the_o will_v never_o or_o seldom_o to_o will_v that_o which_o be_v true_o good_a the_o affection_n never_o or_o seldom_o to_o be_v move_v at_o god_n word_n or_o work_n thus_o it_o go_v over_o the_o whole_a soul_n and_o cast_v it_o in_o a_o dead_a sleep_n so_o as_o it_o be_v altogether_o unfit_a to_o go_v about_o the_o action_n of_o a_o heavenly_a life_n example_n hereof_o we_o have_v in_o the_o old_a world_n they_o eat_v and_o drink_v etc._n etc._n and_o know_v nothing_o till_o the_o flood_n come_v they_o dream_v continual_o of_o many_o other_o thing_n but_o never_o of_o their_o own_o destruction_n dives_fw-la also_o be_v cast_v on_o such_o a_o sleep_n he_o fâ—red_v delicious_o every_o day_n he_o never_o think_v of_o heaven_n for_o he_o be_v never_o to_o come_v there_o nor_o of_o hell_n fire_n till_o he_o feel_v the_o flame_n this_o spiritual_a sleep_n be_v three-foldâ—_a first_o the_o natural_a sleep_n of_o heart_n by_o which_o every_o one_o be_v overtake_v so_o as_o by_o nature_n no_o man_n can_v so_o much_o as_o move_v himself_o to_o the_o least_o good_a till_o god_n awake_v he_o and_o say_v to_o he_o awake_v thou_o that_o sleep_v and_o stand_v up_o from_o the_o dead_a 5.14_o the_o second_o sleep_n be_v a_o slumber_n and_o indeed_o the_o remainder_n of_o this_o natural_a sleep_n in_o the_o child_n of_o god_n be_v awaken_v out_o of_o their_o dead_a sleep_n feeling_n and_o altogether_o senseless_a through_o continuance_n in_o sin_n ephes._n 4.19_o this_o last_o kind_n be_v that_o which_o be_v attribute_v here_o to_o these_o deceiver_n for_o so_o the_o word_n notwithstanding_o import_v for_o although_o they_o know_v the_o judgement_n of_o god_n against_o sin_n yet_o they_o be_v senseless_a and_o careless_a in_o the_o midst_n of_o they_o now_o in_o heart_n and_o conceive_v in_o a_o corrupt_a mind_n which_o in_o the_o end_n deceive_v and_o delude_v man_n no_o otherwise_o than_o a_o dream_n which_o while_o a_o man_n sleep_v seem_v to_o have_v some_o truth_n in_o it_o but_o as_o soon_o as_o one_o awake_v it_o vanish_v away_o and_o indeed_o have_v in_o it_o nothing_o less_o a_o example_n whereof_o we_o have_v in_o the_o rich_a man_n luk._n 12.19_o who_o in_o his_o fullness_n and_o increase_n of_o riches_n dream_v of_o a_o happiness_n and_o a_o continuance_n in_o it_o many_o year_n when_o that_o night_n his_o soul_n be_v take_v away_o their_o sin_n and_o turn_v unto_o god_n and_o that_o be_v because_o man_n be_v dreamer_n be_v cast_v and_o lull_v asleep_a in_o their_o sin_n and_o therein_o delude_v with_o many_o false_a imagination_n which_o draw_v they_o from_o god_n as_o first_o wake_v some_o plead_v that_o they_o be_v never_o book_n learn_v they_o can_v never_o write_v nor_o read_v therefore_o they_o must_v be_v excuse_v in_o their_o ignorance_n as_o not_o be_v bind_v to_o know_v the_o word_n of_o god_n they_o need_v not_o frequent_v so_o many_o sermon_n or_o if_o they_o do_v they_o be_v not_o great_o to_o care_n to_o carry_v they_o away_o second_o other_o dream_v that_o because_o they_o have_v live_v thus_o long_o and_o yet_o have_v never_o any_o such_o cross_n as_o they_o see_v befall_v other_o therefore_o they_o be_v most_o happy_a man_n and_o god_n love_v they_o they_o find_v the_o blessing_n of_o god_n upon_o they_o in_o every_o thing_n and_o therefore_o they_o serve_v god_n well_o whole_a word_n of_o god_n and_o all_o religion_n that_o look_n as_o sarah_n do_v not_o so_o much_o regard_v the_o promise_n as_o she_o ought_v to_o have_v do_v because_o she_o take_v it_o for_o a_o dream_n and_o make_v a_o matter_n of_o laughter_n of_o it_o gen._n 18.12_o and_o as_o those_o who_o be_v reduce_v from_o the_o captivity_n of_o babylon_n entertain_v the_o promise_n of_o their_o return_n but_o as_o a_o dream_n by_o their_o own_o confession_n psal._n 126._o and_o peter_n when_o he_o be_v deliver_v by_o the_o angel_n out_o of_o prison_n can_v not_o be_v persuade_v that_o it_o be_v so_o but_o that_o he_o have_v see_v a_o vision_n or_o dream_v a_o dream_n act._n 12.9_o even_o so_o man_n hold_v the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n but_o as_o a_o dream_n see_v they_o can_v the_o devil_n have_v turn_v all_o their_o religion_n and_o doctrine_n into_o a_o natural_a doctrine_n &_o religion_n the_o main_a point_n whereof_o be_v ground_v upon_o natural_a reason_n and_o the_o learning_n and_o philosophy_n of_o the_o heathen_a and_o gentile_n as_o justification_n by_o work_n merit_n purgatory_n with_o the_o rest_n other_o not_o a_o few_o among_o ourselves_o also_o be_v delude_v by_o this_o subtlety_n of_o satan_n who_o suffer_v many_o man_n to_o live_v civil_o and_o honest_o among_o their_o neighbour_n but_o will_v not_o brook_v that_o they_o rise_v any_o high_a
