truth_n of_o save_a grace_n yet_o it_o may_v be_v they_o say_v nothing_o or_o nothing_o to_o the_o purpose_n in_o this_o behalf_n therefore_o be_v these_o man_n case_n so_o dangerous_a because_o you_o you_o take_v delight_n in_o such_o silent_a and_o large_a and_o remiss_a unfaithful_a conscience_n you_o love_v not_o to_o have_v your_o conscience_n too_o busy_a with_o you_o you_o like_v not_o that_o your_o conscience_n shall_v be_v too_o clamorous_a and_o importunate_a with_o you_o you_o will_v have_v they_o not_o too_o rigid_a and_o vehement_a against_o your_o sin_n it_o fare_v with_o you_o as_o with_o many_o young_a man_n who_o have_v sell_v themselves_o unto_o folly_n and_o think_v none_o their_o friend_n but_o parasite_n that_o flatter_v they_o or_o those_o who_o connive_v and_o peace_n it_o be_v conscience_n that_o never_o will_v let_v the_o prodigal_a son_n be_v quiet_a till_o he_o return_v to_o his_o father_n and_o say_v unto_o he_o i_o have_v sin_v against_o heaven_n the_o degree_n of_o it_o 3._o the_o difference_n of_o the_o trouble_n that_o may_v be_v in_o a_o good_a and_o that_o may_v be_v in_o a_o bad_a conscience_n be_v i._o what_o a_o trouble_a conscience_n be_v it_o be_v a_o conscience_n accuse_v for_o sin_n and_o affright_v with_o apprehension_n of_o god_n wrath_n and_o here_o i_o will_v have_v you_o consider_v two_o thing_n 1._o what_o be_v the_o displeasure_n and_o our_o conscience_n see_v it_o when_o his_o anger_n rest_v upon_o we_o and_o our_o conscience_n feel_v it_o this_o be_v another_o cause_n of_o the_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n 3._o sin_n do_v deserve_v namely_o death_n and_o judgement_n and_o damnation_n for_o ever_o this_o do_v most_o trouble_n and_o disquiet_v conscience_n when_o it_o fasten_v on_o the_o apprehension_n of_o it_o the_o apostle_n call_v it_o a_o fearful_a look_v for_o of_o judgement_n when_o conscience_n look_v for_o nothing_o else_o but_o for_o hell_n and_o damnation_n this_o must_v needs_o trouble_v conscience_n 4._o another_o cause_n be_v privative_a want_v of_o supportance_n when_o god_n do_v withhold_v from_o conscience_n the_o help_n of_o his_o spirit_n you_o know_v the_o spirit_n can_v enable_v conscience_n to_o undergo_v all_o its_o trouble_n the_o spirit_n can_v prompt_v it_o with_o mercy_n and_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n and_o hold_v it_o up_o but_o when_o the_o lord_n bereave_v the_o conscience_n of_o this_o help_n and_o do_v not_o at_o all_o support_v it_o this_o must_v needs_o also_o trouble_v conscience_n 5._o when_o god_n do_v fasten_v on_o the_o conscience_n such_o thought_n as_o may_v affright_v and_o terrify_v it_o as_o thus_o god_n do_v not_o love_v i_o christ_n will_v not_o own_v i_o i_o have_v sin_v i_o be_o a_o reprobate_n past_a hope_n etc._n etc._n when_o such_o thought_n as_o these_o fasten_v on_o the_o conscience_n it_o can_v choose_v then_o but_o be_v trouble_v thus_o i_o have_v show_v you_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o the_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n second_o this_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n consist_v in_o two_o thing_n first_o in_o want_n of_o comfort_n it_o can_v apply_v to_o itself_o neither_o the_o promise_n of_o this_o life_n nor_o of_o that_o which_o be_v to_o come_v conscience_n cry_v this_o belong_v not_o to_o i_o this_o mercy_n this_o comfort_n be_v not_o my_o portion_n second_o in_o a_o terror_n and_o anguish_n of_o
