a_o knowledge_n of_o sin_n for_o it_o say_v not_o only_o that_o murder_n avoutrie_n theft_n and_o such_o like_a be_v sin_n but_o it_o say_v kyl_v not_o thou_o yea_o be_v not_o angry_a with_o out_o a_o cause_n commit_v not_o thou_o avoutrie_n yea_o desire_v not_o a_o other_o man_n wife_n steal_v not_o thou_o yea_o defraud_v not_o thy_o neighbour_n in_o any_o business_n he_o that_o hear_v these_o thing_n with_o a_o purge_a mind_n and_o lyghten_v with_o the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n acknoledge_v that_o it_o be_v require_v in_o the_o law_n that_o we_o embrace_v and_o perform_v the_o thing_n that_o god_n command_v with_o all_o our_o herte_n with_o all_o our_o soul_n and_o with_o all_o our_o strength_n and_o that_o we_o all_o together_o abhor_v from_o that_o that_o he_o forbid_v with_o all_o our_o understand_v all_o our_o will_n and_o all_o our_o nature_n therefore_o when_o a_o man_n perceyve_v that_o he_o be_v yet_o far_o from_o this_o true_a obedience_n and_o study_v of_o god_n law_n he_o acknowledge_v himself_o though_o he_o abstain_v outward_o from_o murder_n adultery_n theft_n and_o fraud_n of_o his_o neighbour_n to_o be_v nevertheless_o before_o god_n a_o murtheer_n a_o adulterer_n and_o a_o thief_n and_o to_o be_v in_o danger_n for_o giltines_n of_o all_o these_o evyls_n for_o all_o be_v it_o that_o he_o have_v not_o conceyve_v in_o his_o mind_n any_o revengeaunce_n lust_n or_o wrong_n nor_o have_v consent_v to_o commit_v the_o same_o whereof_o no_o man_n will_v light_o boast_v neverthel_n he_o shall_v find_v in_o himself_o a_o inclination_n and_o a_o readiness_n of_o mind_n to_o the_o same_o mischive_n thus_o when_o he_o labour_v to_o lift_v up_o his_o mind_n unto_o virtue_n gentleness_n liberality_n and_o patience_n he_o feel_v his_o mind_n repugn_v and_o ever_o with_o draw_v itself_o from_o those_o dede_n and_o if_o it_o be_v somewhat_o steere_v up_o thereunto_o yet_o he_o perceyve_v it_o to_o faint_v therein_o and_o not_o to_o be_v move_v and_o to_o burn_v with_o so_o great_a desire_n as_o it_o shall_v but_o this_o lust_n to_o do_v evil_a this_o repugnaunce_n to_o good_a this_o difficulty_n slowness_n fayntnes_n and_o slarkenes_n be_v very_a sin_n before_o god_n because_o they_o be_v against_o the_o

as_o we_o transgress_v no_o commandment_n of_o god_n without_o the_o transgression_n of_o this_o so_o nevertheless_o both_o this_o promise_n and_o threaten_v perteyne_a to_o every_o commandment_n pestilence_n either_o in_o our_o own_o body_n or_o in_o the_o body_n of_o our_o child_n friend_n cat-tail_n evil_a weather_n for_o thing_n of_o the_o earth_n evyll_n luck_n damage_n in_o our_o business_n discord_n sedition_n war_n and_o all_o trouble_a of_o common_a peace_n for_o all_o these_o thing_n be_v send_v upon_o man_n from_o god_n for_o sin_n and_o ungodliness_n in_o this_o place_n the_o preacher_n shall_v add_v repentance_n god_n exercise_v we_o with_o afliction_n to_o call_v we_o back_o to_o repentance_n that_o god_n when_o he_o exercise_v the_o fayhthfull_a with_o sundry_a afliction_n correct_v they_o fatherly_a and_o for_o their_o profit_n and_o draw_v they_o back_o to_o himself_o and_o to_o his_o son_n christ_n that_o they_o be_v not_o damn_v with_o the_o wicked_a world_n and_o that_o he_o love_v they_o nothing_o the_o worse_o who_o he_o punish_v with_o outward_a punishment_n and_o sore_a calamity_n for_o he_o be_v wont_a to_o begin_v his_o judgement_n from_o his_o own_o house_n and_o to_o chasten_v they_o who_o he_o love_v and_o in_o they_o to_o show_v to_o the_o world_n the_o vehemency_n of_o his_o wrath_n that_o other_o man_n be_v fray_v with_o these_o judgement_n and_o with_o this_o so_o great_a severity_n of_o god_n upon_o his_o own_o child_n shall_v forthynke_v the_o sin_n in_o which_o they_o stycke_n and_o amend_v and_o take_v more_o diligent_a heed_n afterward_o that_o they_o sin_n not_o thyrd_o the_o people_n must_v be_v teach_v concern_v this_o promise_n and_o threaten_v of_o god_n i_o will_v visit_v the_o iniquity_n of_o the_o father_n upon_o the_o child_n to_o the_o three_o and_o four_o generation_n etc_n that_o god_n will_v exercise_v godly_a other_o man_n goodness_n profit_v not_o the_o ungodlie_a nor_o other_o ungodliness_n hurt_v not_o the_o godly_a this_o revengeaunce_n which_o he_o threaten_v here_o to_o his_o dispicer_n be_v ungodlie_a parent_n and_o elder_n upon_o those_o child_n only_o which_o through_o their_o own_o wickedness_n have_v like_o wise_n well_o deserve_v the_o punishment_n that_o they_o suffer_v so_o that_o yet_o in_o this_o world_n they_o suffer_v much_o less_o then_o be_v due_a to_o their_o sin_n