many_o sundry_a tune_n as_o there_o be_v devil_n in_o her_o body_n then_o her_o parent_n consultinge_v together_o and_o confess_v thiere_v own_o wickedness_n carry_v she_o to_o the_o venerable_a bishop_n fortunatus_n and_o with_o he_o they_o leave_v she_o who_o have_v take_v she_o to_o his_o charge_n fall_v to_o his_o prayer_n many_o day_n and_o night_n and_o he_o pray_v so_o much_o the_o more_o earnest_o because_o ●he_n have_v against_o he_o in_o one_o body_n a_o whole_a army_n of_o devil_n and_o many_o day_n pass_v not_o before_o he_o make_v she_o so_o safe_a and_o ●ounde_o as_o he_o to_o set_v with_o they_o by_o the_o fire_n and_o as_o they_o be_v among_o themselves_o discoursinge_v of_o diverse_a matter_n the_o same_o wicked_a spirit_n on_o a_o sudc●ain_n enter_v into_o his_o little_a child_n cast_v he_o into_o the_o fire_n and_o forth_o with_o kill_v he_o then_o the_o wretched_a father_n by_o the_o loss_n of_o his_o son_n in_o this_o manner_n know_v full_a well_o who_o he_o have_v entertain_v and_o the_o bishop_n turn_v out_o of_o his_o lodginge_v peter_n what_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o the_o old_a enemy_n presume_v to_o kill_v his_o son_n in_o his_o own_o house_n who_o thinckinge_v he_o to_o be_v a_o stranger_n voursafe_v he_o of_o lodging_n and_o entertainment_n gregory_n many_o thing_n peter_n seem_v to_o be_v good_a and_o yet_o be_v not_o because_o they_o be_v not_o do_v with_o a_o good_a mind_n and_o intention_n and_o therefore_o our_o saviour_n say_v in_o the_o gospel_n if_o they_o eye_v be_v nought_o all_o thy_o 6._o math._n 6._o body_n which_o give_v entertainment_n to_o the_o devil_n be_v more_o desirous_a to_o seem_v to_o do_v a_o good_a work_n then_o to_o do_v it_o in_o deed_n to_o the_o end_n that_o he_o mighteseme_v more_o charitable_a than_o the_o bishop_n in_o that_o he_o entertain_v he_o who_o the_o man_n of_o god_n fortunarus_n have_v thrust_v out_o of_o his_o house_n peter_n it_o be_v verilye_o so_o as_o you_o say_v for_o the_o end_n of_o the_o work_n declare_v that_o the_o intent_n of_o the_o doer_n be_v not_o good_a gregory_n at_o a_o other_o time_n likewise_o one_o that_o have_v lose_v his_o eysighte_n be_v bring_v unto_o he_o who_o crave_v his_o intercession_n and_o obtain_v it_o for_o so_o soon_o as_o rhe_n man_n of_o god_n have_v pray_v for_o he_o and_o make_v cross_n a_o miracle_n of_o the_o sign_n of_o the_o cross_n the_o sign_n of_o the_o cross_n upon_o his_o eye_n straight_a way_n he_o receive_v his_o sight_n beside_o this_o a_o certain_a soldier_n horse_n become_v so_o mad_a that_o he_o cold_a scant_o be_v hold_v by_o many_o and_o so_o cruel_a he_o be_v that_o he_o rend_v and_o tear_v the_o flesh_n of_o all_o such_o as_o he_o can_v reach_v with_o his_o tethe_fw-mi at_o length_n as_o well_o as_o they_o can_v they_o tie_v he_o with_o roope_n and_o so_o bring_v he_o to_o the_o man_n of_o god_n who_o puttinge_v cross_n an_o other_o miracle_n of_o the_o sign_n of_o the_o cross_n forth_o his_o hand_n make_v upon_o his_o head_n the_o sign_n of_o the_o cross_n &_o forth_o with_o all_o his_o madness_n depart_v in_o such_o sort_n that_o he_o become_v more_o gentle_a than_o ever_o
