godly_a may_v be_v more_o exercise_v and_o try_v &_o unto_o the_o wicked_a there_o may_v be_v leave_v a_o time_n of_o repentance_n and_o when_o they_o abuse_v the_o long-suffering_a of_o god_n that_o &_o often_o elsewhere_o comfort_v the_o godly_a against_o this_o kind_n of_o tentation_n foretell_v unto_o they_o defence_n and_o delivery_n but_o destruction_n objection_n 2_o unto_o their_o enemy_n all_o not_o all_o neither_o be_v thereby_o the_o force_n of_o this_o proof_n weaken_v because_o that_o all_o the_o persecutor_n of_o the_o church_n be_v not_o in_o tragical_a manner_n take_v out_o thing_n which_o he_o like_v as_o agree_v with_o his_o nature_n and_o rightness_n but_o to_o permit_v those_o thing_n which_o yet_o he_o dislike_v abhor_v &_o condemn_v but_o nevertheless_o for_o either_o as_o he_o only_o dislike_v it_o but_o do_v not_o forbid_v or_o hinder_v it_o both_o which_o kind_n of_o will_n be_v contain_v in_o the_o mayor_n but_o only_o one_o of_o they_o in_o the_o minor_a which_o be_v both_o to_o dislike_v &_o hinder_v a_o thing_n from_o be_v do_v for_o if_o god_n in_o that_o sense_n will_v not_o sin_v to_o be_v commit_v than_o those_o absurdity_n shall_v follow_v which_o they_o speak_v of_o but_o when_o we_o say_v that_o god_n will_v not_o sin_n we_o understand_v that_o they_o do_v great_o displease_v he_o and_o yet_o that_o god_n hinder_v they_o not_o from_o be_v commit_v which_o also_o be_v not_o to_o will_v but_o to_o not_o will_n sin_n for_o god_n can_v will_v nothing_o but_o that_o which_o be_v agreeable_a to_o his_o own_o nature_n and_o goodness_n neither_o do_v the_o holy_a scripture_n show_v any_o where_o that_o god_n will_v those_o thing_n which_o be_v contrary_a to_o his_o nature_n in_o such_o sort_n as_o they_o be_v contrary_a this_o be_v also_o object_v cause_n god_n the_o cause_n of_o man_n will_n but_o not_o of_o the_o corruption_n of_o his_o will_n be_v not_o a_o cause_n of_o sin_n whereof_o man_n will_n corrupt_v be_v a_o cause_n he_o that_o be_v the_o cause_n or_o the_o efficient_a of_o a_o cause_n be_v also_o the_o author_n of_o the_o effect_n of_o that_o cause_n if_o not_o the_o next_o yet_o a_o far_o off_o bring_v forth_o the_o effect_n which_o itself_o intend_v or_o unto_o the_o which_o it_o be_v appoint_v as_o when_o god_n frame_v and_o bend_v the_o will_n of_o man_n which_o himself_o make_v to_o good_a work_n or_o to_o such_o action_n as_o himself_o will_v have_v do_v when_o the_o father_n or_o master_n bring_v up_o his_o son_n or_o his_o scholar_n to_o good_a thing_n and_o the_o learning_n which_o he_o instil_v into_o his_o mind_n move_v he_o to_o do_v well_o when_o the_o sun_n and_o rain_n make_v the_o earth_n fertile_a and_o the_o earth_n bring_v forth_o corn._n but_o when_o the_o cause_n which_o be_v a_o far_o off_o a_o cause_n
either_o do_v not_o move_v the_o next_o cause_n of_o the_o effect_n or_o do_v not_o intend_v and_o mind_n the_o effect_n neither_o be_v appoint_v thereunto_o it_o can_v be_v say_v to_o be_v a_o cause_n of_o that_o effect_n but_o by_o a_o accident_n as_o when_o of_o a_o good_a father_n be_v bear_v a_o evil_a and_o evil-living_a son_n or_o of_o a_o good_a father_n a_o good_a and_o wel-living_a son_n when_o a_o godly_a magistrate_n by_o his_o commandment_n move_v the_o will_n of_o a_o wicked_a executioner_n to_o execute_v a_o guilty_a person_n and_o he_o be_v impel_v either_o by_o desire_n
