testimony_n we_o must_v first_o subdue_v the_o lust_n of_o our_o flesh_n &_o not_o learn_v to_o be_v give_v to_o worldly_a thing_n neither_o yet_o to_o be_v nousle_v in_o that_o which_o we_o imagine_v to_o be_v the_o high_a point_n of_o our_o felicity_n but_o that_o we_o may_v understand_v to_o contemn_v riches_n &_o all_o other_o thing_n whatsoever_o which_o may_v withdraw_v we_o from_o our_o we_o abundance_n of_o riches_n we_o may_v know_v how_o to_o use_v they_o with_o out_o have_v our_o heart_n imprison_v in_o they_o &_o yet_o notwithstanding_o to_o be_v poor_a in_o spirit_n to_o wit_n meditate_v in_o thy_o commandment_n and_o consider_v thy_o way_n my_o delight_n shall_v be_v in_o thy_o statute_n &_o i_o will_v not_o forget_v thy_o word_n this_o be_v the_o conclusion_n to_o confirm_v the_o matter_n which_o we_o have_v already_o speak_v off_o for_o david_n here_o speak_v of_o no_o new_a matter_n but_o protest_v as_o he_o have_v begin_v that_o his_o delight_n shall_v be_v always_o in_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n &_o in_o the_o doctrine_n contain_v in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n and_o that_o he_o will_v bestow_v his_o whole_a study_n therein_o &_o so_o continue_v the_o same_o and_o never_o forget_v the_o desire_n which_o he_o have_v to_o profit_v in_o the_o obedience_n of_o god_n if_o david_n now_o have_v thus_o say_v let_v we_o understand_v that_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o for_o we_o to_o be_v well_o affect_v to_o serve_v god_n and_o that_o for_o the_o perform_v thereof_o that_o we_o have_v already_o sufficient_o travel_v but_o we_o must_v also_o be_v prick_v forward_o that_o we_o may_v always_o go_v on_o for_o even_o the_o very_a faithful_a never_o run_v with_o so_o fervent_a and_o hot_a a_o desire_n but_o that_o they_o continual_o draw_v one_o leg_n after_o they_o &_o never_o come_v unto_o god_n but_o in_o halt_v wise_a what_o be_v there_o then_o for_o we_o to_o do_v forsooth_o we_o must_v protest_v with_o david_n never_o to_o forget_v that_o which_o god_n have_v once_o declare_v unto_o we_o and_o also_o never_o to_o cease_v to_o prick_v ourselves_o on_o to_o the_o end_n there_o may_v be_v great_a vehemency_n in_o we_o to_o go_v unto_o he_o with_o a_o more_o servant_n desire_n and_o bold_a courage_n so_o that_o at_o the_o last_o we_o may_v grow_v to_o this_o perfection_n whereunto_o god_n call_v &_o allure_v we_o that_o be_v that_o be_v uncase_v from_o out_o of_o our_o flesh_n and_o nature_n he_o may_v full_o conjoin_v we_o unto_o his_o righteousness_n that_o thereby_o his_o glory_n may_v shine_v in_o us._n and_o according_a to_o this_o holy_a doctrine_n let_v we_o prostrate_v ourselves_o before_o the_o face_n of_o our_o good_a god_n acknowledge_v our_o innumerable_a sin_n by_o which_o we_o continual_o provoke_v his_o heavy_a wrath_n and_o indignation_n against_o us._n beseech_v he_o that_o it_o will_v please_v he_o to_o make_v we_o to_o feel_v our_o sin_n and_o iniquity_n more_o than_o ever_o to_o fore_o we_o have_v do_v to_o the_o end_n we_o may_v seek_v for_o such_o remedy_n as_o he_o have_v ordain_v for_o we_o in_o exercise_v ourselves_o about_o the_o read_n of_o his_o holy_a word_n and_o spirit_n he_o may_v to_o put_v his_o help_a hand_n even_o in_o our_o heart_n and_o not_o too_o suffer_v the_o doctrine_n which_o we_o hear_v by_o the_o mouth_n of_o his_o preacher_n to_o become_v unprofitable_a unto_o we_o but_o that_o it_o may_v