and_o perversitie_n so_o in_o like_a manner_n that_o no_o godliness_n of_o the_o parent_n and_o elder_n profit_v their_o child_n which_o be_v ungodlie_a themselves_o and_o continue_v in_o their_o ungodliness_n but_o that_o it_o profit_v they_o only_o which_o be_v inheriter_n of_o their_o elder_n godliness_n for_o this_o threat_n and_o promise_v of_o god_n can_v not_o be_v contrary_a to_o his_o oracle_n set_v forth_o by_o ezechiell_n that_o be_v to_o say_v that_o every_o father_n or_o child_n shall_v either_o perish_v through_o his_o own_o ungodliness_n or_o live_v through_o his_o own_o godliness_n and_o that_o the_o father_n shall_v not_o be_v well_o entreat_v for_o the_o son_n godliness_n nor_o ill_a for_o the_o son_n wickedness_n but_o that_o every_o man_n shall_v hear_v his_o own_o sin_n if_o he_o live_v ungodlie_a and_o shall_v enjoy_v his_o reward_n if_o he_o live_v godly_a for_o by_o reason_n of_o original_a sin_n all_o man_n be_v bear_v undre_a the_o wrath_n of_o god_n and_o tyranny_n child_n god_n punish_v the_o wickedness_n of_o the_o parent_n in_o wicked_a child_n of_o the_o devyll_n wherefore_o if_o god_n to_o show_v we_o his_o just_a judgement_n leave_v accuse_v of_o iniquity_n seinge_v that_o they_o be_v evyll_n and_o the_o child_n of_o wrath_n by_o nature_n to_o who_o god_n can_v owe_v nothing_o but_o everlasting_a punishment_n so_o if_o god_n through_o his_o unspeakable_a mercy_n in_o christ_n jesu_n deliver_v through_o his_o son_n the_o child_n of_o they_o that_o love_v he_o from_o all_o perdition_n whereunto_o they_o be_v bear_v and_o adourne_v they_o with_o excellent_a godliness_n through_o the_o gift_n of_o his_o spirit_n and_o so_o heap_v so_o many_o benifitte_v upon_o they_o that_o every_o godly_a man_n may_v easy_o judge_v that_o in_o they_o both_o their_o own_o and_o their_o parent_n godliness_n be_v recompense_v and_o that_o it_o be_v declare_v how_o dear_a they_o be_v to_o god_n the_o unmeasurable_a goodness_n of_o god_n ought_v to_o be_v embrace_v and_o magnify_v therein_o and_o therefore_o god_n be_v more_o to_o be_v love_v and_o his_o word_n to_o be_v receyve_v more_o desirous_o but_o the_o unsearchable_a judgement_n of_o his_o mercy_n ought_v not_o to_o be_v seek_v out_o the_o deape_a bottom_n of_o his_o goodness_n must_v not_o be_v pore_v into_o much_o less_o ought_v we_o to_o blame_v this_o his_o so_o great_a bountiousnes_n which_o do_v with_o his_o own_o as_o please_v he_o ¶_o how_o the_o preacher_n must_v teach_v of_o remission_n of_o sin_n and_o justification_n after_o that_o man_n be_v move_v through_o the_o preaching_n of_o the_o law_n begin_v truelye_o to_o acknowledge_v their_o sin_n and_o to_o repent_v and_o now_o dete_v sin_n sigh_v for_o rightuousnes_n and_o careful_o desire_v to_o come_v to_o god_n favour_n again_o and_o to_o worship_v he_o religious_o the_o preaching_n of_o the_o gospel_n must_v also_o be_v add_v for_o to_o be_v sorry_a for_o sin_n suffice_v not_o to_o rightuousnes_n before_o god_n though_o the_o sorrow_n be_v so_o vehement_a that_o it_o may_v consume_v and_o kyl_v a_o man_n as_o there_o be_v in_o judas_n but_o satisfaction_n for_o sin_n be_v also_o require_v and_o a_o sure_a trust_n of_o god_n mercy_n with_o a_o purpose_a amendment_n of_o life_n and_o a_o continual_a study_n of_o ryghtuousnes_n afterward_o but_o man_n can_v perform_v none_o of_o these_o thing_n through_o his_o own_o strength_n neither_o satisfy_v for_o his_o sin_n commit_v and_o restore_v himself_o into_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n nor_o embrace_v a_o better_a life_n afterward_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n be_v alone_o which_o through_o his_o death_n have_v satisfy_v for_o our_o sin_n as_o john_n say_v he_o be_v a_o propitiation_n or_o atonement_n for_o our_o sin_n and_o not_o for_o our_o sin_n only_o but_o for_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n he_z through_o the_o preaching_n of_o the_o gospel_n set_v forth_o and_o offer_v the_o riches_n of_o god_n grace_n and_o goodness_n and_o his_o own_o satisfaction_n for_o our_o sin_n and_o the_o gift_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n and_o justifi_v deliver_v from_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n and_o make_v part_n taker_n of_o eternal_a life_n all_o those_o that_o with_o sure_a fay_v which_o he_o himself_o stear_v up_o and_o nourish_v in_o we_o acknowledge_v he_o and_o the_o father_n in_o he_o and_o this_o same_o his_o mercy_n redemption_n and_o satisfaction_n this_o be_v the_o thing_n that_o esaye_n preach_v that_o my_o righteous_a servant_n shall_v justify_v many_o through_o the_o
