who_o feed_v and_o tend_v they_o and_o shall_v we_o more_o brutish_a than_o they_o snarl_v and_o repine_v when_o the_o lord_n who_o not_o only_o give_v we_o food_n but_o also_o make_v it_o the_o hand_n of_o saint_n as_o well_o as_o from_o ungodly_a person_n we_o must_v never_o look_v to_o live_v a_o merry_a day_n so_o say_v i_o unless_o we_o can_v bear_v the_o fall_n off_o the_o falsehood_n and_o treachery_n of_o a_o belove_a friend_n we_o shall_v never_o come_v to_o possess_v pure_a patience_n indeed_o and_o thus_o many_o time_n when_o aught_o befall_v we_o through_o our_o eye_v he_o which_o be_v invisible_a who_o have_v power_n in_o his_o own_o hand_n to_o restrain_v their_o fury_n bridle_v their_o malice_n work_v their_o falsehood_n and_o treachery_n and_o make_v faint_a isa_n 40.31_o ah_o we_o have_v not_o patient_o wait_v so_o many_o year_n in_o the_o mean_n of_o grace_n for_o comfort_n as_o god_n have_v wait_v for_o our_o conversion_n let_v we_o resolve_v to_o do_v as_o much_o as_o we_o can_v and_o suffer_v as_o much_o in_o obedience_n to_o god_n as_o we_o can_v suffer_v for_o necessity_n or_o passion_n fear_n or_o desire_v and_o sure_o if_o we_o can_v for_o one_o thing_n we_o can_v for_o another_o and_o there_o be_v nothing_o want_v but_o the_o mind_n and_o therefore_o let_v we_o not_o say_v we_o can_v endure_v this_o for_o god_n will_v never_o have_v send_v it_o if_o he_o have_v not_o know_v we_o strong_a enough_o to_o abide_v it_o only_o he_o that_o know_v we_o well_o already_o will_v also_o take_v this_o occasion_n to_o make_v we_o know_v check_v and_o chide_v our_o soul_n for_o our_o impatiency_n say_v as_o david_n psal_n 62._o yet_o my_o soul_n be_v silent_a to_o jehovah_n neither_o must_v we_o be_v patient_a for_o a_o fit_a or_o take_v patient_o one_o cross_n and_o fume_n and_o 〈◊〉_d for_o another_o but_o we_o must_v with_o a_o christian_a magnanimity_n be_v able_a to_o bear_v all_o thus_o we_o see_v do_v job_n after_o one_o will_n be_v so_o to_o take_v up_o the_o cross_n when_o flesh_n may_v find_v the_o way_n to_o shift_v it_o christ_n call_v thereunto_o this_o be_v action_n and_o truth_n of_o duty_n not_o dull_a passion_n or_o patience_n perforce_o and_o there_o be_v a_o wide_a difference_n between_o take_v up_o our_o cross_n and_o have_v it_o lay_v on_o we_o many_o a_o one_o bear_v a_o force_a burden_n sorrow_n in_o our_o suffering_n and_o moderate_o mourn_v in_o our_o cross_n and_o affliction_n and_o how_o then_o can_v we_o at_o the_o same_o time_n rejoice_v see_v joy_n and_o mourning_n be_v opposite_a one_o to_o another_o for_o answer_v hereunto_o we_o must_v know_v that_o christian_a sorrow_n &_o rejoice_v may_v well_o stand_v together_o see_v the_o one_o make_v way_n for_o the_o continue_v in_o a_o christian_a heart_n for_o so_o it_o will_v grow_v immoderate_a but_o after_o this_o our_o unfeigned_a repentance_n for_o sin_n and_o our_o assurance_n of_o pardon_n with_o god_n
