etc._n tenthes_o be_v get_v from_o we_o in_o old_a time_n by_o most_o false_a and_o forge_a cavillation_n we_o only_o crave_v our_o own_o we_o will_v ask_v no_o more_o nor_o willing_o take_v less_o for_o our_o whole_a duty_n be_v still_o require_v then_o why_o shall_v not_o our_o whole_a due_n be_v pay_v and_o yet_o that_o the_o world_n may_v learn_v of_o we_o contentedness_n as_o well_o by_o our_o practice_n as_o our_o doctrine_n we_o will_v for_o the_o present_n take_v in_o good_a part_n &_o rest_v content_v with_o a_o part_n of_o our_o own_o and_o some_o competent_a portion_n out_o of_o the_o first_o cause_n of_o his_o fear_n his_o own_o and_o his_o people_n pollution_n it_o follow_v and_o my_o eye_n have_v see_v the_o king_n and_o lord_n lord_n of_o host_n the_o second_o cause_n of_o the_o prophet_n fear_n and_o astonishment_n be_v he_o san_z the_o lord_n who_o then_o appear_v in_o glory_n unto_o he_o not_o that_o he_o see_v the_o substance_n of_o god_n for_o that_o be_v invisible_a vision_n and_o incomprehensible_a but_o his_o glory_n nor_o the_o fullness_n of_o his_o glory_n for_o that_o can_v be_v endure_v but_o a_o glimpse_n of_o it_o nor_o that_o with_o the_o conceive_v the_o meaning_n than_o be_v in_o a_o vision_n he_o see_v such_o glory_n and_o majesty_n as_o he_o know_v there_o be_v a_o extraordinary_a presence_n of_o the_o lord_n of_o host_n who_o be_v the_o king_n of_o glory_n at_o who_o sight_n and_o think_v of_o his_o presence_n instant_o his_o conscience_n be_v smite_v with_o fear_n for_o his_o own_o infirmity_n and_o the_o pollution_n of_o his_o people_n wherein_o let_v we_o first_o of_o all_o observe_v the_o connexion_n and_o dependence_n of_o these_o two_o cause_n one_o upon_o another_o for_o as_o they_o be_v both_o joint_o the_o cause_n of_o his_o fear_n so_o one_o of_o they_o be_v in_o a_o sort_n the_o cause_n of_o another_o he_o fear_v because_o of_o his_o own_o and_o his_o people_n sin_n and_o because_o he_o see_v the_o lord_n but_o why_o be_v he_o afraid_a to_o see_v the_o lord_n the_o cause_n thereof_o be_v his_o own_o and_o their_o sin_n without_o which_o he_o will_v never_o have_v be_v afraid_a but_o rather_o have_v glory_v to_o see_v the_o lord_n but_o his_o conscience_n check_v he_o for_o some_o defect_n of_o duty_n in_o his_o call_n therefore_o he_o tremble_v at_o the_o least_o glimpse_n of_o god_n of_o themselves_o find_v nothing_o in_o themselves_o but_o cause_n of_o fear_n and_o astonishment_n then_o power_v he_o the_o oil_n of_o grace_n and_o of_o sweet_a comfort_n into_o their_o heart_n &_o refresh_v their_o weary_a soul_n with_o the_o dew_n of_o his_o mercy_n this_o point_n need_v no_o further_a proof_n for_o look_v into_o the_o scripture_n &_o we_o shall_v find_v god_n never_o call_v any_o man_n to_o the_o state_n of_o grace_n or_o to_o any_o notable_a work_n or_o function_n in_o his_o church_n but_o he_o first_o humble_v they_o and_o then_o bring_v they_o out_o of_o all_o conceit_n with_o themselves_o and_o then_o wrought_v in_o they_o and_o by_o they_o his_o wonderful_a work_n the_o use_n of_o this_o doctrine_n be_v first_o of_o all_o to_o teach_v all_o man_n to_o esteem_v aright_o of_o the_o as_o affliction_n that_o god_n lay_v upon_o they_o in_o this_o world_n common_o man_n take_v they_o impatient_o &_o our_o nature_n grudgrudge_v against_o they_o but_o let_v a_o christian_a man_n consider_v with_o himself_o how_o god_n have_v always_o deal_v with_o his_o child_n and_o he_o have_v cause_n not_o to_o think_v so_o for_o do_v god_n lay_v some_o great_a any_o man_n but_o such_o as_o do_v in_o humility_n &_o lowliness_a confess_v to_o god_n &_o acknowledge_v in_o themselves_o the_o want_n of_o they_o so_o