have_v the_o full_a power_n &_o strength_n so_o that_o we_o may_v from_o day_n to_o day_n be_v confirm_v therein_o and_o more_o and_o more_o learn_v to_o forsake_v the_o world_n and_o all_o whatsoever_o may_v withdraw_v we_o from_o the_o union_n and_o conjunction_n of_o our_o lord_n and_o master_n jesus_n christ_n who_o be_v our_o head_n and_o that_o he_o will_v not_o only_o show_v unto_o we_o this_o favour_n and_o grace_n but_o also_o unto_o all_o people_n and_o nation_n of_o the_o earth_n etc._n etc._n the_o three_o sermon_n of_o the_o as_o we_o have_v confess_v that_o it_o be_v but_o to_o show_v our_o ingratitude_n and_o unthankfulness_n and_o yet_o no_o man_n make_v any_o account_n hereof_o loe_o here_o wherefore_o the_o holy_a ghost_n see_v we_o so_o tie_v to_o the_o world_n put_v we_o in_o mind_n too_o what_o end_n we_o live_v here_o as_o here_o david_n make_v this_o request_n to_o god_n too_o obtain_v that_o benefit_n footstep_n now_o he_o say_v o_o that_o my_o way_n be_v make_v so_o direct_a that_o i_o may_v keep_v thy_o commandment_n herein_o he_o declare_v that_o a_o faithful_a man_n after_o he_o have_v know_v but_o that_o all_o proceed_v from_o the_o good_a will_n and_o love_a kindness_n of_o the_o lord_n sithence_o then_o that_o we_o be_v so_o incline_v to_o rove_v in_o our_o own_o way_n hither_o and_o thither_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o foolish_a presumption_n and_o vain_a confidence_n which_o we_o have_v of_o our_o own_o wisdom_n let_v we_o use_v such_o remedy_n as_o god_n have_v assign_v we_o to_o weet_v that_o we_o forsake_v ourselves_o and_o tread_v under_o foot_n this_o carnal_a reason_n which_o deceive_v we_o that_o we_o set_v at_o naught_o all_o our_o lust_n and_o ungodly_a affection_n that_o god_n only_o may_v bear_v rule_n and_o our_o life_n be_v guide_v according_a to_o his_o his_o law_n it_o follow_v then_o shall_v i_o not_o be_v confound_v when_o i_o have_v respect_n to_o all_o so_o many_o enemy_n rebel_a against_o god_n and_o which_o hinder_v we_o to_o walk_v after_o his_o will_n we_o ought_v therefore_o to_o pray_v unto_o he_o that_o he_o will_v hold_v we_o in_o that_o he_o may_v be_v our_o master_n &_o we_o his_o vassal_n moreover_o let_v we_o consider_v well_o of_o that_o which_o be_v here_o speak_v to_o weet_v that_o in_o keep_v the_o comaundemente_n of_o god_n we_o shall_v never_o be_v confound_v by_o this_o he_o do_v we_o to_o understand_v that_o so_o many_o as_o follow_v their_o own_o lust_n &_o fantasy_n which_o look_v this_o way_n &_o that_o way_n and_o do_v imagine_v themselves_o a_o mark_n &_o forge_v themselves_o such_o away_o as_o seem_v good_a in_o their_o own_o sight_n that_o they_o shall_v be_v confound_v and_o deceive_v no_o doubt_n when_o man_n do_v that_o which_o best_o like_v themselves_o they_o straightways_o think_v all_o thing_n shall_v go_v so_o well_o with_o they_o as_o be_v possible_a to_o be_v wish_v glory_v in_o their_o own_o vain_a imagination_n but_o what_o follow_v thereof_o god_n confound_v they_o in_o their_o own_o arrogancy_n wherewith_o they_o be_v puff_v up_o for_o a_o time_n will_v we_o eschew_v this_o confusion_n of_o the_o unbelieve_a person_n let_v we_o have_v a_o eye_n to_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n to_o wit_n let_v our_o eye_n be_v settle_v on_o they_o and_o look_v not_o on_o our_o own_o reason_n nor_o of_o our_o natural_a sense_n neither_o yet_o of_o any_o other_o thing_n that_o lie_v in_o our_o