the_o word_n of_o god_n with_o great_a force_n into_o their_o mind_n and_o that_o according_a to_o his_o good_a pleasure_n and_o election_n of_o grace_n 1._o eâ—â—y_o â—3_n rom._n 1._o by_o which_o as_o many_o as_o be_v appoint_v to_o eternal_a life_n do_v believe_v act_v 13._o by_o this_o motive_n god_n himself_o do_v stir_v up_o the_o mind_n of_o saint_n paul_n be_v at_o corinth_n and_o do_v repentance_n this_o decree_n see_v it_o can_v be_v hinder_v it_o be_v certain_a that_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o elect_v not_o so_o be_v hinder_v that_o they_o shall_v final_o fall_v away_o the_o truth_n of_o which_o doctrine_n while_o these_o sectary_n do_v oppugn_v they_o do_v cast_v themselves_o into_o absurd_a and_o enormous_a opinion_n such_o as_o be_v these_o that_o election_n be_v not_o irrevocable_a nor_o peremptory_a before_o death_n that_o those_o that_o be_v elect_v may_v be_v reprobate_v that_o the_o number_n of_o the_o elect_a be_v not_o certain_a and_o determine_v by_o the_o decree_n and_o will_n of_o god_n but_o that_o their_o number_n may_v be_v increase_v and_o diminish_v that_o all_o man_n be_v conditional_o elect_v that_o god_n be_v often_o disappoint_v of_o his_o intention_n wish_v and_o desire_v which_o dream_n full_a of_o fever-like_a subtlety_n and_o vain_a dotage_n that_o i_o may_v speak_v no_o worse_o of_o they_o be_v as_o i_o think_v abundant_o confute_v by_o us._n ii_o we_o have_v hear_v saint_n paul_n ephes_n 1.3.4_o teach_v that_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n be_v give_v according_a to_o election_n hence_o it_o appear_v that_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n cry_v out_o upon_o it_o these_o scoff_a man_n that_o they_o may_v procure_v envy_n to_o we_o do_v boast_o cast_v out_o these_o thing_n among_o the_o unskilful_a common_a people_n and_o do_v raise_v we_o do_v not_o believe_v to_o wit_n that_o god_n call_v those_o who_o be_v not_o convert_v purposely_o and_o only_o for_o this_o end_n that_o they_o may_v be_v inexcusable_a which_o thing_n far_o be_v it_o from_o we_o that_o we_o shall_v say_v we_o say_v indeed_o that_o this_o do_v happen_v but_o we_o do_v not_o say_v that_o this_o be_v the_o only_a end_n propound_v by_o god_n we_o do_v not_o think_v that_o the_o reprobate_n be_v only_o therefore_o call_v that_o they_o may_v be_v make_v inexcusable_a although_o by_o despise_v that_o call_n they_o bring_v great_a damnation_n upon_o themselves_o god_n indeed_o do_v offer_v his_o gospel_n to_o those_o that_o will_v reject_v it_o but_o not_o to_o that_o end_n that_o they_o may_v reject_v it_o the_o end_n propound_v to_o god_n in_o call_v those_o who_o he_o know_v will_v not_o obey_v be_v to_o require_v that_o which_o they_o owe_v and_o to_o declare_v what_o be_v acceptable_a to_o he_o do_v he_o not_o also_o call_v warn_v and_o threaten_v they_o that_o at_o the_o least_o they_o may_v be_v so_o much_o constrain_v by_o fear_n that_o they_o may_v not_o hurt_v those_o that_o be_v good_a and_o that_o by_o the_o example_n of_o their_o stubbornness_n which_o go_v not_o unpunished_a the_o godly_a may_v learn_v to_o fear_v and_o by_o compare_v their_o condition_n with_o those_o to_o who_o god_n have_v not_o vouchsafe_v the_o like_a grace_n they_o may_v more_o earnest_o love_n god_n for_o the_o prerogative_n grant_v to_o they_o xx._n these_o sectary_n object_n again_o that_o by_o this_o mean_n some_o man_n have_v matter_n and_o cause_n of_o security_n minister_v to_o they_o and_o of_o the_o contempt_n of_o those_o mean_n which_o god_n be_v wont_a to_o use_v to_o work_v conversion_n such_o as_o be_v the_o preach_n of_o the_o word_n etc._n etc._n for_o if_o no_o man_n can_v convert_v himself_o before_o this_o unresistible_a draw_v and_o as_o soon_o as_o he_o be_v unresistible_o draw_v he_o must_v needs_o be_v altogether_o convert_v than_o all_o our_o care_n and_o diligence_n be_v void_a and_o unprofitable_a and_o to_o other_o there_o be_v matter_n of_o perpetual_a doubt_n minister_v as_o long_o as_o they_o feel_v no_o such_o draw_v we_o have_v already_o advertise_v that_o this_o opinion_n be_v false_o lay_v upon_o us._n that_o god_n do_v draw_v a_o man_n unresistible_o we_o only_o say_v that_o the_o elect_v although_o they_o may_v resist_v a_o long_a time_n yet_o at_o length_n they_o obey_v god_n call_v and_o their_o voluntary_a conversion_n be_v wrought_v certain_o and_o infallible_o and_o that_o it_o can_v come_v to_o pass_v that_o they_o shall_v never_o be_v convert_v or_o be_v convert_v that_o they_o shall_v final_o fall_v away_o and_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v at_o length_n extinguish_v and_o be_v final_o overcome_v by_o the_o resistance_n of_o the_o flesh_n xxi_o we_o deny_v that_o security_n or_o contempt_n of_o the_o word_n can_v follow_v from_o such_o draw_v see_v that_o that_o grace_n itself_o do_v create_v in_o we_o care_n and_o diligence_n see_v i_o pray_v how_o ill_o these_o thing_n square_v together_o and_o how_o unfit_o it_o be_v say_v that_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n do_v hinder_v godly_a carefulness_n see_v that_o this_o carefulness_n itself_o be_v a_o part_n of_o grace_n for_o how_o shall_v grace_v by_o which_o a_o man_n be_v regenerate_v corrupt_v he_o or_o how_o shall_v grace_v by_o which_o he_o be_v stir_v up_o and_o prick_v forward_o give_v he_o over_o to_o a_o languish_a idleness_n therefore_o they_o do_v as_o if_o i_o shall_v say_v that_o a_o man_n be_v kill_v by_o the_o resurrection_n or_o that_o he_o be_v black_v over_o with_o a_o white_a colour_n for_o they_o say_v that_o negligence_n be_v bring_v by_o that_o grace_n which_o do_v beget_v godly_a care_n xxii_o and_o there_o be_v no_o doubt_n but_o that_o the_o same_o absurdity_n may_v be_v draw_v from_o the_o opinion_n of_o arminius_n whereby_o he_o think_v that_o some_o man_n be_v draw_v of_o god_n by_o a_o congruent_a and_o agreeable_a manner_n and_o time_n by_o which_o they_o that_o be_v call_v do_v most_o certain_o follow_v for_o i_o may_v say_v that_o by_o