the_o bless_a virgin_n sing_v god_n fill_v the_o 9_o hungry_a with_o good_a thing_n but_o the_o rich_a he_o send_v empty_a away_o and_o so_o the_o psalmist_n god_n satisfy_v the_o hungry_a soul_n and_o fill_v the_o empty_a soul_n with_o this_o question_n but_o some_o will_v object_v against_o this_o that_o there_o be_v in_o many_o christian_a down_o church_n so_o many_o minister_n as_o they_o can_v all_o be_v maintain_v but_o some_o go_v up_o and_o down_o undisposed_a and_o unprovided_a for_o i_o answer_v this_o be_v too_o true_a in_o all_o age_n there_o be_v wander_v church_n levits_n in_o the_o old_a testament_n which_o go_v up_o and_o down_o and_o offer_v their_o service_n and_o serve_v for_o 10._o shekel_n of_o silver_n and_o a_o suit_n of_o apparel_n and_o meat_n and_o drink_v but_o this_o calamity_n be_v upon_o the_o 6._o church_n of_o the_o jew_n never_o but_o then_o when_o there_o be_v no_o king_n in_o israel_n and_o every_o one_o do_v that_o which_o be_v good_a in_o his_o own_o eye_n if_o therefore_o there_o be_v any_o in_o our_o church_n and_o in_o christian_n nation_n which_o go_v up_o and_o down_o and_o offer_v their_o service_n at_o such_o rate_n it_o be_v much_o more_o miserable_a 6._o see_v now_o there_o be_v king_n in_o israel_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v no_o reason_n that_o every_o man_n rob_v the_o church_n as_o it_o shall_v please_v his_o covetous_a mind_n but_o cease_v to_o inquire_v whether_o this_o be_v so_o or_o no_o and_o if_o it_o be_v so_o leave_v the_o reformation_n thereof_o to_o those_o church_n and_o state_n any_o who_o it_o may_v concern_v i_o answer_v for_o the_o matter_n in_o hand_n that_o this_o may_v be_v so_o and_o yet_o the_o lord_n may_v complain_v as_o here_o he_o do_v who_o shall_v i_o send_v for_o the_o lord_n mean_v not_o such_o as_o bear_v the_o name_n of_o levit_n or_o priest_n in_o the_o old_a or_o of_o minister_n in_o the_o new_a testament_n for_o there_o be_v always_o enough_o of_o they_o who_o some_o for_o preferment_n sake_n some_o for_o their_o ease_n and_o some_o for_o a_o refuge_n how_o to_o live_v be_v willing_a to_o enter_v that_o function_n and_o according_o in_o that_o call_n see_v not_o the_o lord_n but_o themselves_o and_o their_o own_o end_n but_o here_o the_o lord_n enquire_v for_o minister_n such_o man_n as_o first_o pure_o do_v seek_v and_o undertake_v that_o function_n therein_o to_o honour_n god_n and_o to_o gather_v his_o church_n and_o then_o in_o all_o their_o labour_n and_o ministerial_a duty_n true_o and_o faithful_o endeavour_n to_o the_o same_o end_n preach_v god_n word_n and_o as_o god_n word_n diligent_o reprove_v exhort_v and_o admonish_v and_o shine_v before_o their_o people_n in_o good_a work_n for_o such_o man_n it_o be_v no_o marvel_n though_o the_o lord_n light_v a_o candle_n at_o no_o one_o day_n and_o make_v open_a proclamation_n 16._o to_o seek_v for_o they_o say_v who_o shall_v i_o send_v for_o such_o a_o man_n be_v as_o job_n say_v one_o of_o a_o thousand_o for_o some_o church_n the_o lord_n day_n have_v not_o as_o great_a cause_n to_o cry_v out_o in_o the_o want_n of_o able_a faithful_a and_o godly_a minister_n who_o shall_v i_o send_v and_o who_o shall_v go_v for_o and_o be_v a_o king_n evil_a not_o to_o be_v heal_v but_o by_o the_o power_n of_o a_o king_n for_o as_o long_o as_o there_o be_v so_o few_o and_o mean_a preferment_n for_o painful_a minister_n there_o will_v never_o want_v abundance_n of_o such_o minister_n as_o do_v want_v either_o conscience_n or_o ability_n to_o discharge_v their_o duty_n in_o the_o mean_a time_n till_o god_n put_v into_o ministry_n the_o heart_n of_o parliament_n and_o prince_n to_o lock_v to_o