true_o restrain_v and_o sanctify_a grace_n be_v for_o all_o the_o world_n like_o frost_n and_o sun_n the_o way_n of_o those_o who_o have_v only_o a_o restraint_n lay_v upon_o they_o may_v be_v altogether_o as_o fair_a and_o clean_o as_o the_o way_n of_o those_o that_o be_v sanctify_v be_v but_o there_o be_v a_o great_a difference_n in_o the_o cause_n sanctify_v grace_n dry_v up_o the_o filth_n and_o corruption_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o one_o but_o restrain_v grace_n only_o freze_v in_o and_o bind_v up_o the_o filth_n and_o corruption_n of_o the_o other_o second_o life_n of_o thy_o vain_a thought_n and_o of_o thy_o idle_a word_n or_o thou_o must_v for_o ever_o perish_v under_o they_o four_o if_o there_o be_v so_o great_a evil_n and_o use_v 4_o danger_n in_o little_a of_o sin_n those_o moment_n every_o one_o of_o which_o bring_v fresh_a gild_n upon_o â—s_n will_v not_o slide_v away_o so_o pleasant_o with_o we_o as_o they_o do_v but_o because_o our_o sin_n seem_v small_a to_o we_o we_o regard_v they_o not_o and_o so_o our_o time_n waste_v and_o our_o gild_n increase_v till_o eternity_n put_v a_o period_n anâ—_n full_a end_n to_o those_o sin_n to_o which_o struggle_v against_o sinful_a propension_n and_o inclination_n there_o shall_v it_o be_v eternal_o fix_v and_o confirm_v not_o only_o in_o glory_n but_o in_o holiness_n also_o we_o shall_v there_o be_v out_o of_o the_o reach_n of_o satan_n temptation_n we_o read_v indeed_o that_o sometime_o the_o devil_n appear_v before_o god_n as_o a_o accuser_n but_o we_o never_o read_v that_o he_o come_v punishment_n of_o it_o god_n have_v two_o end_n with_o respect_n of_o himself_o for_o which_o he_o bring_v punishment_n upon_o we_o the_o one_o be_v the_o manifestation_n of_o his_o holiness_n the_o other_o be_v for_o the_o satisfaction_n of_o his_o justice_n and_o according_o as_o any_o affliction_n tend_v to_o either_o of_o these_o end_n so_o be_v it_o proper_o a_o punishment_n or_o bare_o a_o fatherly_a chastisement_n if_o god_n intend_v by_o the_o affliction_n he_o lay_v upon_o thou_o the_o satisfaction_n of_o his_o justice_n than_o thy_o affliction_n be_v proper_o punishment_n and_o they_o flow_v from_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n but_o if_o the_o manifestation_n of_o his_o holiness_n be_v all_o he_o intend_v by_o they_o then_o be_v they_o only_o fatherly_a correction_n proceed_v from_o love_n and_o mercy_n first_o those_o who_o sin_n god_n have_v pardon_v he_o may_v afflict_v for_o the_o declaration_n of_o his_o holiness_n that_o they_o may_v see_v and_o know_v what_o a_o holy_a god_n they_o have_v to_o deal_v with_o who_o so_o perfect_o hate_v sin_n that_o he_o will_v follow_v it_o with_o chastisement_n even_o upon_o those_o who_o his_o free_a grace_n have_v pardon_v second_o god_n inflict_v no_o chastisement_n upon_o those_o who_o he_o have_v pardon_v for_o the_o satisfaction_n of_o his_o justice_n and_o therefore_o they_o be_v not_o curse_n nor_o proper_o punishment_n but_o only_a correction_n and_o fatherly_a chastisement_n christ_n have_v satisfy_v the_o demand_n of_o justice_n for_o their_o sin_n and_o god_n be_v more_o just_a than_o to_o exact_v double_a satisfaction_n for_o the_o same_o offence_n one_o in_o christ_n punishment_n and_o another_o in_o they_o the_o apostle_n tell_v we_o gal._n 3.13_o christ_n have_v redeem_a we_o from_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n be_v make_v a_o curse_n for_o we_o it_o be_v not_o the_o evil_n that_o we_o suffer_v that_o make_v they_o curse_n or_o punishment_n be_v they_o never_o so_o great_a but_o only_o the_o ordination_n of_o these_o evil_n to_o the_o satisfaction_n of_o divine_a justice_n upon_o we_o and_o therefore_o christ_n in_o scripture_n be_v say_v to_o be_v make_v a_o curse_n not_o simple_o because_o he_o suffer_v but_o because_o he_o be_v adjudge_v to_o his_o suffering_n that_o thereby_o satisfaction_n may_v be_v make_v unto_o the_o justice_n of_o god_n hence_o therefore_o with_o what_o calmness_n and_o peace_n may_v a_o pardon_v sinner_n look_v upon_o any_o affliction_n though_o they_o be_v sore_o and_o heavy_a though_o they_o seem_v to_o carry_v much_o of_o god_n anger_n in_o they_o yet_o there_o be_v nothing_o of_o a_o curse_n or_o of_o the_o nature_n of_o a_o punishment_n the_o sting_n be_v all_o
