so_o much_o as_o the_o other_o do_v they_o yet_o must_v it_o needs_o touch_v we_o near_o also_o when_o as_o not_o only_o our_o corn_n fail_v so_o much_o as_o it_o do_v but_o our_o cattle_n also_o great_a and_o small_a and_o that_o in_o a_o manner_n general_o throughout_o the_o whole_a and_o in_o all_o part_n of_o the_o land_n whatsoever_o it_o the_o like_a sort_n of_o people_n among_o we_o also_o be_v to_o be_v quick_a n_v up_o unto_o the_o consideration_n of_o it_o the_o same_o sort_n of_o people_n likewise_o who_o the_o prophet_n call_v on_o thén_n may_v well_o be_v call_v on_o at_o this_o present_a those_o that_o have_v live_v in_o some_o special_a excess_n and_o other_o likewise_o that_o have_v live_v in_o pleasure_n in_o that_o abundance_n that_o god_n have_v give_v they_o for_o if_o they_o have_v live_v in_o some_o special_a excess_n then_o have_v they_o good_a cause_n to_o sorrow_n not_o only_o on_o behalf_n of_o themselves_o that_o now_o be_v strengthen_v so_o much_o the_o more_o and_o for_o that_o they_o do_v so_o grievous_o offend_v thereby_o but_o also_o because_o that_o excess_n of_o they_o be_v so_o great_a a_o cause_n of_o that_o scarcity_n since_o so_o likewise_o if_o they_o do_v no_o more_o but_o only_o enjoy_v their_o own_o abundance_n yet_o therein_o also_o they_o have_v good_a cause_n to_o lament_v partly_o for_o that_o many_o of_o they_o at_o the_o least_o be_v since_o much_o straighten_v of_o that_o liberal_a allowance_n that_o before_o they_o take_v to_o themselves_o but_o especial_o for_o that_o hereby_o they_o may_v find_v that_o see_v they_o will_v never_o take_v up_o of_o themselves_o but_o still_o take_v their_o pleasure_n so_o much_o as_o they_o do_v they_o have_v so_o bring_v to_o pass_v that_o to_o their_o further_a reproach_n since_o god_n himself_o be_v fain_o in_o this_o sort_n to_o teach_v they_o to_o gather_v then selve_o unto_o some_o better_a course_n of_o sobriety_n that_o both_o these_o sort_n also_o be_v to_o take_v one_o and_o the_o selse_a same_o lesson_n together_o with_o those_o other_o out_o of_o the_o prophet_n it_o need_v so_o much_o the_o less_o to_o be_v doubt_v as_o we_o may_v very_o plain_o see_v that_o all_o such_o disposition_n of_o they_o be_v ever_o void_a of_o all_o such_o affection_n and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o much_o do_v need_v they_o for_o first_o as_o touch_v those_o that_o give_v themselves_o to_o so_o great_a excess_n as_o they_o do_v never_o acquaint_v themselves_o with_o any_o kind_n of_o godly_a sorrow_n so_o by_o the_o reason_n of_o the_o excess_n that_o they_o do_v use_v they_o be_v not_o so_o much_o as_o able_a in_o any_o good_a measure_n to_o hold_v up_o their_o eye_n or_o to_o awake_v and_o yet_o be_v it_o good_a and_o needful_a for_o they_o not_o only_o to_o stir_v up_o themselves_o and_o to_o awake_v that_o so_o they_o may_v the_o better_o see_v what_o case_n they_o be_v in_o before_o it_o be_v too_o late_o to_o amend_v it_o but_o also_o to_o give_v themselves_o to_o earnest_a sorrow_n both_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o waste_n they_o have_v make_v and_o for_o the_o vengeance_n that_o be_v due_a to_o the_o same_o then_o also_o as_o touch_v those_o that_o have_v not_o make_v so_o great_a excess_n but_o because_o they_o have_v wherewithal_o have_v always_o frame_v their_o portion_n according_o and_o