precedent_n treatise_n and_o therefore_o we_o may_v well_o suppose_v that_o they_o be_v the_o peculiar_a punishment_n of_o man_n sin_n second_o i_o will_v speak_v of_o man_n condition_n in_o general_a only_a action_n or_o passion_n in_o man_n so_o more_o be_v not_o require_v in_o man_n save_v only_o the_o two_o several_a fountain_n of_o action_n or_o passion_n then_o let_v i_o spare_v myself_o a_o needless_a and_o unprofitable_a labour_n for_o the_o whole_a world_n do_v ever_o acknowledge_v in_o man_n as_o in_o all_o other_o creature_n matter_n and_o form_n i_o will_v therefore_o lay_v down_o this_o as_o a_o groundwork_n or_o supposition_n that_o man_n consist_v of_o two_o part_n a_o body_n sensible_a material_a corruptible_a and_o a_o soul_n soul_n intelligent_a spiritual_a and_o incorruptible_a for_o his_o body_n i_o will_v refer_v he_o to_o the_o trial_n of_o all_o your_o seâ—ses_n that_o he_o be_v no_o shadow_n or_o fantasy_n but_o real_o consist_v of_o a_o true_a body_n and_o such_o a_o body_n as_o tend_v to_o corruption_n if_o any_o man_n doubt_n of_o it_o i_o can_v wish_v that_o his_o passport_n be_v make_v that_o with_o the_o whip_n and_o the_o scourge_n he_o may_v be_v convey_v to_o golgotha_n where_o he_o shall_v find_v skull_n of_o all_o size_n for_o his_o soul_n that_o it_o be_v intelligent_a not_o guide_v or_o carry_v by_o the_o stream_n of_o nature_n as_o a_o dumb_a beast_n but_o able_a to_o discourse_v to_o gather_v one_o truth_n from_o another_o contain_v in_o itself_o the_o seed_n of_o all_o knowledge_n if_o any_o man_n seem_v to_o deny_v this_o i_o will_v not_o argue_v or_o convince_v he_o by_o reason_n for_o he_o be_v not_o capable_a of_o a_o reasonable_a discourse_n but_o for_o his_o punishment_n i_o will_v rank_n he_o in_o the_o grow_v young_a again_o not_o in_o year_n but_o in_o affection_n there_o be_v no_o difference_n between_o the_o toy_n and_o fondness_n of_o youth_n and_o the_o forgetfulness_n and_o dotage_n of_o age_n body_n part_n shall_v have_v the_o great_a reference_n to_o themselves_o as_o want_v each_o other_o help_n and_o support_v each_o other_o so_o that_o it_o stand_v with_o the_o wisdom_n and_o intention_n of_o nature_n in_o the_o beginning_n to_o fit_v and_o to_o square_v they_o one_o for_o the_o other_o so_o that_o the_o body_n in_o reason_n shall_v further_o the_o action_n of_o the_o
