integrity_n and_o such_o as_o both_o kingdom_n may_v confide_v in_o for_o their_o faithfulness_n to_o the_o religion_n and_o peace_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o house_n of_o peer_n and_o of_o the_o house_n of_o commons_o who_o shall_v be_v remove_v or_o alter_v from_o time_n to_o time_n as_o both_o house_n shall_v think_v fit_a and_o when_o any_o shall_v die_v other_o to_o be_v nominate_v in_o their_o place_n by_o the_o say_a house_n which_o commissioner_n shall_v have_v power_n first_o to_o suppress_v any_o force_n raise_v without_o authority_n of_o both_o house_n of_o parliament_n or_o in_o the_o interval_n of_o parliament_n without_o consent_n of_o the_o say_a commissioner_n to_o the_o disturbance_n of_o the_o public_a peace_n of_o these_o kingdom_n and_o to_o suppress_v any_o foreign_a force_n that_o shall_v invade_v this_o kingdom_n and_o that_o it_o shall_v be_v high_a treason_n in_o any_o who_o shall_v levy_v any_o force_n without_o such_o authority_n or_o consent_n to_o the_o disturbance_n of_o the_o public_a peace_n of_o the_o kingdom_n any_o commission_n under_o the_o great_a seal_n or_o other_o warrant_n to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o and_o they_o to_o be_v incapable_a of_o any_o pardon_n from_o his_o majesty_n and_o their_o estate_n to_o be_v dispose_v of_o as_o both_o house_n of_o parliament_n shall_v think_v fit_a 2._o to_o preserve_v the_o peace_n now_o to_o be_v settle_v and_o to_o prevent_v all_o disturbance_n of_o the_o public_a peace_n that_o may_v arise_v by_o occasion_n of_o the_o late_a trouble_n so_o for_o the_o kingdom_n of_o scotland_n 3._o to_o have_v power_n to_o send_v part_n of_o themselves_o so_o as_o they_o exceed_v not_o a_o three_o part_n or_o be_v not_o under_o the_o number_n of_o to_o reside_v in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o scotland_n to_o assist_v and_o vote_n as_o single_a person_n with_o the_o commissioner_n of_o scotland_n in_o those_o matter_n wherein_o the_o kingdom_n of_o scotland_n be_v only_o concern_v so_o for_o the_o kingdom_n of_o scotland_n 4._o that_o the_o commissioner_n of_o both_o kingdom_n may_v meet_v as_o a_o joint_a committee_n as_o they_o shall_v see_v cause_n or_o send_v part_n of_o themselves_o as_o aforesaid_a
to_o do_v as_o follow_v 1._o to_o preserve_v the_o peace_n betwixt_o the_o kingdom_n and_o the_o king_n and_o every_o one_o of_o they_o 2._o to_o prevent_v the_o violation_n of_o the_o article_n of_o peace_n as_o aforesaid_a or_o any_o trouble_n arise_v in_o the_o kingdom_n by_o breach_n of_o the_o say_a article_n and_o to_o hear_v and_o determine_v all_o difference_n that_o may_v occasion_v the_o