own_o power_n which_o may_v turn_v we_o away_o from_o they_o and_o it_o be_v a_o necessary_a point_n for_o we_o to_o be_v enfourm_v thereof_o for_o as_o often_o as_o man_n will_v give_v themselves_o leave_v to_o imagine_v and_o think_v what_o they_o listen_v to_o have_v do_v there_o shall_v a_o thousand_o thought_n for_o close_a their_o mind_n and_o so_o will_v turn_v they_o away_o from_o god_n and_o whole_o estrange_v they_o from_o the_o doctrine_n of_o salvation_n and_o for_o this_o cause_n david_n declare_v that_o there_o be_v but_o one_o only_a mean_a to_o wit_n that_o we_o shall_v whole_o settle_v our_o eye_n upon_o the_o law_n of_o god_n without_o turn_v away_o from_o it_o either_o on_o this_o side_n or_o on_o that_o as_o common_o and_o usual_o we_o do_v afterward_o he_o go_v on_o and_o say_v i_o will_v praise_v thou_o with_o a_o upright_o heart_n when_o i_o shall_v learn_v the_o judgement_n of_o thy_o righteousness_n david_n show_v in_o this_o verse_n how_o we_o may_v praise_v the_o lord_n our_o god_n and_o that_o be_v continual_o follow_v the_o plainness_n of_o his_o matter_n for_o we_o must_v all_o confess_v that_o our_o life_n be_v miserable_a if_o it_o tend_v not_o to_o the_o praise_n and_o glorify_v of_o god_n let_v we_o now_o see_v how_o we_o may_v praise_v he_o we_o must_v be_v exercise_v in_o his_o judgement_n that_o be_v in_o the_o rule_n which_o he_o have_v set_v down_o unto_o us._n for_o this_o word_n judgement_n import_v that_o we_o be_v teach_v and_o instruct_v of_o that_o which_o we_o have_v to_o do_v for_o our_o life_n be_v outrageous_a if_o we_o pass_v the_o limit_n and_o bound_n which_o he_o have_v appoint_v we_o and_o contrariwyse_o we_o keep_v a_o true_a uprightness_n in_o obey_v of_o he_o now_o than_o he_o say_v that_o when_o he_o shall_v have_v learn_v the_o righteous_a judgement_n of_o god_n that_o then_o he_o will_v thank_v he_o with_o a_o unfeigned_a heart_n by_o this_o he_o signify_v unto_o we_o that_o although_o man_n persuade_v themselves_o to_o love_n god_n as_o much_o as_o be_v possible_a nevertheless_o that_o it_o be_v but_o feign_a until_o such_o time_n as_o they_o be_v unfeigned_o instruct_v in_o the_o law_n and_o thus_o much_o for_o that_o moreover_o here_o be_v to_o be_v note_v that_o that_o be_v not_o all_o which_o we_o have_v learn_v that_o god_n show_v unto_o we_o in_o his_o word_n but_o david_n speak_v here_o of_o a_o instruction_n which_o take_v root_n and_o be_v settle_v and_o abide_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o man_n according_a to_o that_o which_o have_v heretofore_o be_v say_v for_o a_o number_n may_v imagine_v of_o their_o own_o brain_n what_o the_o law_n of_o god_n be_v but_o in_o the_o mean_a while_o it_o stand_v so_o with_o they_o that_o when_o we_o behold_v their_o life_n and_o conversation_n it_o appear_v that_o they_o have_v profit_v no_o whit_n at_o all_o in_o his_o school_n it_o be_v meet_v therefore_o that_o out_o heart_n be_v bring_v to_o the_o school_n of_o god_n to_o weet_v that_o whatsoever_o he_o teach_v we_o it_o may_v be_v thorough_o imprint_v and_o engrave_v within_o and_o this_o be_v that_o manner_n of_o learning_n whereof_o david_n here_o speak_v for_o if_o we_o have_v be_v exercise_v in_o this_o sort_n that_o we_o have_v hold_v the_o doctrine_n and_o law_n of_o god_n we_o may_v very_o well_o glorify_v his_o bless_a name_n to_o weet_v we_o may_v true_o praise_v he_o as_o he_o have_v command_v us._n when_o he_o say_v i_o will_v