and_o immortal_a soul_n and_o main_o because_o the_o renew_a faculty_n of_o the_o soul_n be_v the_o immediate_a actor_n of_o they_o and_o so_o consequent_o this_o rejoice_n in_o a_o man_n be_v own_o work_n be_v not_o to_o be_v understand_v in_o opposition_n to_o rejoice_v in_o the_o lord_n but_o to_o rejoice_v in_o what_o be_v sinful_a or_o unsuitable_a for_o reasonable_a creature_n and_o mar_v the_o comfortable_a use_n of_o what_o they_o have_v through_o the_o blessing_n of_o god_n upon_o their_o own_o industry_n and_o pain_n attain_v unto_o and_o their_o cheerful_a follow_v of_o their_o the_o consideration_n of_o the_o certainty_n and_o sweetness_n thereof_o may_v compense_v all_o the_o present_a bitterness_n of_o their_o oppression_n for_o this_o be_v another_o consideration_n to_o ignorance_n of_o the_o lord_n sovereignty_n and_o wisdom_n who_o work_v all_o for_o his_o own_o glory_n and_o the_o good_a of_o his_o people_n hence_o learn_v â—â—_o motion_n of_o revenge_n be_v ready_a to_o arise_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o lord_n oppress_v people_n against_o the_o instrument_n of_o their_o trouble_n and_o will_v arise_v if_o their_o heart_n be_v not_o prepossess_v of_o god_n to_o cherish_v their_o passion_n to_o multiply_v in_o their_o thought_n aggravation_n of_o their_o wrong_n and_o to_o feed_v upon_o the_o contemplation_n of_o possible_a way_n of_o revenge_n and_o this_o without_o any_o reluctance_n or_o grief_n that_o the_o heart_n shall_v be_v so_o exercise_v though_o a_o child_n of_o god_n may_v be_v assault_v with_o passion_n and_o motion_n of_o revenge_n yet_o these_o get_v not_o leave_v to_o rest_v peaceable_o in_o his_o bosom_n for_o anger_n rest_v in_o the_o bosom_n of_o fool_n the_o expression_n signify_v to_o cherish_v defend_v and_o foster_v their_o passion_n ruth_n 4.16_o 5._o man_n in_o who_o heart_n revenge_n be_v a_o settle_a habit_n and_o who_o do_v not_o disquiet_v themselves_o by_o pain_n and_o wrestle_n with_o god_n and_o their_o own_o heart_n to_o get_v another_o frame_n whatever_o worldly_a wisdom_n they_o have_v they_o be_v in_o god_n account_n fool_n and_o prove_v themselves_o thereby_o void_a of_o save_v
knowledge_n for_o anger_n rest_v in_o the_o bosom_n of_o fool_n 6._o when_o passion_n be_v raise_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o best_a it_o be_v not_o soon_o lay_v again_o if_o it_o once_o get_v make_v we_o submissive_a to_o his_o work_v for_o to_o these_o and_o many_o other_o thing_n of_o that_o sort_n may_v this_o be_v apply_v as_o a_o reason_n to_o make_v man_n submissive_a to_o his_o it_o or_o upon_o suffer_v not_o for_o a_o weighty_a cause_n or_o not_o in_o a_o right_a manner_n for_o that_o there_o be_v such_o difference_n of_o time_n and_o cause_n and_o a_o necessity_n of_o observe_v these_o import_v in_o this_o a_o wise_a man_n heart_n in_o order_n to_o a_o right_a carriage_n in_o such_o a_o case_n discern_v both_o time_n and_o judgement_n 6._o it_o be_v not_o man_n natural_a wit_n or_o acquire_v prudence_n that_o will_v discover_v to_o they_o the_o season_n of_o do_v or_o suffer_v the_o cause_n of_o either_o and_o the_o right_a manner_n of_o they_o neither_o can_v particular_a precept_n be_v give_v for_o direction_n in_o all_o particular_a circumstance_n relate_v
