submit_v to_o his_o order_n and_o go_v to_o the_o king_n bench._n at_o which_o his_o attendant_n be_v in_o a_o great_a fury_n run_v instant_o with_o mighty_a complaint_n to_o the_o king_n give_v he_o a_o account_n of_o the_o whole_a matter_n king_n henry_n appear_v at_o first_o a_o little_a surprise_v but_o recollect_v himself_o he_o seem_v ravish_v with_o joy_n and_o hold_v up_o his_o hand_n to_o heaven_n cry_v out_o o_o merciful_a god_n how_o much_o be_o i_o bind_v to_o thy_o infinite_a goodness_n that_o thou_o have_v give_v i_o a_o judge_n who_o be_v of_o such_o courage_n as_o not_o to_o be_v afraid_a to_o administer_v justice_n and_o a_o son_n of_o such_o humility_n that_o he_o will_v submit_v thereunto_o however_o for_o these_o and_o some_o other_o prank_n he_o remove_v he_o from_o be_v precedent_n of_o the_o council_n and_o put_v his_o young_a brother_n lord_n john_n in_o his_o place_n this_o make_v the_o prince_n so_o sensible_a of_o his_o father_n anger_n which_o some_o of_o his_o enemy_n endeavour_v to_o heighten_v that_o he_o think_v it_o necessary_a to_o use_v all_o mean_n to_o recover_v his_o good_a opinion_n which_o he_o endeavour_v to_o do_v by_o a_o way_n as_o strange_a as_o that_o by_o which_o he_o lose_v it_o of_o which_o i_o shall_v give_v a_o account_n in_o the_o word_n of_o the_o larl_n of_o ormond_n who_o be_v a_o eye_n and_o ear_n witness_v of_o the_o same_o during_o the_o sickness_n of_o the_o king_n faith_n he_o some_o ill_n dispose_v people_n endeavour_v to_o raise_v dissension_n between_o he_o and_o his_o son_n reproach_v the_o prince_n both_o with_o the_o frolic_v of_o his_o youth_n and_o for_o the_o great_a concourse_n of_o people_n that_o continual_o attend_v his_o court_n far_o exceed_v those_o of_o his_o father_n whereby_o they_o insinuate_v that_o he_o design_v to_o usurp_v the_o crown_n during_o his_o life_n which_o raise_v much_o jealousy_n in_o the_o king_n mind_n and_o great_o alienate_v his_o affection_n from_o he_o the_o prince_n have_v notice_n thereof_o by_o some_o of_o his_o friend_n in_o court_n whereupon_o he_o attire_v himself_o in_o a_o garment_n of_o blue_a satin_n wrought_v all_o with_o eyelet_n hole_n of_o black_a silk_n at_o every_o hole_n a_o needle_n hang_v by_o which_o it_o be_v sow_v and_o about_o his_o arm_n he_o wear_v a_o hound_n collar_n stud_v with_o s_o s._n of_o gold_n thus_o strange_o apparel_v with_o a_o large_a retinue_n of_o young_a nobleman_n he_o come_v to_o his_o father_n at_o westminster_n and_o his_o attendant_n stay_v in_o the_o hall_n by_o his_o order_n to_o prevent_v suspicion_n he_o himself_o with_o the_o king_n officer_n go_v to_o wait_v upon_o his_o father_n be_v admit_v into_o the_o presence_n after_o due_a obeisance_n the_o prince_n desire_v that_o he_o may_v have_v audience_n of_o his_o majesty_n in_o the_o privy_a chamber_n upon_o which_o the_o king_n cause_v himself_o to_o be_v carry_v thither_o in_o a_o chair_n where_o in_o the_o presence_n of_o only_a three_o or_o four_o of_o his_o privy-council_n he_o demand_v of_o the_o prince_n the_o cause_n of_o his_o unwonted_a habit_n and_o come_v the_o prince_n kneel_v reply_v most_o honour_a lord_n and_o father_n i_o be_o come_v to_o throw_v myself_o at_o your_o majesty_n be_v foot_n as_o your_o most_o loyal_a subject_n and_o obedient_a son_n to_o who_o nothing_o be_v more_o afflict_a than_o that_o your_o majesty_n shall_v entertain_v the_o least_o jealousy_n of_o my_o design_v any_o thing_n against_o your_o royal_a dignity_n or_o to_o imagine_v i_o so_o horrid_o undutiful_a and_o ingrateful_a to_o a_o father_n who_o have_v always_o show_v such_o tender_a love_n and_o affection_n to_o i_o as_o your_o highness_n have_v always_o do_v so_o that_o i_o shall_v deserve_v a_o thousand_o death_n if_o i_o dare_v imagine_v the_o least_o harm_n or_o damage_n against_o your_o sacred_a person_n and_o if_o it_o be_v my_o