take_v their_o pleasure_n of_o the_o abundance_n that_o god_n have_v give_v they_o because_o that_o use_n of_o abundance_n and_o wealth_n do_v easy_o make_v man_n to_o forget_v themselves_o and_o unable_a to_o bear_v in_o good_a and_o orderly_a manner_n a_o straight_a allowance_n therefore_o be_v théy_v also_o so_o much_o the_o rather_o to_o stir_v up_o themselves_o from_o that_o their_o drowsy_a forgetfulness_n and_o to_o be_v sorry_a that_o they_o have_v so_o far_o disable_v themselves_o to_o take_v in_o good_a part_n &_o quiet_o to_o bear_v a_o hard_a estate_n sound_a our_o sorrow_n also_o aught_o to_o be_v sound_a and_o because_o that_o so_o many_o way_n we_o have_v so_o far_o provoke_v the_o wrath_n of_o god_n against_o we_o and_o especial_o both_o these_o sort_n aforesaid_a therefore_o it_o be_v meet_v likewise_o that_o we_o never_o content_v ourselves_o with_o a_o slender_a sorrow_n but_o that_o ever_o we_o seek_v to_o bring_v it_o to_o the_o measure_n that_o of_o they_o be_v require_v as_o before_o we_o have_v hear_v especial_o when_o the_o reason_n that_o the_o prophet_n there_o do_v use_v do_v come_v in_o a_o manner_n as_o near_o unto_o we_o as_o they_o do_v to_o they_o for_o first_o as_o touch_v the_o thing_n itself_o although_o the_o good_a blessing_n of_o the_o earth_n be_v not_o altogether_o so_o much_o cut_v óf_n from_o we_o especial_o from_o those_o that_o now_o we_o speak_v óf_n because_o that_o they_o will_v light_o have_v they_o when_o other_o do_v need_v they_o as_o they_o be_v from_o thém_n yet_o be_v they_o so_o far_o cut_v óf_n from_o ú_n also_o that_o very_o many_o be_v much_o distress_v &_o some_o among_o we_o utter_o lose_v and_o those_o also_o that_o among_o ú_n have_v before_o so_o exceed_v or_o else_o have_v but_o live_v in_o that_o abundance_n can_v since_o in_o no_o wise_a hold_n on_o that_o course_n nor_o come_v any_o thing_n near_o it_o but_o that_o needs_o they_o must_v straighten_v the_o mean_a sort_n so_o far_o that_o they_o shall_v make_v
he_o so_o order_v the_o matter_n that_o fall_v at_o variance_n among_o themselves_o two_o part_n of_o they_o fall_v on_o the_o three_o &_o when_o they_o have_v utter_o destroy_v thém_n then_o fall_v they_o each_o one_o on_o the_o other_o also_o and_o so_o make_v a_o clean_a riddance_n of_o all_o and_o leave_v the_o victory_n and_o spoil_v together_o to_o the_o people_n of_o god_n without_o any_o stroke_n as_o they_o be_v but_o come_v towards_o they_o and_o with_o instrument_n and_o voice_n praise_v the_o lord_n and_o see_v the_o lord_n call_v this_o but_o plead_n and_o yet_o appoint_v the_o place_n of_o hear_v to_o be_v in_o the_o valley_n of_o so_o famous_a a_o execution_n as_o hereby_o he_o give_v they_o to_o understand_v that_o their_o cause_n be_v so_o naught_o that_o it_o shall_v no_o soon_o come_v to_o hear_v but_o that_o a_o sharp_a execution_n thereupon_o shall_v be_v do_v so_o we_o also_o find_v the_o cause_n of_o these_o so_o bad_a as_o it_o be_v may_v very_o well_o especial_o because_o that_o by_o the_o corruption_n of_o doctrine_n that_o they_o have_v bring_v into_o the_o church_n they_o have_v disperse_v the_o people_n of_o god_n almost_o into_o all_o the_o part_v not_o only_o with_o the_o boy_n &_o girl_n the_o small_a and_o mean_a of_o the_o people_n of_o god_n but_o with_o man_n and_o woman_n also_o the_o age_a and_o honourable_a