keep_v thy_o statute_n that_o be_v that_o he_o be_v so_o resolve_a and_o confirm_v in_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o law_n that_o he_o have_v overcome_v all_o the_o affection_n and_o lust_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o the_o world_n which_o may_v resist_v and_o hinder_v he_o in_o the_o service_n of_o god_n he_o have_v say_v before_o o_o that_o my_o way_n be_v make_v so_o direct_a he_o desire_v as_o a_o man_n which_o when_o he_o can_v have_v that_o which_o he_o wish_v for_o be_v in_o great_a pain_n and_o travel_v it_o behove_v we_o also_o to_o pour_v out_o such_o sigh_n &_o groan_n consider_v the_o rebellion_n of_o our_o flesh_n which_o be_v so_o contrary_a to_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n that_o all_o our_o thought_n and_o affection_n as_o be_v abovesaid_a be_v so_o many_o gainesayinge_n that_o they_o turn_v we_o clean_o away_o from_o his_o obeisance_n we_o must_v therefore_o say_v
that_o we_o hold_v no_o way_n although_o we_o think_v all_o to_o the_o contrary_n but_o we_o be_v to_o consider_v why_o he_o especial_o speak_v here_o of_o a_o young_a man_n for_o we_o be_v sure_a that_o god_n have_v give_v his_o law_n aswell_o for_o the_o great_a as_o the_o small_a for_o the_o old_a as_o the_o young_a that_o when_o we_o shall_v begin_v to_o be_v teach_v it_o even_o from_o our_o youth_n we_o must_v hold_v &_o continue_v it_o to_o the_o grave_n wherefore_o then_o do_v david_n strain_v this_o doctrine_n of_o the_o law_n too_o young_a man_n it_o be_v not_o for_o that_o it_o reach_v not_o unto_o the_o age_a but_o there_o be_v two_o reason_n why_o he_o so_o speak_v we_o know_v the_o hot_a affection_n that_o be_v in_o youth_n and_o that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o heat_n in_o we_o as_o that_o it_o seem_v it_o can_v no_o way_n be_v keep_v in_o and_o because_o it_o be_v a_o hard_a matter_n too_o repress_v the_o hot_a and_o exceed_a boil_a affection_n of_o youngman_n david_n especial_o show_v that_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v the_o best_a remedy_n to_o repress_v the_o same_o as_o if_o he_o shall_v have_v say_v it_o be_v very_o true_a that_o young_a man_n be_v recheles_a and_o do_v err_v yea_o like_v unto_o wild_a beast_n which_o cast_v no_o doubt_n so_o hot_a and_o furious_a as_o that_o it_o be_v almost_o impossible_a to_o bring_v they_o to_o any_o good_a pass_n or_o yet_o to_o restrain_v they_o for_o when_o we_o think_v to_o have_v sure_a hold_n on_o they_o then_o be_v they_o far_a off_o but_o if_o they_o shall_v be_v advise_v and_o counsel_v to_o be_v order_v and_o govern_v by_o god_n no_o doubt_n of_o it_o they_o will_v be_v great_o daunt_v and_o although_o their_o passion_n and_o affection_n do_v great_o exceed_v yet_o shall_v a_o man_n see_v in_o they_o some_o modesty_n and_o a_o quiet_a and_o courteous_a behaviour_n the_o mischief_n than_o be_v that_o young_a man_n will_v not_o be_v subject_a to_o god_n for_o if_o they_o will_v they_o shall_v find_v a_o good_a mean_a in_o his_o word_n yea_o and_o the_o same_o very_a sufficient_a to_o remedy_v all_o their_o vice_n and_o it_o tend_v to_o this_o end_n to_o declare_v unto_o we_o what_o virtue_n be_v in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n even_o to_o suppress_v the_o most_o outrageous_a passion_n that_o may_v possible_o be_v within_o us._n and_o thus_o much_o for_o the_o first_o point_n the_o second_o reason_n be_v that_o david_n his_o meaning_n