bind_a duty_n to_o hazard_v my_o life_n in_o your_o defence_n against_o any_o even_o the_o great_a traitor_n whatsoever_o then_o much_o more_o ought_v i_o to_o sacrifice_n myself_o to_o free_v your_o grace_n from_o the_o fear_n of_o any_o peril_n or_o danger_n from_o i_o and_o upon_o that_o account_n i_o have_v this_o day_n by_o confess_v my_o sin_n and_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n prepare_v myself_o for_o another_o world_n therefore_o most_o honour_a father_n i_o beseech_v you_o for_o god_n sake_n to_o put_v a_o end_n to_o my_o life_n now_o lie_v at_o your_o foot_n with_o this_o dagger_n deliver_v his_o dagger_n to_o the_o k._n for_o i_o have_v rather_o be_v out_o of_o the_o world_n than_o continue_v a_o day_n long_o in_o it_o to_o give_v any_o disturbance_n to_o your_o mind_n and_o dear_a father_n in_o the_o do_v hereof_o i_o free_o forgive_v you_o as_o i_o shall_v do_v the_o same_o before_o god_n at_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n the_o king_n be_v so_o move_v at_o these_o word_n tha●_n throw_v the_o dagger_n away_o he_o fall_v upon_o his_o neck_n and_o embrace_v he_o say_v my_o dear_a and_o true_o be_v love_v son_n i_o must_v confess_v i_o have_v entertain_v some_o suspicion_n but_o i_o now_o find_v they_o be_v altogether_o causeless_a on_o your_o part_n and_o since_o i_o be_o now_o sensible_a of_o your_o fidelity_n and_o obedience_n i_o do_v assure_v you_o upon_o my_o honour_n i_o will_v never_o hereafter_o harbour_v any_o ill_a opinion_n of_o you_o whatsoever_o may_v be_v suggest_v against_o you_o and_o hereupon_o he_o be_v full_o restore_v to_o the_o king_n be_v former_a grace_n and_o favour_n the_o king_n weakness_n of_o body_n increase_v daily_o he_o ofttimes_o take_v occasion_n to_o give_v some_o useful_a instruction_n to_o his_o son_n for_o the_o future_a govern_n of_o his_o kingdom_n to_o this_o effect_n dear_a son_n i_o be_o much_o concern_v for_o fear_n that_o after_o my_o decease_n some_o difference_n may_v arise_v betwixt_o you_o and_o your_o brother_n thomas_n duke_n of_o clarence_n whereby_o great_a mischief_n may_v happen_v to_o the_o kingdom_n you_o be_v both_o of_o great_a spirit_n and_o he_o of_o a_o usurp_a temper_n which_o i_o be_o sure_a you_o will_v never_o endure_v and_o as_o often_o as_o i_o think_v of_o it_o i_o hearty_o repent_v i_o that_o ever_o i_o charge_v myself_o with_o the_o trouble_n of_o a_o crown_n the_o prince_n reply_v gracious_a sovereign_n and_o father_n i_o pray_v god_n continue_v long_o your_o life_n and_o reign_n to_o govern_v we_o both_o but_o if_o it_o please_v the_o almighty_a that_o i_o shall_v succeed_v you_o in_o the_o kingdom_n i_o shall_v honour_v and_o love_v my_o brethren_n above_o all_o other_o so_o long_o as_o they_o be_v true_a and_o faithful_a to_o i_o their_o sovereign_a lord_n but_o if_o any_o of_o they_o shall_v conspire_v or_o rebel_v against_o i_o i_o do_v assure_v you_o i_o shall_v as_o soon_o execute_v justice_n on_o they_o as_o upon_o the_o mean_a and_o most_o inconsiderable_a person_n in_o the_o nation_n the_o king_n be_v extreme_o please_v with_o this_o answer_n and_o then_o proceed_v my_o well_o belove_a son_n thou_o have_v much_o ease_v my_o trouble_a mind_n and_o i_o charge_v thou_o to_o do_v as_o thou_o have_v say_v to_o administer_v justice_n impartial_o but_o to_o be_v always_o ready_a and_o speedy_a in_o relieve_v the_o oppress_a and_o let_v not_o flatterer_n who_o hand_n be_v full_a of_o bribe_n withdraw_v thy_o mind_n therefrom_o delay_v not_o to_o do_v justice_n to_o day_n if_o thou_o be_v able_a lest_o god_n shall_v execute_v justice_n upon_o thou_o and_o deprive_v thou_o of_o thy_o authority_n remember_v that_o the_o happiness_n of_o thy_o soul_n thy_o body_n and_o thy_o kingdom_n depend_v thereupon_o yet_o in_o some_o case_n let_v justice_n be_v temper_v with_o mercy_n lest_o thou_o be_v account_v
