fault_n for_o as_o
offence_n that_o he_o may_v make_v his_o more_o vigilant_a woe_n be_v to_o our_o carelessness_n if_o every_o of_o we_o prepare_v not_o himself_o valyaunt_o to_o overcome_v they_o for_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o the_o lord_n may_v the_o more_o sharpen_v the_o care_n and_o diligence_n of_o he_o he_o forewarn_v that_o it_o can_v otherwise_o be_v but_o that_o they_o must_v go_v through_o diverse_a offence_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v have_v say_v it_o be_v a_o evil_a that_o can_v be_v avoid_v so_o it_o be_v a_o confirmation_n of_o the_o former_a sentence_n for_o that_o christ_n do_v thereby_o teach_v how_o many_o evilles_n do_v follow_v upon_o offence_n when_o as_o the_o church_n never_o shall_v be_v nor_o can_v be_v free_a from_o this_o evil_n but_o he_o show_v not_o the_o cause_n of_o the_o necessity_n as_o paul_n 1._o cor._n 11._o 19_o speak_v of_o heresy_n say_v that_o they_o must_v therefore_o arise_v that_o they_o which_o be_v approve_v may_v be_v know_v but_o this_o be_v to_o be_v hold_v that_o god_n will_v have_v man_n in_o danger_n of_o offence_n that_o he_o may_v thereby_o exercise_v the_o faith_n of_o his_o child_n and_o that_o he_o may_v shake_v off_o the_o hypocrite_n as_o weed_n and_o chaff_n from_o the_o pure_a and_o clean_a wheat_n and_o if_o any_o man_n shall_v murmurre_v and_o complain_v that_o it_o be_v absurd_a for_o the_o lord_n to_o give_v satan_n liberty_n to_o work_v the_o destruction_n of_o wretched_a man_n it_o be_v our_o part_n to_o think_v reverent_o of_o the_o secret_a counsel_n of_o god_n of_o which_o this_o be_v one_o that_o it_o be_v necessary_a for_o the_o world_n to_o be_v trouble_v with_o offence_n but_o woe_n be_v to_o that_o man_n by_o who_o offence_n do_v come_v after_o that_o he_o have_v exhort_v his_o to_o beware_v of_o offence_n he_o inveigh_v again_o against_o the_o author_n of_o they_o and_o that_o his_o threaten_n may_v be_v the_o more_o forceble_a he_o add_v that_o neither_o the_o right_a eye_n nor_o the_o right_a hand_n be_v to_o be_v spare_v if_o they_o give_v we_o occasion_n of_o offence_n for_o i_o do_v take_v it_o that_o this_o be_v add_v to_o amplyfie_v the_o matter_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v have_v say_v offence_n be_v to_o be_v resist_v so_o diligent_o and_o constant_o as_o that_o it_o be_v rather_o meet_v to_o pull_v out_o the_o eye_n and_o to_o cut_v off_o the_o hand_n then_o that_o you_o shall_v nourish_v the_o offence_n for_o if_o any_o man_n shall_v doubt_v to_o lose_v any_o of_o his_o member_n with_o this_o favouringe_v or_o spare_v he_o cast_v himself_o into_o eternal_a destruction_n therefore_o how_o horrible_a vengeance_n remain_v for_o they_o which_o destroy_v their_o brethren_n with_o offence_n but_o because_o these_o two_o verse_n be_v expound_v before_o in_o the_o fifte_n chap._n it_o be_v sufficient_a now_o to_o touch_v the_o purpose_n why_o christ_n rehearse_v the_o same_o sentence_n in_o this_o place_n 10._o see_v that_o you_o despise_v not_o one_o of_o these_o little_a one_o because_o that_o pride_n be_v the_o mother_n of_o reproach_n and_o contempt_n bring_v forth_o boldness_n to_o offend_v christ_n upon_o urgent_a cause_n that_o shall_v have_v a_o right_a regard_n of_o the_o brethren_n will_v never_o easy_o be_v bring_v to_o give_v offence_n to_o the_o same_o purpose_n also_o tend_v this_o clause_n of_o christ_n speech_n whereto_o he_o apply_v the_o beginning_n namely_o that_o we_o must_v strive_v in_o submission_n and_o humbleness_n among_o ourselves_o because_o that_o god_n embrace_v the_o little_a one_o with_o a_o singular_a love_n but_o it_o be_v too_o absurd_a for_o they_o to_o be_v despise_v or_o not_o to_o be_v regard_v of_o any_o mortal_a man_n who_o god_n have_v in_o so_o great_a estimation_n further_o