be_v chief_o to_o show_v unto_o the_o young_a sort_n that_o they_o have_v great_a need_n to_o be_v hold_v short_a for_o otherwise_o they_o will_v exceed_v more_o &_o more_o in_o all_o mischief_n for_o their_o nature_n be_v the_o rather_o more_o &_o more_o incline_v to_o evil_a because_o it_o have_v little_a advice_n and_o small_a wisdom_n his_o mind_n therefore_o be_v to_o advertise_v they_o of_o this_o necessity_n because_o they_o shall_v be_v more_o careful_a to_o bestow_v their_o study_n upon_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o to_o be_v brief_a his_o meaning_n be_v to_o advertise_v the_o whole_a world_n in_o general_n that_o we_o ought_v betimes_o to_o enter_v into_o the_o school_n of_o god_n if_o we_o will_v be_v teach_v according_o to_o his_o will_n we_o know_v what_o solomon_n say_v in_o the_o book_n of_o ecclesiastes_n that_o we_o must_v not_o tarry_v until_o we_o come_v to_o old_a wear_v year_n 12.2_o eccl._n do_v now_o reign_v and_o have_v in_o all_o age_n reign_v in_o the_o world_n come_v because_o that_o god_n be_v not_o obey_v for_o if_o that_o be_v so_o we_o shall_v have_v a_o bridle_n to_o keep_v we_o in_o awe_n and_o in_o good_a order_n so_o that_o we_o will_v suffer_v ourselves_o to_o be_v order_v by_o the_o doctrine_n which_o be_v contain_v in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n if_o we_o they_o will_v humble_v ourselves_o and_o be_v subject_a to_o god_n as_o to_o our_o master_n all_o thing_n shall_v be_v aswell_o direct_v as_o we_o can_v possible_o wish_v but_o why_o do_v we_o not_o so_o the_o world_n forsooth_o will_v not_o obey_v god_n as_o become_v it_o neither_o will_v it_o he_o bring_v to_o this_o reason_n behold_v then_o the_o cause_n why_o we_o see_v all_o thing_n so_o confuse_v as_o they_o be_v so_o it_o be_v that_o we_o be_v altogether_o inexcusable_a see_v that_o our_o god_n so_o offer_v himself_o unto_o we_o &_o declare_v unto_o we_o that_o if_o we_o will_v affection_n be_v like_o wild_a beast_n that_o we_o can_v repress_v they_o let_v we_o know_v that_o our_o god_n will_v give_v power_n and_o strength_n to_o his_o word_n that_o we_o may_v be_v join_v bring_v to_o this_o pass_n to_o suppress_v their_o inordinate_a affection_n and_o lust_n if_o so_o be_v they_o will_v give_v that_o honour_n to_o god_n which_o unto_o he_o appertain_v that_o be_v if_o they_o will_v follow_v his_o word_n furthermore_o we_o be_v here_o to_o note_v the_o exhortation_n which_o we_o have_v already_o touch_v to_o wit_n that_o it_o be_v david_n his_o meaning_n to_o manifest_v unto_o we_o that_o we_o ought_v betimes_o to_o be_v god_n scholar_n and_o to_o suffer_v he_o to_o rule_v we_o and_o to_o continue_v and_o hold_v we_o in_o this_o study_n all_o the_o day_n of_o our_o life_n let_v we_o not_o then_o tarry_v until_o we_o come_v to_o the_o grave_n brink_n to_o become_v wise_a in_o this_o behalf_n as_o we_o see_v these_o scorner_n which_o make_v themselves_o god_n call_v and_o allure_v they_o and_o do_v also_o understand_v and_o know_v the_o large_a and_o sweet_a promise_n offer_v unto_o they_o therein_o such_o i_o say_v will_v say_v with_o david_n o_o lord_n thy_o law_n be_v wonderful_a and_o so_o consequent_o will_v desire_v that_o their_o eye_n may_v be_v lighten_v confess_v themselves_o to_o be_v blind_a until_o such_o time_n as_o god_n have_v aid_v they_o with_o his_o holy_a spirit_n now_o it_o follow_v i_o be_o a_o stranger_n upon_o earth_n hide_v not_o thy_o commandment_n