as_o the_o honour_n of_o the_o hypostatick_a union_n the_o redemption_n from_o sin_n and_o misery_n by_o the_o death_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n the_o grace_n of_o repentance_n and_o the_o like_a all_o which_o be_v yet_o improve_v and_o heighten_v by_o this_o further_a consideration_n that_o they_o be_v proper_a and_o peculiar_a to_o he_o no_o other_o creature_n not_o so_o much_o as_o the_o angel_n themselves_o being_n partaker_n with_o he_o the_o angel_n indeed_o as_o all_o other_o creature_n partake_v of_o the_o goodness_n of_o god_n but_o man_n alone_o among_o all_o the_o creature_n have_v the_o privilege_n to_o be_v the_o object_n of_o his_o mercy_n since_o therefore_o man_n and_o man_n only_o have_v receive_v so_o much_o mercy_n of_o god_n it_o appear_v very_o reasonable_a one_o member_n suffer_v all_o the_o member_n suffer_v with_o it_o or_o if_o one_o member_n be_v honour_v all_o the_o member_n rejoice_v with_o it_o 1_o cor._n 12._o 26._o this_o will_v make_v a_o but_o man_n mercy_n be_v capable_a of_o be_v abuse_v and_o ill-requited_n as_o well_o as_o any_o other_o virtue_n otherwise_o our_o saviour_n will_v have_v be_v more_o kind_o treat_v than_o he_o be_v do_v not_o depend_v upon_o so_o many_o casualty_n and_o such_o uncertain_a supposition_n as_o the_o other_o here_o it_o be_v only_o require_v that_o mercy_n and_o truth_n meet_v together_o and_o conceive_v these_o two_o general_a way_n of_o disturb_v the_o peace_n of_o the_o church_n either_o by_o impose_v unlawful_a or_o unreasonable_a term_n of_o communion_n or_o by_o refuse_v to_o comply_v with_o such_o as_o be_v lawful_a and_o reasonable_a that_o the_o first_o of_o these_o be_v a_o breach_n of_o the_o church_n peace_n there_o can_v be_v no_o doubt_n because_o it_o introduce_v a_o necessity_n of_o separation_n and_o that_o the_o latter_a be_v so_o be_v as_o plain_a because_o it_o be_v a_o separation_n without_o any_o necessity_n for_o for_o it_o either_o of_o these_o be_v schism_n who_o notion_n as_o all_o agree_v consist_v either_o in_o make_v a_o necessity_n of_o separation_n or_o in_o separate_n without_o necessity_n the_o first_o of_o these_o will_v fall_v heavy_a only_o demand_v do_v they_o live_v peaceable_o with_o the_o church_n as_o far_o as_o be_v possible_a and_o as_o much_o as_o in_o they_o lie_v they_o can_v with_o any_o modesty_n say_v that_o they_o do_v for_o if_o they_o do_v not_o to_o say_v that_o they_o may_v come_v much_o near_a to_o we_o than_o they_o do_v they_o must_v of_o necessity_n conform_v with_o we_o since_o as_o they_o be_v never_o able_a to_o show_v any_o thing_n unlawful_a in_o our_o communion_n so_o they_o now_o general_o allow_v it_o to_o be_v lawful_a and_o according_o will_n afford_v we_o their_o company_n now_o and_o then_o upon_o occasion_n as_o often_o as_o they_o think_v fit_a to_o do_v we_o that_o honour_n well_o then_o if_o our_o communion_n be_v lawful_a then_o it_o be_v possible_a for_o they_o to_o communicate_v with_o we_o and_o if_o they_o do_v not_o then_o it_o be_v plain_a that_o they_o do_v not_o live_v peaceable_o with_o we_o as_o far_o as_o be_v possible_a and_o as_o much_o as_o in_o they_o lie_v and_o consequent_o by_o virtue_n of_o this_o plain_a apostolical_a canon_n stand_v full_o convict_v of_o schism_n and_o let_v they_o bring_v themselves_o off_o if_o they_o can_v i_o be_o satisfy_v they_o will_v be_v able_a to_o answer_v it_o but_o ill_o here_o and_o be_o afraid_a worse_o hereafter_o i_o have_v now_o in_o general_n point_v out_o the_o disturber_n of_o the_o christian_a which_o not_o to_o insist_v upon_o the_o heinousness_n of_o the_o sin_n of_o schism_n which_o be_v as_o express_o forbid_v in_o scripture_n as_o murder_n or_o adultery_n and_o the_o great_a obligation_n that_o lie_v upon_o all_o christian_n to_o preserve_v the_o unity_n and_o peace_n of_o the_o church_n which_o the_o scripture_n every_o where_o so_o earnest_o press_v and_o inculcate_n and_o which_o the_o example_n of_o the_o primitive_a christian_n so_o strong_o recommend_v and_o for_o which_o both_o our_o reason_n and_o our_o interest_n especial_o at_o this_o time_n will_v suggest_v to_o we_o a_o thousand_o argument_n i_o say_v not_o to_o insist_v upon_o these_o and_o such_o like_a consideration_n for_o a_o combination_n of_o which_o i_o refer_v to_o a_o excellent_a mahometan_a first_o with_o respect_n to_o the_o heathen_a to_o who_o as_o the_o unity_n and_o agreement_n of_o the_o first_o christian_n be_v a_o great_a indearment_n and_o a_o very_a prevalent_a invitation_n so_o as_o to_o occasion_v that_o common_a speech_n among_o they_o see_v how_o the_o christian_n love_v one_o another_o so_o the_o schism_n and_o division_n of_o the_o present_a christian_n must_v needs_o be_v a_o great_a scandal_n and_o objection_n for_o indeed_o how_o can_v any_o consider_v heathen_a be_v persuade_v to_o think_v such_o a_o break_a and_o divide_v religion_n to_o be_v of_o divine_a revelation_n when_o that_o which_o he_o take_v to_o by_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n have_v more_o of_o unity_n and_o consent_n second_o with_o respect_n to_o the_o jew_n who_o may_v certain_o number_v the_o dissension_n of_o christian_n among_o the_o great_a hindrance_n of_o his_o conversion_n for_o when_o in_o the_o prophetic_a write_n among_o other_o character_n of_o the_o time_n of_o the_o messiah_n he_o shall_v find_v this_o to_o be_v one_o and_o one_o of_o the_o chief_a that_o it_o shall_v be_v a_o reign_n of_o charity_n and_o peace_n isa_n 2._o 4._o that_o they_o shall_v beat_v their_o sword_n into_o plowshare_n and_o their_o spear_n into_o pruning-hook_n that_o nation_n shall_v not_o lift_v up_o sword_n against_o nation_n neither_o shall_v they_o learn_v war_n any_o more_o that_o the_o wolf_n shall_v also_o dwell_v with_o the_o lamb_n and_o the_o leopard_n shall_v lie_v down_o with_o the_o kid_n etc._n etc._n i_o say_v the_o jew_n find_v this_o to_o be_v one_o of_o the_o characteristic_o of_o the_o messiah_n his_o reign_n and_o observe_v withal_o nothing_o like_o it_o in_o the_o christian_a state_n but_o rather_o a_o perfect_a the_o question_n will_v be_v about_o the_o consequence_n of_o his_o argument_n whether_o actual_a assent_n from_o every_o individual_a be_v necessary_a to_o the_o supposition_n of_o innate_a principle_n or_o in_o other_o word_n whether_o from_o there_o not_o be_v any_o proposition_n to_o which_o every_o individual_a man_n give_v a_o actual_a assent_n it_o follow_v that_o there_o be_v no_o
