jurisdiction_n be_v ample_a and_o spacious_a and_o that_o their_o time_n be_v to_o be_v divide_v between_o the_o labour_n as_o well_o in_o the_o word_n and_o doctrine_n as_o in_o government_n and_o jurisdiction_n but_o yet_o i_o do_v not_o see_v suppose_v the_o bishop_n court_n to_o be_v use_v incorrupt_o and_o without_o any_o indirect_a course_n hold_v to_o multiply_v cause_n for_o gain_v of_o fee_n but_o that_o the_o bishop_n may_v very_o well_o for_o cause_n of_o moment_n supply_n his_o judicial_a function_n in_o his_o own_o person_n for_o we_o see_v before_o our_o eye_n that_o one_o chanceller_n of_o england_n dispatch_v the_o suit_n in_o equity_n of_o the_o whole_a kingdom_n which_o be_v not_o so_o much_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o excellency_n of_o that_o rare_a honourable_a person_n which_o now_o hold_v the_o place_n but_o it_o be_v ever_o so_o though_o more_o or_o less_o burdenous_a to_o the_o suitor_n as_o the_o chanceller_n be_v more_o or_o less_o able_a to_o give_v ordinary_a help_n incident_a to_o jurisdiction_n may_n very_o well_o suffice_v his_o office_n but_o yet_o there_o

be_v another_o help_n for_o the_o cause_n that_o come_v before_o he_o be_v these_o tithe_n legacy_n administration_n and_o other_o testamentary_a cause_n cause_n matrimonial_a accusation_n against_o minister_n tend_v to_o their_o suspension_n deprivation_n or_o degrade_n simony_n incontinency_n heresy_n blasphemy_n breach_n of_o the_o sabbath_n and_o other_o like_a cause_n of_o scandal_n the_o first_o two_o of_o these_o in_o my_o opinion_n differ_v from_o the_o rest_n that_o be_v tithe_n and_o testament_n for_o those_o be_v matter_n of_o profit_n and_o in_o their_o nature_n temporal_a though_o by_o a_o favour_n and_o connivance_n of_o the_o temporal_a jurisdiction_n they_o have_v be_v allow_v and_o permit_v to_o the_o court_n ecclesiastical_a the_o one_o to_o the_o end_n the_o clergy_n may_v sue_v for_o that_o that_o be_v their_o sustentation_n before_o their_o own_o judge_n and_o the_o other_o in_o a_o kind_n of_o piety_n and_o religion_n which_o be_v think_v incident_a to_o the_o performance_n of_o dead_a man_n wi_n and_o sure_o for_o these_o two_o the_o bishop_n in_o my_o opinion_n may_v with_o less_o danger_n discharge_v himself_o upon_o his_o ordinary_a judge_n as_o be_v touch_v before_o but_o it_o be_v necessary_a also_o he_o be_v attend_v by_o his_o chanceller_n or_o some_o other_o his_o officer_n be_v learned_a in_o the_o civil_a law_n for_o his_o better_a instruction_n in_o point_n of_o formality_n or_o the_o course_n of_o the_o court_n which_o if_o it_o be_v do_v than_o be_v there_o less_o use_v of_o the_o official_o court_n whereof_o there_o be_v now_o so_o much_o complaint_n and_o cause_n of_o the_o nature_n aforesaid_a be_v only_o draw_v to_o the_o audience_n of_o the_o bishop_n it_o will_v repress_v frivoulous_a and_o prowl_a suit_n and_o give_v a_o grave_a and_o incorrupt_a proceed_v to_o such_o cause_n as_o shall_v be_v fit_a for_o the_o court._n there_o be_v a_o three_o point_v also_o not_o of_o jurisdiction_n but_o of_o