from_o i_o when_o david_n do_v put_v to_o this_o verse_n he_o commandment_n from_o i_o they_o which_o make_v their_o continual_a nest_n here_o according_a to_o their_o own_o fancy_n and_o think_v to_o make_v their_o heaven_n in_o this_o world_n these_o man_n i_o say_v have_v nothing_o to_o do_v with_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n for_o their_o salvation_n for_o they_o be_v safe_a enough_o if_o they_o may_v eat_v and_o drink_v to_o be_v glut_v that_o they_o may_v take_v their_o pleasure_n and_o delight_n that_o they_o may_v be_v honour_v that_o they_o may_v be_v in_o estimation_n and_o credit_n lo_o here_o be_v all_o that_o they_o desire_v or_o wish_v to_o have_v yea_o forsooth_o for_o they_o look_v no_o further_o but_o to_o this_o corruptible_a and_o transitory_a life_n these_o man_n i_o say_v be_v not_o great_o trouble_v ne_o yet_o have_v any_o care_n of_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n but_o when_o as_o they_o shall_v be_v take_v from_o they_o all_o shall_v be_v one_o to_o they_o when_o as_o the_o covetous_a man_n the_o whoremonger_n the_o dronkarde_n the_o ambitious_a person_n shall_v hear_v no_o preach_v of_o the_o word_n at_o all_o neither_o any_o talk_n of_o god_n ne_o yet_o of_o christianity_n nor_o of_o life_n everlasting_a he_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n cease_v not_o to_o pursue_v his_o own_o way_n yea_o and_o it_o be_v to_o they_o a_o loathsome_a and_o unpleasant_a kind_n of_o speech_n to_o hear_v god_n speak_v of_o but_o have_v rather_o have_v no_o mention_n in_o the_o whole_a world_n make_v of_o he_o and_o therefore_o it_o be_v not_o without_o cause_n why_o david_n require_v not_o to_o have_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n take_v from_o he_o &_o this_o be_v his_o reason_n to_o wit_n because_o he_o be_v a_o stranger_n on_o the_o earth_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v have_v say_v o_o lord_n if_o i_o have_v none_o other_o more_o excellent_a life_n as_o to_o that_o also_o wherein_o we_o repose_v our_o whole_a trust_n see_v then_o o_o lord_n that_o i_o be_o a_o stranger_n in_o the_o world_n let_v not_o thy_o commandment_n be_v take_v away_o from_o i_o now_o in_o this_o part_n be_v contain_v a_o very_a profitable_a doctrine_n and_o exhortation_n for_o we_o for_o we_o know_v how_o cold_a we_o be_v where_o in_o deed_n we_o ought_v to_o have_v a_o ardent_a desire_n to_o be_v teach_v the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o to_o be_v more_o and_o more_o confirm_v therein_o and_o i_o beseech_v you_o how_o careless_a be_v we_o but_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n hereof_o no_o doubt_n of_o it_o we_o must_v always_o even_o search_v and_o look_v into_o the_o depth_n and_o bottom_n of_o this_o corruption_n and_o mischief_n for_o when_o we_o see_v any_o vice_n in_o ourselves_o we_o ought_v to_o inquire_v from_o whence_o the_o cause_n proceed_v to_o the_o end_n we_o may_v find_v remedy_n for_o the_o same_o god_n and_o seek_v after_o his_o will_n yea_o and_o too_o hold_v we_o too_o it_o in_o the_o second_o place_n as_o david_n have_v already_o protest_v that_o we_o be_v not_o capable_a to_o understande_v the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o the_o content_n thereof_o if_o we_o be_v not_o teach_v from_o above_o that_o be_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n he_o also_o add_v that_o he_o can_v have_v no_o good_a affection_n nor_o