according_a to_o the_o manner_n of_o man_n what_o be_v the_o reason_n why_o we_o shall_v do_v this_o or_o why_o we_o shall_v do_v that_o why_o we_o shall_v lose_v our_o wife_n child_n good_n and_o land_n this_o reason_n then_o of_o we_o must_v be_v fight_v against_o and_o overcome_v but_o when_o a_o man_n have_v overcome_v his_o reason_n and_o know_v what_o thing_n to_o be_v angry_a for_o and_o what_o thing_n to_o be_v patient_a in_o what_o to_o love_n and_o what_o to_o hate_v then_o shall_v he_o the_o better_a walk_n right_o but_o for_o as_o much_o as_o a_o man_n must_v fight_v both_o with_o his_o reason_n and_o his_o affection_n battle_n this_o be_v a_o hard_a battle_n for_o though_o a_o man_n have_v overcome_v his_o reason_n yet_o his_o affection_n may_v still_o â—e_a head_n strong_a in_o he_o yea_o so_o strong_a as_o they_o shall_v carry_v his_o reason_n &_o judgement_n headlong_o here_o then_o arise_v a_o great_a fight_n than_o before_o before_o the_o affection_n can_v iniquity_n be_v not_o come_v to_o the_o full_a height_n measure_n and_o number_n and_o that_o his_o child_n may_v have_v their_o secret_a sin_n punish_v here_o that_o be_v to_o humble_v they_o to_o allure_v they_o to_o obedience_n to_o try_v their_o faith_n to_o prove_v their_o patience_n to_o work_v in_o they_o a_o contempt_n of_o this_o world_n and_o a_o desire_n of_o the_o world_n to_o come_v so_o that_o that_o which_o they_o suffer_v unjust_o of_o man_n just_o they_o suffer_v of_o god_n and_o when_o god_n child_n do_v not_o thus_o profit_n the_o lord_n in_o mercy_n will_v let_v the_o rod_n still_o tarry_v upon_o they_o until_o they_o have_v profit_v in_o some_o good_a measure_n thus_o we_o see_v the_o justice_n of_o god_n will_v not_o suffer_v he_o to_o punish_v until_o sin_n be_v come_v to_o the_o full_a and_o the_o love_n of_o god_n will_v not_o leave_v to_o correct_v he_o until_o there_o grow_v some_o profit_n and_o yet_o so_o as_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n the_o chilren_n of_o god_n sustain_v no_o loss_n because_o whatsoever_o they_o outward_o lose_v they_o inward_o gain_v wherefore_o see_v the_o lord_n have_v promise_v that_o the_o rod_n of_o the_o wicked_a shall_v not_o fall_v on_o the_o lot_n of_o the_o righteous_a and_o that_o our_o temptation_n shall_v not_o be_v great_a than_o we_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o bear_v we_o must_v know_v that_o when_o the_o godly_a once_o begin_v to_o faint_v and_o the_o wicked_a think_v they_o be_v come_v to_o their_o height_n even_o than_o it_o be_v due_a time_n with_o the_o lord_n to_o send_v happy_a deliverance_n to_o the_o one_o and_o a_o speedy_a overthrow_n of_o all_o the_o counâ—â—ls_n of_o the_o other_o the_o man_n of_o god_n then_o have_v these_o effect_n in_o he_o be_v near_o his_o deliverance_n but_o the_o wicked_a be_v in_o their_o pride_n be_v near_o god_n vengeance_n how_o necessary_a this_o doctrine_n be_v common_a practice_n may_v admonish_v we_o for_o thus_o reason_v flesh_n and_o blood_n sin_v as_o also_o that_o he_o may_v have_v hinder_v this_o evil_n but_o the_o lord_n be_v no_o more_o the_o cause_n of_o sin_v than_o the_o soul_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o halt_v in_o a_o man_n for_o as_o in_o a_o lame_a man_n the_o soul_n be_v only_o the_o cause_n of_o move_v and_o the_o shrink_n of_o some_o vein_n or_o crookedness_n of_o the_o leg_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o unperfect_a move_n likewise_o god_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o every_o action_n in_o man_n but_o our_o own_o corruption_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o action_n and_o yet_o for_o all_o this_o the_o lord_n draw_v out_o good_a even_o from_o the_o vile_a action_n wherefore_o neither_o do_v the_o lord_n evil_a himself_o nor_o suffer_v evil_a to_o be_v do_v but_o as_o he_o drive_v out_o a_o more_o good_a than_o there_o be_v ill_a in_o the_o action_n itself_o 2_o some_o man_n leave_v sin_n as_o adultery_n theft_n or_o murder_n for_o open_a shame_n or_o for_o punishment_n but_o in_o other_o case_n which_o offend_v god_n as_o much_o as_o negligence_n in_o their_o call_n profanation_n of_o the_o sabbath_n neglect_v of_o hear_v the_o word_n they_o make_v no_o conscience_n at_o all_o therefore_o we_o must_v have_v a_o labour_a against_o all_o sin_n other_o leave_v sin_n but_o it_o be_v for_o age_n or_o fail_v in_o pleasure_n or_o some_o such_o thing_n which_o hinder_v they_o of_o which_o diverse_a will_v tell_v differ_v of_o their_o sin_n with_o such_o mirth_n and_o make_v much_o of_o they_o that_o fall_v into_o the_o same_o when_o as_o the_o mention_n of_o they_o shall_v be_v look_v on_o i_o the_o cause_n then_o why_o we_o oftentimes_o be_v not_o help_v be_v because_o we_o hide_v our_o trouble_n from_o the_o lord_n true_a it_o be_v that_o the_o lord_n see_v all_o although_o we_o shall_v hide_v all_o neither_o need_v he_o the_o display_v of_o our_o own_o misery_n but_o yet_o in_o all_o trouble_v he_o will_v have_v we_o to_o open_v and_o acknowledge_v our_o grief_n unto_o he_o that_o he_o may_v the_o better_o make_v know_v to_o we_o that_o he_o have_v help_n lay_v up_o for_o us._n wherefore_o we_o must_v beware_v least_o at_o any_o time_n we_o smother_v our_o estate_n or_o seek_v unlawful_a mean_n but_o in_o all_o thing_n with_o prayer_n and_o supplication_n make_v our_o necessity_n know_v to_o the_o lord_n his_o reason_n join_v herewith_o be_v this_o for_o i_o have_v not_o forget_v thy_o law_n that_o be_v although_o o_o lord_n there_o be_v great_a want_n of_o obedience_n in_o i_o and_o i_o can_v and_o have_v not_o exact_o keep_v thy_o commandment_n yet_o i_o be_o none_o of_o they_o that_o contemn_v thy_o law_n wherefore_o o_o lord_n help_v i_o thus_o we_o see_v still_o that_o the_o man_n of_o god_n suffer_v as_o a_o weldoer_n teach_v we_o that_o if_o we_o suffer_v as_o ill-doer_n the_o rod_n of_o correction_n shall_v not_o depart_v from_o we_o until_o in_o some_o measure_n it_o have_v wrought_v in_o we_o repentance_n but_o if_o we_o suffer_v with_o he_o as_o weldoer_n we_o may_v bold_o use_v this_o argument_n and_o with_o this_o reason_n desire_v the_o lord_n that_o he_o will_v take_v his_o own_o cause_n which_o we_o maintain_v into_o his_o own_o hand_n and_o although_o he_o be_v a_o sinner_n which_o here_o he_o do_v not_o deny_v and_o do_v forget_v many_o particular_a
