application_n of_o he_o to_o thyself_o by_o faith_n that_o he_o be_v thy_o saviour_n and_o thy_o redeemer_n for_o he_o have_v then_o breathe_v into_o thou_o the_o spirit_n of_o grace_n which_o have_v wrought_v this_o spiritual_a life_n in_o thou_o though_o at_o the_o first_o thou_o can_v feel_v no_o power_n of_o it_o without_o this_o application_n of_o christ_n to_o thyself_o thou_o can_v draw_v no_o comfort_n from_o he_o and_o he_o will_v profit_v thou_o nothing_o it_o do_v much_o comfort_n job_n in_o his_o great_a misery_n when_o he_o do_v thus_o apply_v christ_n to_o himself_o 27._o himself_o job_n 19_o 25_o 27._o i_o know_v say_v he_o that_o my_o redeemer_n live_v who_o i_o shall_v see_v for_o myself_o if_o thou_o can_v bring_v thy_o heart_n to_o close_v thus_o with_o christ_n and_o he_o in_o thou_o thou_o shall_v partake_v with_o he_o in_o his_o fullness_n of_o all_o spiritual_a grace_n 19_o grace_n col._n 1._o 19_o for_o it_o please_v the_o father_n that_o in_o he_o shall_v all_o fullness_n dwell_v 16_o dwell_v john_n 1._o 16_o and_o of_o his_o fullness_n have_v all_o we_o receive_v and_o grace_n for_o grace_n now_o consider_v further_o that_o christ_n be_v the_o meritorious_a cause_n of_o this_o spiritual_a life_n 14_o life_n tit._n 2._o 14_o for_o he_o give_v himself_o free_o and_o voluntary_o to_o be_v a_o oblation_n and_o a_o sacrifice_n for_o we_o to_o redeem_v we_o from_o all_o iniquity_n and_o from_o whatsoever_o we_o be_v liable_a unto_o by_o reason_n of_o sin_n to_o wit_n from_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n from_o the_o dominion_n of_o sin_n from_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n from_o the_o bondage_n of_o satan_n from_o the_o terror_n of_o death_n and_o from_o eternal_a condemnation_n also_o by_o the_o power_n of_o his_o resurrection_n he_o have_v subdue_v and_o overcome_v death_n hell_n and_o the_o grave_n that_o we_o may_v be_v raise_v out_o of_o the_o grave_n of_o sin_n to_o live_v a_o spiritual_a life_n to_o god_n in_o christ_n christ_n have_v wrought_v our_o redemption_n by_o his_o active_a and_o passive_a obedience_n to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n whereby_o we_o be_v justify_v in_o his_o sight_n for_o he_o have_v take_v our_o life_n out_o of_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n justice_n where_o we_o have_v no_o hope_n to_o enjoy_v it_o and_o have_v put_v it_o into_o the_o hand_n of_o his_o mercy_n where_o we_o be_v sure_a through_o christ_n to_o have_v the_o comfort_n of_o it_o here_o and_o the_o happiness_n of_o it_o hereafter_o though_o we_o must_v pass_v by_o the_o gate_n of_o hell_n before_o we_o can_v enjoy_v the_o sweet_a consolation_n of_o this_o spiritual_a life_n and_o though_o we_o must_v bring_v ourselves_o so_o low_o in_o our_o humiliation_n and_o in_o mortify_v of_o our_o sin_n and_o corruption_n as_o if_o we_o be_v ready_a to_o be_v thrust_v down_o into_o hell_n yet_o god_n will_v then_o give_v we_o a_o spiritual_a life_n in_o christ_n to_o support_v we_o he_o will_v then_o raise_v we_o up_o to_o newness_n of_o life_n by_o the_o sanctify_a grace_n of_o his_o spirit_n that_o our_o spiritual_a life_n may_v appear_v and_o that_o we_o may_v be_v make_v fit_a to_o enjoy_v christ_n for_o ever_o in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n this_o be_v the_o first_o main_a end_n of_o the_o passion_n of_o christ_n that_o we_o may_v be_v redeem_v by_o the_o merit_n of_o his_o blood_n second_o christ_n be_v the_o efficient_a cause_n of_o our_o spiritual_a life_n for_o as_o we_o have_v our_o justification_n by_o the_o merit_n of_o his_o blood_n so_o we_o have_v our_o sanctification_n by_o the_o same_o blood_n and_o these_o two_o can_v be_v separate_v but_o must_v go_v together_o for_o we_o have_v no_o sure_a evidence_n that_o we_o be_v justify_v in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n but_o by_o the_o sanctification_n of_o our_o life_n the_o act_n of_o our_o justification_n be_v wrought_v at_o once_o as_o soon_o as_o we_o be_v ingraft_v into_o christ_n by_o faith_n but_o our_o sanctification_n must_v be_v a_o continue_a act_n so_o long_o as_o we_o live_v in_o the_o flesh_n for_o the_o best_a of_o god_n servant_n have_v so_o many_o spot_n and_o stain_n of_o sin_n in_o they_o that_o they_o have_v daily_o need_v to_o pray_v to_o be_v every_o day_n purify_v and_o cleanse_v with_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n and_o to_o be_v daily_o renew_v with_o the_o grace_n of_o his_o spirit_n this_o