this_o great_a and_o needful_a work_n let_v we_o minister_n learn_v our_o duty_n and_o first_o we_o who_o be_v in_o the_o university_n be_v here_o admonish_v to_o look_v to_o ourselves_o by_o god_n blessing_n we_o be_v many_o and_o daily_o grow_v more_o and_o more_o let_v we_o therefore_o so_o furnish_v ourselves_o as_o that_o when_o god_n or_o his_o church_n shall_v say_v who_o shall_v go_v for_o we_o and_o who_o shall_v i_o send_v then_o he_o may_v find_v many_o among_o we_o who_o he_o may_v send_v to_o that_o minister_n no_o need_n of_o they_o for_o have_v the_o lord_n please_v or_o content_v himself_o with_o such_o kind_n of_o man_n as_o seek_v to_o be_v minister_n for_o themselves_o and_o not_o for_o his_o sake_n or_o be_v minister_n do_v feed_v themselves_o and_o not_o their_o flock_n or_o preach_v themselves_o and_o not_o christ_n then_o have_v he_o not_o need_v to_o have_v make_v this_o the_o world_n until_o drone_n of_o late_o be_v by_o luther_n and_o other_o of_o our_o church_n make_v ashamed_a thereof_o they_o have_v labour_v especial_o the_o jesuit_n to_o become_v learn_v how_o foul_a a_o thing_n be_v it_o that_o among_o so_o many_o the_o lord_n shall_v have_v cause_n to_o complain_v who_o shall_v we_o send_v the_o jesuit_n indeed_o divine_n many_o of_o they_o be_v learn_v to_o be_v instrument_n of_o policy_n to_o evil_a king_n than_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n unto_o god_n but_o take_v away_o they_o and_o some_o few_o select_a monk_n and_o those_o but_o few_o out_o of_o many_o thousand_o &_o then_o even_o for_o learning_n also_o god_n may_v cry_v and_o call_v &_o proclaim_v in_o their_o monastery_n who_o shall_v i_o send_v and_o if_o it_o be_v a_o shame_n and_o misery_n to_o a_o church_n to_o want_v such_o as_o god_n may_v send_v or_o to_o have_v but_o a_o few_o than_o the_o romish_a church_n be_v shameless_a which_o shame_v not_o to_o have_v so_o many_o and_o yet_o among_o they_o all_o who_o god_n may_v send_v almost_o none_o in_o the_o next_o place_n by_o this_o inquiry_n and_o question_v make_v by_o god_n who_o shall_v he_o i_o send_v and_o who_o shall_v go_v for_o we_o the_o lord_n will_v teach_v we_o that_o no_o man_n be_v to_o undertake_v this_o function_n unless_o god_n call_v and_o send_v he_o therefore_o here_o be_v condemn_v the_o he_o even_o so_o all_o good_a minister_n be_v to_o stay_v god_n call_v if_o any_o ask_v how_o he_o shall_v know_v when_o call_n god_n call_v he_o i_o answer_v god_n call_v ordinary_o by_o his_o fit_a nor_o sound_a collection_n rather_o in_o my_o opinion_n we_o person_n may_v safe_o collect_v and_o conclude_v out_o of_o these_o word_n i_o and_o we_o that_o there_o be_v more_o person_n in_o the_o trinity_n than_o one_o for_o first_o god_n the_o father_n or_o the_o whole_a deity_n say_v who_o shall_v i_o send_v and_o then_o change_v the_o number_n he_o say_v who_o shall_v go_v for_o uâ—_n for_o howsoever_o god_n may_v employ_v in_o the_o word_n we_o that_o he_o that_o be_v send_v to_o preach_v be_v send_v as_o well_o for_o the_o good_a of_o the_o church_n as_o for_o his_o own_o glory_n yet_o can_v it_o not_o be_v deny_v but_o that_o the_o plural_a number_n here_o and_o else_o where_o ascribe_v to_o the_o deity_n must_v needs_o argue_v a_o certain_a plurality_n of_o person_n in_o that_o deity_n as_o in_o genesis_n it_o be_v write_v that_o god_n say_v let_v we_o make_v man_n and_o here_o who_o shall_v go_v for_o we_o 16._o out_o of_o the_o evidence_n of_o which_o place_n see_v here_o he_o go_v for_o i_o and_o so_o say_v the_o apostle_n of_o himself_o &_o all_o other_o good_a minister_n that_o they_o be_v god_n labourer_n and_o in_o another_o place_n the_o angel_n of_o 23._o
