which_o we_o feed_v together_o with_o our_o nourishment_n the_o truth_n whereof_o empedocles_n make_v manifest_a who_o by_o shut_v up_o a_o great_a gulf_n of_o the_o earth_n open_v in_o a_o valley_n otherwise_o then_o those_o disease_n which_o arise_v in_o the_o plague_n time_n the_o putrid_a disease_n in_o our_o body_n which_o at_o the_o first_o want_v virulency_n and_o contagion_n as_o ulcer_n putrid_a fever_n and_o other_o such_o disease_n raise_v by_o the_o peculiar_a default_n of_o the_o humour_n easy_o degenerate_a into_o pestilence_n present_o receive_v the_o tainture_n of_o the_o plague_n to_o which_o they_o have_v before_o a_o certain_a preparation_n wherefore_o in_o time_n of_o the_o plague_n i_o will_v advise_v all_o man_n to_o shun_v such_o exceed_a stink_a place_n as_o and_o degenerate_v and_o be_v change_v from_o its_o native_a purity_n and_o simplicity_n but_o certain_o among_o all_o the_o constitution_n of_o the_o air_n fit_a to_o receive_v a_o pestilent_a corruption_n there_o be_v none_o more_o fit_a than_o a_o hot_a moist_a and_o still_o season_n for_o the_o excess_n of_o such_o quality_n easy_o cause_v putrefaction_n wherefore_o the_o south_n wind_n reign_v which_o be_v hot_a and_o moist_a and_o principal_o in_o place_n near_o the_o sea_n there_o flesh_n can_v long_o be_v keep_v but_o it_o present_o be_v taint_v and_o corrupt_v further_o we_o must_v know_v that_o the_o pestilent_a malignity_n which_o rise_v from_o the_o carcase_n or_o body_n of_o man_n be_v more_o easy_o communicate_v to_o man_n that_o which_o rise_v from_o ox_n to_o ox_n bring_v in_o the_o seed_n of_o the_o plague_n and_o so_o consequent_o the_o plague_n itself_o into_o body_n prepare_v and_o make_v ready_a to_o receive_v it_o chap._n four_o of_o the_o preparation_n admixture_n of_o corrupt_a matter_n and_o evil_a juice_n which_o ill_a feed_n do_v special_o cause_n to_o abound_v in_o the_o body_n for_o the_o plague_n often_o follow_v the_o drink_n of_o dead_a and_o musty_a wine_n muddy_a and_o stand_a water_n which_o receive_v the_o sink_v and_o filth_n of_o a_o city_n and_o fruit_n and_o pull_v eat_v without_o discretion_n in_o scarcity_n of_o other_o corn_n as_o pease_n beanes_n
