time_n proper_o so_o call_v and_o so_o much_o for_o the_o first_o argument_n for_o the_o second_o we_o have_v heretofore_o show_v that_o these_o pretend_a disorder_n &_o exorbitancy_n which_o be_v see_v in_o nature_n and_o in_o humane_a action_n and_o event_n do_v in_o no_o wise_a favour_n the_o cause_n of_o the_o atheist_n yea_o we_o have_v from_o this_o draw_v a_o argument_n against_o they_o because_o we_o must_v acknowledge_v in_o this_o not_o a_o blind_a fate_n and_o fortune_n but_o a_o wise_a and_o superior_a cause_n which_o do_v regulate_v these_o disorder_n and_o limit_n they_o otherwise_o all_o thing_n will_v return_v in_o a_o horrible_a and_o monstrous_a confusion_n and_o although_o we_o can_v always_o perceive_v the_o reason_n of_o this_o disorder_n so_o wonderful_o guide_v we_o may_v not_o therefore_o conclude_v that_o it_o be_v not_o guide_v a_o common_a soldier_n do_v not_o always_o understand_v the_o reason_n of_o his_o general_n order_n and_o command_n which_o yet_o if_o he_o shall_v be_v so_o bold_a as_o to_o censure_v or_o to_o accuse_v his_o general_n of_o insufficiency_n he_o shall_v render_v himself_o criminal_a and_o will_v betray_v his_o ignorance_n such_o be_v these_o people_n who_o do_v censure_v the_o work_n of_o god_n and_o do_v attribute_v they_o to_o a_o blind_a fate_n because_o they_o can_v see_v into_o the_o counsel_n of_o he_o who_o have_v so_o determine_v of_o these_o thing_n the_o prosperity_n of_o the_o wicked_a and_o the_o affliction_n of_o the_o righteous_a and_o good_a man_n be_v not_o a_o argument_n even_o to_o the_o heathen_a themselves_o that_o all_o thing_n be_v guide_v by_o a_o blind_a fate_n and_o hazard_n they_o themselves_o in_o this_o have_v acknowledge_v and_o demonstrate_v that_o there_o be_v a_o providence_n which_o do_v so_o dispose_v of_o these_o thing_n and_o god_n in_o his_o word_n do_v yet_o more_o clear_o evident_o and_o distinct_o than_o they_o give_v we_o the_o reason_n of_o his_o justice_n wisdom_n and_o bounty_n in_o this_o his_o conduct_n against_o which_o all_o the_o reason_n of_o the_o atheist_n break_v themselves_o as_o a_o wave_n against_o a_o rock_n and_o therefore_o there_o be_v no_o need_n to_o enlarge_v upon_o this_o subject_n since_o the_o best_a philosophy_n &_o the_o evidence_n of_o revelation_n teach_v we_o in_o this_o point_n that_o from_o this_o conduct_n we_o ought_v rather_o to_o conclude_v that_o there_o be_v another_o life_n after_o this_o then_o to_o deny_v the_o providence_n and_o deity_n so_o now_o we_o come_v to_o the_o three_o argument_n it_o be_v certain_a that_o the_o absurd_a and_o extravagant_a opinion_n of_o the_o heathen_a concern_v the_o multitude_n and_o diversity_n of_o their_o false_a god_n the_o service_n they_o do_v to_o they_o the_o fabulous_a story_n which_o they_o make_v of_o they_o and_o upon_o which_o all_o their_o religion_n be_v ground_v have_v give_v to_o epicurus_n and_o some_o other_o with_o he_o matter_n enough_o of_o laughter_n and_o to_o jeer_v their_o impertinency_n to_o deride_v their_o vain_a superstition_n and_o despise_v all_o their_o religion_n yea_o it_o have_v be_v a_o stumbling-block_n to_o they_o and_o have_v give_v they_o occasion_n to_o become_v atheist_n be_v destitute_a of_o the_o divine_a revelation_n which_o afford_v to_o we_o the_o right_a knowledge_n which_o we_o ought_v to_o have_v of_o the_o deity_n in_o which_o they_o be_v not_o therefore_o excusable_a see_v that_o they_o can_v by_o the_o use_n of_o right_a reason_n as_o well_o as_o other_o philosopher_n wise_a than_o themselves_o acknowledge_v and_o confess_v one_o only_a god_n and_o that_o the_o cult_a which_o be_v due_a to_o he_o aught_o to_o have_v be_v somewhat_o else_o than_o the_o heathenish_a superstition_n and_o we_o do_v not_o deny_v but_o that_o in_o other_o false_a religion_n yea_o even_o in_o the_o sect_n and_o heresy_n which_o be_v among_o christian_n there_o be_v very_o extravagant_a and_o absurd_a and_o wild_a opinion_n and_o practice_n in_o the_o matter_n of_o religion_n and_o it_o may_v be_v that_o these_o extravagancy_n wild_a practice_n and_o opinion_n in_o these_o last_o day_n of_o the_o christian_a church_n have_v give_v a_o occasion_n to_o atheism_n to_o diffuse_v itself_o and_o to_o multiply_v among_o christian_n and_o such_o absurdity_n do_v serve_v to_o foment_n and_o increase_v it_o as_o the_o author_n of_o the_o relation_n of_o the_o religion_n of_o the_o western_a world_n have_v very_o well_o and_o judicious_o remark_v speak_v of_o the_o common_a and_o ordinary_a profaneness_n of_o the_o italian_n but_o to_o this_o objection_n i_o answer_v two_o thing_n first_o that_o true_a christianity_n have_v no_o such_o extravagancy_n as_o can_v startle_v those_o who_o make_v a_o right_a use_n of_o their_o reason_n second_o that_o atheism_n be_v incomparable_o more_o irrational_a and_o more_o to_o be_v detest_v then_o any_o of_o those_o extravagancy_n which_o they_o with_o reason_n do_v reject_v there_o be_v nothing_o in_o the_o true_a and_o pure_a christian_a religion_n which_o the_o word_n of_o god_n only_o have_v teach_v we_o which_o can_v or_o aught_o to_o offend_v any_o person_n of_o good_a sense_n and_o judgement_n only_o the_o mystery_n of_o the_o trinity_n and_o that_o of_o the_o incarnation_n be_v indeed_o above_o our_o apprehension_n and_o carnal_a sense_n which_o can_v comprehend_v the_o quomodo_n of_o it_o but_o yet_o as_o both_o these_o be_v simple_o propose_v and_o lay_v open_a to_o we_o and_o as_o we_o may_v gather_v they_o from_o the_o revelation_n which_o god_n have_v make_v to_o we_o of_o they_o in_o his_o word_n they_o be_v such_o as_o that_o they_o be_v