and_o great_a of_o the_o literal_a or_o near_a sense_n they_o have_v spoil_v all_o christendom_n and_o yet_o do_v where_o they_o may_v be_v allow_v of_o a_o great_a part_n of_o their_o treasure_n silver_n and_o gold_n and_o of_o all_o such_o thing_n as_o be_v most_o precious_a or_o of_o great_a estimation_n among_o they_o insomuch_o that_o they_o have_v not_o spare_v the_o church-living_n themselves_o which_o be_v all_o that_o the_o people_n have_v and_o be_v like_a to_o have_v to_o maintain_v instruction_n among_o they_o to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o their_o own_o salvation_n and_o that_o worse_a be_v these_o thing_n have_v they_o not_o only_o take_v away_o from_o the_o people_n of_o god_n but_o have_v employ_v they_o to_o the_o use_n of_o jdolatry_n and_o that_o so_o gross_a as_o seldom_o at_o any_o time_n can_v be_v overmatch_v among_o the_o gentile_n himself_o and_o all_o our_o treasure_n in_o christ_n himself_o if_o we_o go_v to_o a_o further_a sense_n they_o must_v we_o charge_v they_o inaestimable_a treasure_n of_o the_o church_n of_o god_n that_o have_v they_o either_o altogether_o take_v away_o from_o the_o church_n or_o in_o such_o sort_n corrupt_v and_o defile_v the_o same_o neither_o have_v they_o only_o so_o do_v heretofore_o but_o to_o this_o day_n also_o they_o labour_v it_o still_o and_o ever_o hold_v on_o the_o self_n same_o course_n wheresoever_o they_o may_v upon_o we_o and_o with_o all_o diligence_n to_o sort_n ourselves_o to_o such_o a_o course_n as_o best_a may_v serve_v to_o take_v unto_o we_o those_o other_o mercy_n that_o now_o of_o long_o he_o before_o yet_o do_v that_o other_o so_o far_o sink_v the_o most_o man_n substance_n at_o that_o present_a to_o get_v they_o grain_n to_o their_o needefulnesse_n that_o now_o they_o hardly_o have_v wherewithal_o to_o get_v it_o than_o they_o have_v then_o though_o it_o be_v cheap_a and_o so_o consequent_o that_o scarcity_n do_v as_o yet_o remain_v with_o very_a many_o but_o howsoeâ—er_a that_o it_o be_v ease_v yet_o be_v there_o among_o we_o such_o a_o kind_n of_o sickness_n at_o this_o present_a spread_v over_o all_o general_o as_o that_o therein_o both_o by_o the_o sharpness_n and_o strangeness_n of_o it_o we_o may_v plain_o perceive_v that_o it_o be_v the_o hand_n of_o god_n and_o call_v we_o no_o doubt_n unto_o repentance_n again_o as_o this_o our_o prophet_n by_o occasion_n of_o a_o famine_n then_o call_v on_o the_o people_n to_o be_v effectual_o touch_v therewith_o &_o with_o true_a repentance_n to_o turn_v to_o the_o lord_n so_o because_o that_o this_o admonition_n of_o i_o have_v likewise_o hold_v the_o self_n same_o course_n the_o less_o that_o we_o have_v yet_o acknowledge_v that_o hand_n of_o god_n and_o the_o less_o that_o we_o thereupon_o do_v turn_v unto_o he_o by_o repentance_n as_o yet_o the_o more_o just_o may_v it_o be_v demand_v of_o we_o and_o the_o more_o 〈◊〉_d occasion_n have_v this_o admonition_n still_o to_o proceed_v and_o to_o hold_v on_o his_o former_a course_n beside_o this_o whereas_o the_o prophet_n joel_n upon_o their_o repentance_n do_v assure_v they_o of_o great_a mercy_n both_o a_o further_a propagation_n of_o the_o the_o ordinary_a teacher_n of_o the_o people_n we_o may_v note_v that_o among_o we_o likewise_o such_o as_o be_v our_o ordinary_a teacher_n shall_v have_v a_o eye_n to_o these_o matter_n