take_v we_o off_o very_o much_o from_o the_o frequent_a and_o vigorous_a act_n of_o a_o divine_a life_n which_o be_v the_o true_a happiness_n of_o a_o reasonable_a soul_n but_o then_o these_o mortal_a body_n be_v expose_v to_o great_a want_n and_o suffering_n bad_a man_n be_v injurious_a and_o meekness_n and_o patience_n and_o such_o tame_a and_o gentle_a virtue_n encourage_v their_o injury_n nay_o true_a piety_n and_o religion_n itself_o may_v be_v the_o cause_n and_o reason_n of_o our_o suffering_n and_o when_o the_o body_n suffer_v the_o soul_n suffer_v with_o it_o and_o this_o stifle_v the_o present_a pleasure_n and_o satisfaction_n of_o virtue_n and_o nothing_o can_v support_v the_o spirit_n of_o good_a man_n under_o such_o suffering_n but_o the_o future_a expectation_n of_o great_a reward_n so_o that_o in_o this_o state_n virtue_n alone_o be_v not_o a_o sufficient_a reward_n to_o itself_o for_o either_o its_o pleasure_n be_v but_o faint_a and_o languid_a or_o its_o suffering_n overbalance_n its_o pleasure_n but_o yet_o if_o we_o will_v but_o suppose_v a_o good_a man_n remove_v into_o such_o a_o state_n where_o virtue_n and_o piety_n will_v have_v its_o free_a unrestrained_a undisturbed_a exercise_n and_o can_v produce_v its_o natural_a effect_n without_o any_o hindrance_n and_o interruption_n than_o it_o be_v demonstrable_a that_o piety_n and_o virtue_n must_v make_v man_n happy_a and_o this_o secure_v the_o happiness_n of_o good_a man_n when_o ever_o they_o remove_v out_o of_o these_o body_n and_o out_o of_o this_o world_n when_o these_o body_n and_o this_o nature_n of_o vice_n be_v such_o as_o to_o make_v a_o reasonable_a creature_n miserable_a but_o yet_o a_o great_a prosperity_n in_o this_o world_n and_o a_o confluence_n of_o all_o sensual_a enjoyment_n may_v at_o present_a palliate_v and_o dissemble_v or_o suspend_v these_o malignant_a influence_n of_o a_o vicious_a nature_n may_v make_v man_n unsensible_a of_o the_o want_n of_o true_a rational_a and_o divine_a pleasure_n or_o of_o the_o pain_n and_o disturbance_n of_o sinful_a passion_n may_v bind_v up_o our_o reason_n and_o conscience_n and_o give_v such_o a_o empire_n and_o predominancy_n to_o sense_n that_o we_o can_v neither_o understand_v nor_o relish_v any_o other_o pleasure_n but_o those_o of_o the_o body_n and_o think_v ourselves_o complete_o happy_a while_o we_o have_v these_o but_o if_o we_o will_v suppose_v such_o man_n strip_v of_o flesh_n and_o sense_n thrust_v out_o of_o these_o body_n and_o out_o of_o this_o world_n and_o there_o be_v a_o end_n of_o their_o sensual_a happiness_n and_o a_o sensualized_a soul_n be_v capable_a of_o no_o other_o and_o when_o all_o other_o object_n be_v remove_v and_o such_o sinful_a and_o distemper_a mind_n be_v bring_v acquaint_v with_o themselves_o when_o the_o virtue_n of_o these_o opiate_n be_v spend_v and_o the_o soul_n recover_v its_o sense_n again_o than_o every_o vicious_a passion_n prove_v a_o fury_n then_o gild_n and_o shame_n and_o fear_n and_o despair_n and_o rage_a remorse_n act_v their_o several_a tragedy_n in_o such_o a_o miserable_a soul_n this_o be_v the_o true_a nature_n of_o sinful_a
