unto_o this_o work_n first_o there_o must_v be_v a_o see_v which_o be_v the_o instrument_n second_o there_o must_v be_v one_o to_o pull_v sawe_n and_o move_v the_o see_v to_o apply_v it_o to_o the_o tree_n which_o be_v the_o efficient_a cause_n three_o there_o must_v be_v a_o certain_a oily_a and_o liquid_a matter_n to_o make_v the_o see_v run_v which_o be_v causa_fw-la adiuvan_n the_o help_v cause_n which_o smooth_v the_o saw_n and_o make_v it_o run_v with_o case_n so_o it_o be_v in_o this_o great_a work_n of_o repentance_n the_o saw_n or_o instrument_n to_o work_v be_v the_o preach_n of_o the_o gospel_n which_o do_v saw_n and_o work_n upon_o the_o conscience_n as_o the_o instrument_n of_o god_n and_o god_n himself_o be_v the_o effectual_a puller_n or_o workman_n to_o work_v repentance_n in_o us._n so_o that_o now_o the_o help_v cause_n be_v especial_o three_o 1._o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n 2._o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n 3._o our_o own_o consideration_n help_v
make_v and_o procure_v a_o pardon_n for_o his_o sin_n so_o that_o after_o repentance_n a_o man_n be_v always_o the_o better_a and_o ready_a to_o repent_v and_o comfort_v himself_o it_o be_v the_o zealous_a and_o holy_a care_n of_o that_o good_a man_n job_n chap._n 1._o 5._o to_o say_v i_o will_v go_v see_v my_o son_n for_o it_o job._n may_v be_v that_o my_o son_n have_v sin_v and_o curse_a christ_n not_o only_o bury_v they_o ourselves_o and_o make_v a_o grave_n for_o they_o but_o also_o we_o must_v roll_v a_o great_a stone_n upon_o they_o and_o seal_v they_o up_o by_o repentance_n every_o day_n cast_v more_o mould_n and_o earth_n upon_o they_o that_o they_o never_o may_v rise_v against_o we_o for_o often_o repent_v of_o sin_n abate_v the_o strength_n of_o the_o corruption_n of_o sin_n object_n 2_o the_o second_o objection_n be_v that_o if_o a_o man_n be_v bind_v continual_o to_o renew_v his_o repentance_n and_o repentance_n be_v enjoin_v with_o grief_n and_o sorrow_n than_o it_o must_v needs_o follow_v that_o a_o christian_a man_n must_v never_o be_v merry_a because_o still_o the_o sense_n of_o his_o own_o sin_n will_v take_v he_o down_o and_o make_v he_o sad_a and_o deject_a answ._n i_o answer_v that_o as_o a_o man_n be_v bind_v to_o renew_v his_o repentance_n so_o be_v he_o bind_v to_o renew_v his_o faith_n too_o yea_o the_o more_o he_o renew_v his_o which_o will_v bring_v joy_n there_o be_v a_o kind_n of_o mourning_n which_o end_v in_o rejoice_v it_o be_v observe_v in_o nature_n that_o there_o be_v some_o pain_n which_o bring_v a_o man_n ease_n pain_n and_o a_o man_n can_v never_o have_v ease_n but_o by_o the_o mean_n of_o this_o pain_n as_o the_o pain_n of_o physic_n which_o do_v not_o work_v at_o first_o without_o some_o trouble_n yet_o bring_v health_n at_o last_o the_o pain_n also_o that_o a_o man_n feel_v in_o dress_v of_o a_o sore_n pain_n for_o there_o be_v none_o but_o i_o be_o sure_a will_v confess_v it_o put_v a_o man_n to_o pain_n bring_v a_o man_n at_o last_o to_o more_o ease_n and_o refresh_n so_o that_o we_o may_v well_o say_v the_o pain_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o the_o cure_n even_o so_o the_o renew_n of_o repentance_n cause_v a_o pain_n no_o man_n can_v deny_v that_o because_o it_o be_v accompany_v with_o grief_n and_o sadness_n sorrow_n and_o tear_n but_o it_o be_v dolour_n &_o tristitia_fw-la sanitatis_fw-la a_o heal_a and_o a_o healthful_a pain_n such_o a_o pain_n as_o will_v leave_v many_o joy_n and_o much_o pèace_n behind_o it_o therefore_o let_v man_n never_o be_v afraid_a to_o renew_v confess_v to_o man_n as_o well_o as_o some_o other_o that_o it_o be_v enough_o if_o we_o confess_v unto_o god_n only_o now_o for_o the_o clear_n of_o this_o point_n we_o must_v remember_v that_o in_o