and_o when_o need_n be_v admonish_v the_o magistrate_n and_o people_n also_o to_o join_v together_o in_o such_o good_a exercise_n and_o whereas_o those_o ordinary_a teacher_n which_o no_o doubt_n be_v many_o be_v now_o so_o earnest_o call_v upon_o by_o this_o our_o prophet_n who_o be_v send_v in_o extraordinary_o and_o be_v but_o one_o it_o also_o may_v teach_v we_o that_o though_o our_o ordinary_a teacher_n be_v many_o yet_o may_v they_o forget_v themselves_o so_o much_o even_o all_o sometime_o that_o god_n may_v find_v it_o needful_a to_o send_v in_o some_o other_o extraordinarilie_o to_o put_v they_o in_o mind_n of_o such_o matter_n and_o to_o quicken_v they_o up_o thereunto_o and_o though_o théy_v be_v many_o and_o the_o other_o but_o one_o yet_o may_v they_o not_o therefore_o despise_v he_o for_o it_o fall_v out_o very_o often_o that_o though_o they_o live_v of_o the_o altar_n yet_o do_v they_o not_o so_o much_o ofttimes_o regard_v these_o thing_n that_o belong_v to_o the_o altar_n i_o mean_v the_o true_a service_n of_o god_n and_o the_o advancement_n of_o his_o glory_n and_o though_o they_o be_v the_o minister_n or_o servant_n of_o god_n yet_o be_v they_o not_o always_o so_o careful_a of_o the_o service_n of_o he_o who_o servant_n they_o be_v and_o as_o at_o this_o time_n one_o other_o be_v find_v that_o have_v no_o part_n of_o his_o live_n of_o the_o altar_n nor_o be_v any_o of_o the_o number_n of_o those_o that_o be_v the_o ordinary_a servant_n of_o god_n and_o yet_o be_v very_o careful_a for_o the_o altar_n and_o to_o promote_v his_o master_n business_n so_o in_o these_o day_n also_o it_o please_v god_n sometime_o to_o stir_v up_o some_o one_o or_o other_o among_o we_o that_o be_v nothing_o maintain_v by_o the_o altar_n nor_o any_o of_o our_o ordinary_a teacher_n neither_o nevertheless_o do_v that_o kind_n of_o business_n much_o more_o sometime_o then_o those_o that_o be_v and_o when_o it_o please_v god_n to_o send_v any_o such_o they_o be_v not_o light_o to_o be_v regard_v in_o that_o they_o be_v admonish_v first_o to_o stir_v up_o themselves_o to_o sorrow_n before_o that_o they_o shall_v call_v upon_o other_o that_o so_o they_o may_v the_o better_o do_v it_o therein_o likewise_o may_v we_o very_o well_o note_v what_o cause_n it_o be_v that_o they_o have_v to_o follow_v that_o in_o this_o case_n will_v do_v any_o good_a that_o be_v first_o of_o all_o to_o begin_v with_o themselves_o from_o who_o other_o be_v to_o take_v their_o light_n and_o direction_n for_o unless_o they_o sorrow_n themselves_o and_o be_v effectual_o touch_v both_o because_o that_o in_o this_o case_n they_o may_v easy_o be_v over_o run_v of_o their_o enemy_n and_o because_o it_o be_v reproachful_a to_o they_o be_v by_o profession_n the_o people_n of_o god_n to_o be_v notwithstanding_o in_o such_o distress_n when_o the_o heathen_a have_v all_o thing_n needful_a in_o plentiful_a manner_n their_o plead_n he_o will_v have_v to_o rely_v on_o the_o so_o oft_o for_o this_o matter_n and_o the_o prophet_n thereupon_o stook_v not_o to_o bestow_v all_o this_o labour_n upon_o they_o neither_o may_v we_o think_v that_o we_o be_v easy_o win_v to_o a_o godly_a sorrow_n especial_o when_o we_o be_v to_o testify_v the_o same_o in_o public_a manner_n neither_o may_v any_o to_o who_o it_o belong_v think_v much_o to_o call_v on_o those_o that_o shall_v do_v it_o