and_o 95.4_o for_o the_o second_o question_n concern_v wicked_a man_n and_o their_o relish_v of_o the_o sweetness_n of_o the_o word_n i_o say_v two_o thing_n first_o that_o the_o most_o wicked_a man_n be_v without_o spiritual_a sense_n and_o find_v no_o more_o taste_n in_o god_n or_o his_o word_n than_o in_o the_o white_a of_o a_o egg_n they_o savour_v not_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o spirit_n rom._n christ_n and_o the_o word_n too_o etc._n etc._n three_o in_o the_o manner_n of_o taste_v for_o wicked_a man_n may_v taste_v of_o the_o gospel_n and_o religion_n by_o sense_n or_o by_o a_o dim_a kind_n of_o contemplation_n or_o by_o a_o sudden_a illumination_n as_o by_o a_o flash_n of_o lightning_n but_o they_o can_v taste_v with_o their_o heart_n clear_o by_o faith_n or_o thus_o wicked_a man_n may_v in_o the_o general_a taste_n that_o be_v know_v and_o believe_v that_o the_o mystery_n of_o christ_n be_v true_a but_o they_o can_v taste_v or_o know_v this_o mystery_n with_o particular_a and_o sound_a application_n as_o they_o four_o in_o the_o ground_n of_o this_o taste_n or_o delight_n for_o a_o wicked_a man_n persuade_v by_o false_a reason_n settle_v in_o the_o common_a hope_n or_o transport_v with_o a_o high_a conceit_n of_o some_o temporary_a and_o common_a gift_n and_o grace_n may_v be_v much_o delight_v and_o joy_v in_o the_o word_n and_o the_o thought_n of_o go_v to_o the_o gift_n of_o the_o mind_n the_o withhold_a of_o the_o gospel_n the_o deliver_v of_o man_n up_o to_o the_o power_n of_o satan_n or_o to_o the_o love_n of_o lie_n terror_n of_o despair_n or_o take_v of_o offence_n of_o which_o late_a in_o this_o place_n now_o reason_n these_o spiritual_a judgement_n be_v much_o worse_a than_o any_o of_o the_o former_a temporal_a cross_n first_o because_o these_o judgement_n light_a upon_o the_o best_a part_n of_o man_n which_o be_v the_o soul_n and_o by_o how_o much_o the_o soul_n be_v better_a than_o the_o body_n by_o so_o much_o it_o be_v worse_a to_o be_v distress_v in_o soul_n than_o in_o body_n second_o because_o they_o withhold_v from_o we_o the_o best_a good_a which_o be_v god_n or_o christ_n now_o that_o which_o straighten_v we_o in_o the_o best_a thing_n

must_v needs_o be_v the_o worst_a kind_n of_o restraint_n three_o because_o these_o cross_n be_v more_o hardly_o cure_v it_o be_v much_o easy_a to_o heal_v a_o sickness_n in_o the_o body_n than_o a_o madness_n of_o multitude_n of_o people_n in_o the_o world_n that_o can_v be_v extreme_o vex_v and_o grieve_v for_o worldly_a cross_n yet_o have_v no_o sense_n or_o care_n of_o spiritual_a judgement_n they_o howl_v upon_o their_o bed_n if_o god_n take_v from_o they_o corn_n or_o wine_n or_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o field_n but_o never_o grieve_v if_o god_n take_v the_o gospel_n from_o they_o they_o be_v much_o trouble_v if_o they_o lose_v the_o favour_n of_o their_o great_a friend_n but_o never_o mourn_v because_o god_n have_v forsake_v they_o they_o be_v very_o impatient_a if_o their_o body_n be_v sick_a and_o yet_o very_o quiet_a if_o their_o soul_n be_v sick_a they_o will_v think_v themselves_o undo_v if_o they_o be_v carry_v to_o prison_n who_o yet_o be_v not_o much_o move_v