bless_v god_n who_o will_v guide_v they_o through_o this_o storm_n to_o a_o safe_a harbour_n doct._n 6._o it_o be_v not_o only_o a_o cause_n but_o another_o humble_v fruit_n of_o terror_n also_o that_o the_o soul_n can_v find_v no_o welfare_n where_o they_o be_v for_o say_v he_o my_o welfare_n pass_v away_o where_o by_o his_o welfare_n we_o be_v to_o understand_v especial_o his_o health_n and_o prosperity_n as_o it_o be_v very_o suitable_a that_o all_o thing_n look_v sad_a and_o desolate_a upon_o a_o child_n of_o god_n when_o god_n seem_v to_o be_v a_o terror_n so_o here_o we_o may_v also_o observe_v the_o emptiness_n and_o vanity_n of_o all_o worldly_a contentment_n which_o will_v fail_v we_o when_o we_o have_v most_o need_n and_o when_o god_n come_v to_o deal_v in_o severity_n with_o we_o only_o we_o ought_v to_o be_v careful_a even_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o terror_n to_o observe_v and_o acknowledge_v the_o mercy_n that_o be_v continue_v with_o we_o and_o not_o to_o undervalue_v they_o 7._o when_o terror_n get_v place_n and_o prevail_v upon_o man_n ordinary_o there_o be_v a_o little_a hope_n of_o what_o be_v to_o come_v as_o there_o be_v contentment_n in_o what_o be_v present_a for_o job_n look_v upon_o his_o welfare_n not_o only_o as_o pass_v away_o and_o go_v for_o the_o present_a but_o that_o it_o be_v pass_v away_o as_o a_o cloud_n which_o be_v once_o scatter_v can_v promise_v no_o rain_n for_o the_o future_a man_n fear_n and_o terror_n do_v not_o only_o make_v they_o a_o sad_a life_n for_o present_a but_o do_v bring_v up_o a_o ill_a report_n of_o toss_a condition_n account_v his_o former_a prosperous_a and_o healthful_a condition_n his_o welfare_n or_o salvation_n and_o it_o be_v true_a it_o be_v a_o great_a mercy_n which_o he_o former_o enjoy_v yet_o probable_o in_o this_o his_o distress_n he_o esteem_v more_o high_o of_o it_o then_o when_o he_o do_v enjoy_v it_o and_o that_o add_v to_o his_o trouble_n but_o we_o shall_v learn_v to_o live_v without_o all_o that_o which_o god_n be_v please_v to_o take_v from_o we_o and_o shall_v reckon_v that_o to_o be_v our_o welfare_n which_o we_o have_v whatever_o it_o be_v if_o we_o guide_v and_o improve_v it_o well_o 2._o when_o their_o expectation_n be_v too_o much_o fix_v upon_o the_o thing_n of_o time_n and_o upon_o recovery_n out_o of_o trouble_n for_o sometime_o his_o condition_n look_v like_o a_o cloud_n promise_v rain_n so_o that_o when_o it_o pass_v away_o the_o disappointment_n render_v his_o condition_n the_o sad_a sober_a expectation_n will_v free_v we_o of_o much_o his_o sympathy_n that_o he_o go_v mourn_v for_o the_o affliction_n of_o other_o and_o that_o so_o uncomfortable_o as_o if_o the_o sun_n have_v never_o shine_v upon_o he_o and_o so_o serious_o that_o he_o continue_v it_o in_o the_o night_n when_o the_o sun_n be_v down_o and_o that_o though_o he_o be_v now_o forsake_v of_o all_o yet_o he_o never_o meet_v with_o company_n or_o assembly_n of_o people_n but_o he_o complain_v of_o the_o sorrow_n of_o other_o yet_o it_o be_v more_o clear_a to_o understand_v it_o as_o another_o evidence_n of_o the_o sad_a change_n of_o his_o condition_n and_o in_o this_o sense_n some_o understand_v the_o first_o part_n of_o the_o verse_n thus_o that_o he_o be_v black_a and_o his_o skin_n parch_a and_o burn_v up_o with_o trouble_n though_o without_o the_o sun_n or_o albeit_o the_o sun_n do_v not_o scorch_v he_o as_o it_o contribute_v to_o make_v people_n black_a in_o hot_a climate_n but_o this_o interpretation_n do_v not_o suit_n with_o his_o walk_a mourning_n or_o in_o black_a as_o it_o be_v here_o express_v and_o withal_o that_o of_o the_o blackness_n of_o his_o skin_n be_v express_o mention_v afterward_o v._o 30._o therefore_o i_o take_v job_n about_o he_o to_o behold_v he_o he_o behove_v to_o cry_v out_o of_o his_o sorrow_n before_o they_o all_o whereas_o gravity_n modesty_n and_o natural_a courage_n will_v have_v prompt_v he_o to_o keep_v silence_n if_o it_o have_v be_v possible_a doct._n 1._o the_o sense_n of_o god_n afflict_v hand_n will_v cause_v man_n and_o even_o stout_a man_n mourn_v and_o cry_v and_o walk_v in_o a_o mournful_a posture_n for_o so_o it_o be_v with_o job_n here_o see_v ps_n 42.9_o and_o 43.2_o 2._o common_a comfort_n such_o as_o the_o light_n of_o the_o sun_n night_n rest_n company_n etc._n etc._n will_v prove_v but_o poor_a cordial_n to_o person_n in_o trouble_n whatever_o lawful_a use_n may_v be_v make_v of_o they_o to_o divert_v or_o abate_v the_o violence_n of_o trouble_n for_o job_n go_v mourn_v can_v so_o universal_o reach_v man_n body_n that_o no_o part_n shall_v be_v free_a of_o a_o stroke_n for_o both_o his_o skin_n and_o bone_n be_v affect_v here_o verse_n 31._o my_o harp_n also_o be_v advantage_n of_o age_n above_o youth_n be_v in_o the_o matter_n of_o wisdom_n gather_v by_o study_n and_o experience_n and_o in_o the_o cool_n of_o their_o heat_n and_o passion_n which_o usual_o represent_v thing_n to_o man_n through_o false_a perspective_n for_o this_o be_v the_o advantage_n intimate_v here_o on_o his_o own_o part_n he_o be_v afraid_a and_o dare_v not_o show_v his_o opinion_n consider_v that_o he_o be_v young_a and_o they_o old_a not_o only_o be_v he_o afraid_a lest_o he_o shall_v go_v without_o the_o bound_n of_o his_o station_n in_o offer_v to_o speak_v