again_z and_o again_o sorrow_n we_o also_o have_v cause_n to_o sorrow_n if_o that_o also_o be_v a_o just_a cause_n for_o they_o to_o blow_v the_o trumpet_n in_o zion_n &_o to_o shout_n in_o or_o in_o such_o measure_n as_o they_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n be_v on_o ú_n or_o yet_o be_v in_o much_o like_a manner_n as_o it_o be_v on_o they_o for_o this_o also_o be_v a_o uncomfortable_a darkness_n when_o as_o the_o poor_a sort_n be_v so_o very_a much_o straighten_v as_o than_o they_o be_v &_o yet_o be_v &_o when_o their_o eye_n wax_v dim_a for_o want_v of_o needful_a susteinance_n when_o as_o this_o cloud_n of_o darkness_n be_v spread_v so_o general_o over_o the_o poor_a sort_n &_o over_o many_o of_o the_o mountain_n themselves_o that_o it_o darken_v much_o the_o light_n of_o our_o wont_a comfort_n &_o joy_n &_o hang_v on_o we_o still_o so_o much_o as_o it_o do_v bode_v i_o know_v not_o what_o further_o distress_n to_o be_v towards_o we_o also_o or_o if_o we_o cast_v our_o eye_n to_o that_o army_n that_o be_v so_o fierce_a &_o sore_o upon_o they_o we_o have_v no_o great_a cause_n to_o conceive_v ourselves_o to_o be_v free_v from_o it_o when_o we_o may_v see_v that_o oùr_fw-la land_n also_o be_v in_o a_o manner_n as_o the_o garden_n of_o eden_n before_o have_v since_o be_v so_o far_o waste_v by_o this_o that_o in_o many_o part_n of_o it_o it_o have_v be_v in_o the_o yield_v of_o thing_n needful_a not_o far_o unlike_a to_o a_o wilderness_n also_o and_o that_o the_o same_o that_o hitherto_o be_v wont_v to_o help_v many_o other_o with_o all_o manner_n of_o grain_n be_v since_o fame_n to_o seek_v far_o óf_a that_o which_o we_o want_v to_o our_o needful_a relief_n and_o yet_o can_v not_o get_v it_o with_o all_o we_o can_v do_v but_o howsoever_o it_o have_v please_v god_n to_o take_v away_o the_o force_n of_o that_o army_n from_o we_o yet_o still_o do_v he_o threaten_v we_o with_o certain_a other_o &_o such_o as_o will_v glad_o pray_v upon_o we_o yet_o it_o be_v not_o evident_a that_o god_n do_v shake_v his_o rod_n against_o we_o but_o when_o as_o so_o many_o face_n be_v pale_a for_o want_v of_o needful_a relief_n &_o yet_o be_v partly_o by_o it_o and_o partly_o by_o the_o sickness_n that_o be_v among_o we_o and_o when_o as_o we_o may_v plain_o perceive_v that_o it_o be_v the_o hand_n of_o god_n that_o be_v on_o we_o it_o be_v a_o foul_a shame_n for_o we_o if_o our_o countenance_n be_v not_o something_o appall_v thereat_o &_o a_o very_a ill_a token_n beside_o if_o neither_o that_o distress_n of_o so_o many_o nor_o our_o own_o sin_n witness_v the_o hand_n of_o god_n to_o have_v be_v upon_o we_o and_o our_o scarcity_n be_v such_o as_o it_o be_v those_o that_o be_v distress_v thereby_o can_v have_v so_o little_a comfort_n by_o those_o other_o creature_n that_o to_o thém_v the_o sun_n &_o moon_n and_o star_n after_o a_o sort_n and_o in_o some_o measure_n be_v darken_v also_o in_o that_o sense_n that_o the_o prophet_n mean_v and_o partly_o by_o the_o negligence_n and_o carelessness_n of_o those_o that_o now_o shall_v either_o amend_v themselves_o sorrow_n that_o we_o also_o shall_v give_v ourselves_o to_o our_o most_o sorrow_n or_o at_o least_o make_v sure_a that_o other_o do_v it_o and_o now_o that_o we_o be_v in_o this_o case_n that_o we_o be_v what_o be_v there_o more_o seemly_a or_o convenient_a for_o we_o