at_o it_o 7.1_o doct._n 4._o the_o four_o doctrine_n be_v that_o we_o be_v cure_v by_o christ_n stripe_n his_o suffering_n heal_v our_o sorrow_n his_o wound_n make_v we_o whole_a his_o sickness_n offer_v we_o health_n and_o his_o stripe_n heal_v we_o partly_o by_o satisfy_v for_o our_o sin_n and_o so_o remove_v the_o cause_n of_o our_o disease_n both_o spiritual_a and_o corporal_a and_o partly_o by_o a_o yea_o further_o it_o shall_v encourage_v we_o to_o suffer_v any_o thing_n for_o christ_n and_o the_o rather_o because_o we_o have_v not_o resist_v to_o stripe_n or_o blood_n nor_o can_v now_o suffer_v the_o thousand_o part_n for_o he_o of_o that_o he_o have_v suffer_v for_o us._n thus_o of_o the_o heal_n of_o our_o soul_n these_o word_n also_o may_v be_v expound_v of_o the_o heal_n of_o our_o body_n as_o we_o show_v before_o and_o so_o the_o like_a doctrine_n may_v be_v observe_v as_o doct._n 1._o that_o the_o body_n of_o all_o man_n by_o nature_n need_v heal_v for_o sin_n have_v bring_v world_n be_v every_o where_o full_a of_o occasion_n of_o sickness_n or_o if_o there_o be_v not_o outward_a mean_n to_o work_v they_o yet_o god_n can_v strike_v man_n from_o heaven_n use_v the_o use_n shall_v be_v to_o warn_v such_o as_o be_v in_o health_n to_o walk_v humble_o for_o they_o know_v not_o how_o soon_o sickness_n may_v seize_v upon_o they_o second_o such_o as_o have_v their_o friend_n shall_v be_v to_o take_v warning_n from_o these_o pain_n of_o the_o body_n to_o prevent_v eternal_a pain_n in_o hell_n by_o reconcile_n ourselves_o to_o that_o god_n that_o can_v so_o fearful_o soul_n in_o christ_n our_o body_n may_v be_v heal_v christ_n provide_v heal_v for_o man_n body_n as_o well_o as_o for_o his_o soul_n and_o man_n body_n he_o heal_v either_o in_o this_o life_n or_o in_o the_o general_a resurrection_n first_o in_o this_o life_n some_o he_o have_v heal_v by_o miracle_n as_o he_o do_v multitude_n in_o the_o day_n of_o his_o flesh_n while_o he_o be_v here_o in_o this_o world_n which_o he_o do_v in_o execution_n of_o his_o office_n as_o have_v charge_n of_o man_n body_n and_o some_o he_o heal_v by_o mean_n give_v his_o blessing_n unto_o the_o medicine_n provide_v in_o nature_n and_o apply_v by_o the_o skilful_a to_o the_o disease_a yea_o he_o undertake_v the_o heal_n of_o all_o god_n elect_v in_o their_o body_n as_o this_o place_n import_v which_o he_o do_v promise_v and_o will_v perform_v if_o it_o be_v good_a for_o they_o many_o time_n to_o heal_v the_o body_n will_v hurt_v the_o soul_n or_o keep_v the_o leper_n from_o heaven_n and_o then_o christ_n will_v not_o heal_v they_o else_o he_o undertake_v and_o be_v bind_v

to_o heal_v the_o body_n as_o well_o as_o the_o soul_n but_o the_o especial_a heal_n be_v at_o the_o resurrection_n when_o all_o the_o body_n of_o the_o saint_n shall_v be_v heal_v perfect_o of_o all_o disease_n and_o free_v from_o the_o very_a disposition_n yea_o the_o very_a possibility_n to_o have_v any_o disease_n use_v 1_o the_o use_n shall_v be_v for_o great_a comfort_n to_o the_o godly_a when_o they_o be_v distress_v they_o may_v and_o aught_o to_o look_v up_o to_o christ_n and_o say_v if_o it_o be_v good_a for_o i_o my_o saviour_n will_v heal_v i_o and_o the_o rather_o
