o too_o just_a against_o many_o great_a professor_n on_o the_o other_o side_n some_o be_v careful_a of_o the_o duty_n of_o the_o second_o table_n they_o be_v just_a in_o their_o deal_n and_o will_v wrong_v no_o man_n witting_o and_o so_o think_v that_o be_v religion_n enough_o to_o be_v save_v by_o oh_o my_o brethren_n you_o be_v deceive_v on_o both_o side_n it_o be_v true_a that_o both_o these_o kind_n of_o duty_n be_v good_a but_o so_o as_o they_o be_v both_o practise_v together_o 1_o john_n 3.23_o this_o be_v god_n commandment_n that_o we_o believe_v in_o his_o son_n and_o love_v one_o another_o where_o all_o the_o duty_n of_o the_o first_o table_n be_v command_v under_o the_o name_n of_o faith_n and_o our_o heart_n and_o life_n be_v able_a to_o speak_v for_o we_o that_o we_o be_v due_o conversant_a in_o the_o practice_n of_o holy_a and_o religious_a duty_n we_o may_v bold_o conclude_v that_o we_o be_v true_a and_o sound_a professor_n but_o if_o our_o practice_n be_v naught_o this_o our_o profession_n be_v nothing_o worth_a to_o we_o our_o saviour_n himself_o set_v the_o matter_n before_o we_o