thereunto_o but_o it_o be_v the_o wisdom_n from_o above_o learn_v out_o of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n by_o humble_a dependence_n upon_o his_o spirit_n to_o lead_v in_o all_o truth_n and_o to_o give_v in_o the_o hour_n when_o man_n be_v put_v to_o it_o what_o to_o speak_v and_o consequent_o what_o to_o act_v and_o when_o and_o how_o to_o act_v for_o it_o be_v only_o the_o wise_a man_n heart_n to_o wit_n the_o heart_n illuminat_fw-la with_o the_o save_v knowledge_n of_o god_n and_o his_o will_n and_o possess_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o wisdom_n that_o discern_v both_o time_n and_o judgement_n 7._o these_o who_o make_v conscience_n to_o keep_v the_o command_n of_o god_n in_o so_o far_o as_o they_o be_v make_v plain_a to_o they_o shall_v not_o want_v direction_n from_o god_n in_o these_o thing_n which_o be_v more_o in_o the_o dark_a so_o that_o the_o conscionable_a practice_n of_o clear_a duty_n be_v the_o best_a way_n to_o attain_v clearness_n in_o doubtful_a case_n for_o the_o wise_a man_n here_o speak_v of_o who_o heart_n discern_v time_n and_o judgement_n be_v he_o that_o keep_v the_o commandeman_n of_o god_n and_o so_o be_v suppose_v to_o be_v walk_v conscionable_o according_a to_o his_o light_n this_o man_n in_o exigency_n and_o strait_n shall_v discern_v both_o time_n and_o judgement_n ver._n 6._o because_o to_o every_o purpose_n there_o be_v time_n and_o judgement_n therefore_o the_o misery_n of_o man_n be_v great_a upon_o he_o 7._o for_o he_o know_v not_o what_o shall_v be_v for_o who_o can_v tell_v he_o when_o it_o shall_v be_v have_v show_v the_o excellent_a advantage_n that_o they_o have_v who_o be_v endue_v with_o save_v wisdom_n to_o wit_n ability_n to_o discern_v their_o duty_n and_o the_o season_n thereof_o he_o come_v now_o to_o show_v be_v understand_v as_o if_o the_o ignorance_n of_o future_a event_n simple_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o man_n misery_n for_o then_o the_o man_n that_o have_v the_o great_a measure_n of_o save_v thus_o he_o know_v not_o what_o shall_v be_v even_o so_o far_o as_o may_v be_v know_v by_o that_o save_v wisdom_n which_o he_o be_v commend_v particular_o by_o the_o light_n of_o the_o word_n and_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o his_o misery_n must_v be_v great_a upon_o he_o for_o the_o other_o expression_n who_o can_v tell_v he_o when_o it_o shall_v be_v it_o have_v the_o force_n of_o a_o negation_n none_o can_v tell_v he_o or_o none_o can_v make_v he_o capable_a see_v god_n have_v not_o teach_v he_o the_o time_a of_o his_o action_n a_o right_a carriage_n in_o strait_n and_o another_o he_o may_v easy_o think_v to_o find_v he_o out_o and_o to_o reach_v and_o over_o reach_n by_o his_o wit_n the_o work_n of_o one_o like_o himself_o for_o solomon_n speak_v of_o this_o as_o some_o considerable_a success_n of_o his_o pain_n which_o he_o have_v after_o apply_v his_o heart_n and_o behold_v all_o thing_n as_o god_n work_n that_o he_o find_v at_o last_o that_o a_o man_n can_v find_v out_o the_o work_n of_o god_n 9_o suppose_v a_o man_n to_o be_v never_o so_o indefatigable_a in_o pain_n and_o study_n to_o have_v never_o so_o vast_a and_o comprehensive_a a_o understanding_n short_a of_o desire_a success_n yea_o even_o of_o thing_n necessary_a for_o the_o sustenance_n of_o their_o natural_a life_n so_o that_o often_o their_o wit_n can_v so_o much_o as_o get_v they_o bread_n that_o so_o they_o may_v be_v teach_v dependence_n upon_o a_o superior_a overrule_a providence_n which_o must_v concur_v with_o a_o blessing_n else_o their_o great_a endeavour_n and_o promise_a appearance_n of_o success_n will_v fall_v short_a of_o the_o desire_a and_o intend_a effect_n three_o he_o give_v a_o twofold_a cause_n of_o these_o disappointment_n the_o one_o be_v without_o man_n to_o wit_n the_o secret_a powerful_a providence_n of_o god_n for_o say_v he_o time_n and_o chance_n happen_v to_o they_o all_o the_o time_n here_o speak_v of_o be_v the_o fit_a
