temporal_a affliction_n be_v but_o so_o many_o soul_n advantage_n and_o all_o our_o earthly_a lâ—sâ—es_n will_v be_v make_v up_o to_o we_o in_o heavenly_a treasure_n and_o all_o our_o cross_n will_v but_o make_v our_o crown_n of_o glory_n the_o great_a therefore_o under_o this_o consideration_n let_v we_o go_v forward_o with_o boldness_n in_o the_o way_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o never_o fear_v foot_n and_o make_v as_o the_o offscouring_a of_o the_o world_n shall_v one_o day_n be_v honour_v and_o dignify_v with_o a_o crown_n of_o glory_n and_o exalt_v with_o jesus_n christ_n in_o his_o together_o with_o he_o in_o glory_n oh_o this_o may_v mighty_o encourage_v we_o to_o presevere_v with_o boldness_n in_o the_o work_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o exceed_o fortify_v we_o against_o the_o to_o turn_v his_o hand_n of_o trial_n upon_o they_o oh_o how_o have_v many_o professor_n at_o this_o day_n make_v shipwreck_n of_o faith_n and_o a_o good_a conscience_n and_o high_o oppose_v the_o purity_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o base_o turn_v their_o back_n of_o the_o truth_n as_o it_o be_v in_o jesus_n and_o all_o out_o of_o a_o slavish_a fear_n of_o the_o frown_n and_o displeasure_n of_o man_n oh_o how_o have_v many_o professor_n at_o this_o day_n who_o have_v former_o bear_v a_o glorious_a testimony_n for_o god_n and_o against_o antichrist_n yet_o now_o have_v filthy_o defile_v their_o hand_n with_o iniquity_n and_o corrupt_v their_o heart_n with_o covetousness_n and_o lift_v up_o their_o soul_n to_o vanity_n and_o swear_v deceitful_o to_o babylon_n and_o all_o to_o avoid_v god_n support_v presence_n be_v or_o aught_o to_o be_v one_o great_a reason_n or_o encouragement_n to_o bear_v up_o our_o soul_n in_o the_o worst_a of_o trouble_n therefore_o when_o trouble_n do_v attend_v we_o and_o when_o our_o enemy_n be_v most_o implacable_a against_o we_o and_o talk_v of_o stoning_n of_o we_o and_o banish_v of_o we_o and_o put_v of_o we_o to_o death_n and_o the_o like_a let_v we_o with_o david_n encourage_v ourselves_o in_o the_o lord_n our_o god_n 1_o sam._n 30.6_o and_o let_v we_o consider_v the_o lord_n be_v with_o we_o and_o he_o be_v a_o present_a help_n in_o time_n of_o trouble_n and_o if_o god_n be_v for_o we_o who_o can_v be_v against_o we_o therefore_o say_v god_n isa_n 41.10_o fear_v thou_o not_o for_o i_o be_o with_o thou_o be_v not_o dismay_v for_o i_o be_o thy_o god_n i_o will_v strengthen_v thou_o yea_o i_o will_v help_v thou_o yea_o i_o will_v uphold_v thou_o with_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o my_o righteousness_n as_o much_o as_o if_o god_n so_o many_o enemy_n and_o adversary_n to_o oppose_v thou_o yet_o be_v not_o dismay_v for_o i_o be_o thy_o god_n and_o i_o will_v strengthen_v thou_o and_o though_o they_o set_v themselves_o against_o thou_o to_o wrong_v and_o oppress_v thou_o yet_o be_v of_o good_a cheer_n i_o will_v help_v thou_o and_o take_v thy_o part_n against_o they_o and_o though_o they_o think_v to_o conquer_v thy_o spirit_n and_o subdue_v the_o strength_n of_o thy_o inward-man_n by_o imprison_v and_o punish_v of_o thou_o yet_o be_v not_o trouble_v at_o that_o do_v but_o put_v thy_o trust_n in_o i_o and_o depend_v upon_o i_o and_o i_o will_v uphold_v thou_o with_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o my_o righteousness_n therefore_o see_v the_o lord_n be_v so_o much_o engage_v for_o the_o good_a of_o his_o people_n let_v we_o not_o fear_v what_o man_n can_v do_v unto_o we_o reas_n 2._o why_o we_o shall_v not_o fear_v man_n because_o the_o lord_n himself_o will_v engage_v and_o fight_v against_o the_o enemy_n of_o his_o people_n and_o bring_v they_o to_o a_o reckon_n for_o all_o their_o malice_n and_o cruelty_n towards_o they_o though_o they_o may_v tyrannize_v and_o insult_v over_o god_n heritage_n for_o a_o time_n and_o magnify_v themselves_o against_o the_o lord_n and_o his_o jewel_n yet_o the_o time_n will_v come_v when_o the_o lord_n himself_o 〈◊〉_d appear_v against_o they_o in_o wrath_n and_o judgement_n and_o dash_v they_o in_o â—â—â—ces_n like_o a_o potter_n vessel_n for_o their_o rage_n and_o cruelty_n against_o his_o people_n therefore_o this_o may_v be_v another_o reason_n to_o arm_v we_o against_o the_o fear_n of_o man_n because_o the_o lord_n have_v engage_v to_o deal_v with_o our_o adversary_n in_o judgement_n and_o recompense_n fury_n upon_o our_o enemy_n for_o all_o their_o tyranny_n towards_o we_o and_o will_v assure_o work_v deliverance_n and_o salvation_n for_o his_o people_n from_o all_o their_o trouble_n see_v that_o notable_a text_n isa_n 49.25_o 26._o but_o thus_o say_v the_o lord_n even_o the_o captive_n of_o the_o mighty_a shall_v be_v take_v away_o and_o the_o prey_n of_o the_o terrible_a shall_v be_v deliver_v for_o i_o will_v contend_v with_o they_o that_o contend_v with_o thou_o and_o i_o will_v save_v thy_o child_n and_o i_o will_v feed_v they_o that_o oppress_v thou_o with_o their_o own_o flesh_n and_o they_o shall_v call_v they_o to_o a_o reckon_a for_o these_o thing_n and_o how_o will_v they_o be_v able_a to_o stand_v before_o the_o lord_n when_o he_o shall_v bring_v they_o to_o a_o trial_n for_o drag_v his_o people_n out_o of_o their_o house_n