desire_n to_o give_v himself_o thereto_o until_o such_o time_n as_o his_o heart_n be_v reform_v the_o law_n of_o god_n may_v seem_v to_o be_v but_o a_o common_a thing_n yea_o we_o ourselves_o do_v see_v that_o the_o proud_a man_n of_o this_o world_n contemn_v it_o as_o a_o thing_n too_o too_o common_a but_o yet_o as_o david_n have_v before_o say_v god_n have_v set_v down_o untoo_o we_o in_o his_o law_n wonderful_a secret_n which_o he_o here_o repete_v not_o in_o vain_a that_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v that_o in_o receive_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n from_o heaven_n he_o shall_v be_v conduct_v to_o the_o end_n to_o follow_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n now_o he_o namely_o say_v that_o i_o will_v keep_v yea_o that_o i_o will_v keep_v it_o with_o my_o whole_a hart_n this_o be_v no_o superfluous_a repetition_n when_o he_o say_v that_o i_o will_v keep_v yea_o that_o i_o will_v keep_v it_o with_o my_o whole_a heart_n for_o behold_v what_o it_o be_v that_o abuse_v do_v as_o we_o take_v it_o and_o why_o so_o for_o say_v he_o he_o must_v keep_v it_o with_o his_o whole_a heart_n when_o he_o mean_v to_o show_v unto_o we_o what_o the_o good_a keep_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n be_v and_o such_o a_o observation_n as_o god_n require_v of_o we_o it_o be_v not_o only_o mean_v that_o our_o foot_n and_o hand_n shall_v be_v see_v to_o be_v well_o rule_v and_o compass_v that_o our_o sin_n and_o iniquity_n shall_v be_v so_o apparent_a as_o that_o they_o may_v be_v condemn_v in_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o world_n this_o say_v i_o be_v not_o all_o as_o to_o use_v such_o a_o observation_n but_o we_o must_v say_v david_n keep_v the_o law_n of_o god_n with_o our_o whole_a heart_n when_o as_o we_o shall_v be_v never_o so_o little_o affect_v or_o desirous_a thereto_o it_o shall_v be_v a_o great_a deal_n more_o worth_a than_o all_o the_o substance_n in_o the_o world_n but_o we_o must_v beware_v that_o we_o have_v not_o a_o double_a heart_n that_o our_o desire_n be_v so_o cold_a and_o feeble_a as_o to_o say_v very_o well_o i_o will_v glad_o that_o god_n will_v bestow_v his_o grace_n upon_o i_o that_o i_o may_v follow_v his_o commandment_n and_o thereupon_o to_o show_v ourselves_o weary_a and_o slougthfull_a but_o we_o must_v have_v a_o true_a sincerity_n to_o walk_v therein_o with_o all_o fullness_n and_o integrity_n but_o i_o beseech_v you_o what_o be_v he_o that_o be_v able_a to_o attain_v to_o that_o perfection_n it_o be_v so_o far_o of_o that_o there_o shall_v be_v any_o such_o uprightness_n in_o we_o as_o that_o we_o be_v not_o able_a to_o think_v once_o a_o good_a thought_n except_o god_n change_v our_o perverse_a nature_n which_o before_o shall_v be_v repugnant_a and_o contrary_a unto_o his_o righteousness_n wherefore_o in_o sum_n as_o that_o it_o be_v very_o hard_a too_o hold_v they_o in_o but_o all_o this_o shall_v be_v nothing_o for_o it_o shall_v be_v all_o but_o mere_a hypocrisy_n and_o because_o that_o thou_o have_v respect_n to_o the_o heart_n all_o my_o carnal_a passion_n and_o affection_n must_v be_v pull_v down_o &_o myself_o in_o such_o sort_n renew_v as_o that_o i_o may_v be_v whole_o conform_v unto_o thy_o righreousnes_n alas_o my_o god_n and_o if_o i_o must_v be_v bring_v to_o that_o i_o see_v it_o to_o be_v a_o impossible_a matter_n and_o so_o thou_o must_v needs_o put_v thy_o help_a hand_n unto_o i_o
