ardent_a love_n for_o certain_a truth_n by_o which_o he_o will_v sanctify_v they_o he_o suffer_v sometime_o that_o in_o respect_n of_o other_o they_o remain_v in_o some_o kind_n of_o obscurity_n or_o in_o a_o want_n of_o judgement_n which_o come_v not_o from_o the_o corruption_n of_o their_o heart_n but_o from_o this_o that_o god_n apply_v they_o to_o other_o thing_n it_o be_v this_o that_o make_v these_o who_o love_v these_o truth_n to_o be_v oftentimes_o trouble_v to_o see_v they_o so_o little_o concern_v for_o they_o because_o they_o consider_v not_o that_o they_o themselves_o be_v in_o this_o deprivation_n of_o light_n and_o judgement_n in_o regard_n of_o many_o other_o and_o that_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n be_v limit_v and_o narrow_a in_o the_o condition_n it_o be_v in_o as_o to_o this_o life_n god_n do_v not_o exact_a that_o it_o shall_v love_v truth_n truth_n in_o all_o its_o extent_n but_o only_o that_o it_o be_v the_o love_n of_o truth_n and_o not_o cupidity_n which_o shall_v be_v the_o principal_a of_o its_o action_n 23._o when_o god_n leave_v the_o saint_n thus_o in_o ignorance_n as_o to_o many_o truth_n or_o divert_v and_o stop_v the_o occasion_n which_o may_v engage_v they_o to_o commit_v some_o fault_n through_o ignorance_n or_o hide_v by_o the_o purity_n of_o their_o heart_n and_o by_o the_o ardency_n of_o their_o charity_n those_o which_o they_o commit_v it_o happen_v nevertheless_o from_o hence_o that_o we_o may_v easy_o make_v ill_a use_n of_o their_o example_n whether_o it_o be_v in_o imagine_v that_o we_o ought_v to_o follow_v blind_o all_o they_o have_v do_v or_o in_o behave_v ourselves_o so_o as_o to_o condemn_v these_o saint_n because_o of_o these_o want_n of_o light_n but_o both_o the_o one_o and_o the_o other_o of_o these_o scandal_n must_v be_v remedy_v by_o the_o consideration_n of_o this_o various_a dispensation_n which_o god_n make_v of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o this_o truth_n for_o we_o see_v by_o this_o on_o the_o one_o side_n that_o there_o may_v remain_v darkness_n in_o the_o saint_n in_o respect_n of_o certain_a point_n in_o which_o by_o consequence_n they_o ought_v not_o to_o be_v take_v for_o guide_n and_o we_o have_v reason_n to_o conclude_v on_o the_o other_o that_o it_o follow_v not_o that_o those_o in_o who_o we_o perceive_v the_o want_n of_o light_n in_o respect_n of_o certain_a truth_n can_v be_v saint_n by_o the_o application_n they_o have_v to_o other_o 24._o we_o may_v add_v to_o this_o that_o perchance_o those_o who_o hurt_v in_o appearance_n certain_a truth_n through_o ignorance_n and_o lack_v of_o light_n have_v before_o god_n more_o love_n and_o zeal_n for_o they_o than_o these_o who_o show_v a_o great_a heat_n for_o those_o same_o truth_n for_o god_n have_v particular_o regard_v to_o the_o bottom_n of_o the_o heart_n and_o when_o he_o see_v there_o a_o sincere_a love_n for_o truth_n and_o justice_n a_o disposition_n to_o follow_v they_o at_o the_o cost_n of_o all_o thing_n he_o have_v less_o regard_n to_o the_o darkness_n which_o hinder_v this_o love_n to_o spread_v it_o over_o certain_a particular_a point_n whereas_o it_o happen_v sometime_o that_o this_o zeal_n so_o apparent_a for_o certain_a truth_n be_v nothing_o but_o the_o effect_n of_o self-love_n and_o a_o tie_n to_o its_o proper_a sense_n we_o maintain_v truth_n as_o we_o shall_v maintain_v what_o be_v false_a if_o we_o have_v the_o same_o engagement_n to_o do_v it_o and_o oftentimes_o god_n fee_v nothing_o that_o be_v sincere_a at_o the_o bottom_n of_o the_o heart_n which_o lead_v direct_o to_o truth_n 25._o those_o who_o by_o a_o more_o exact_a study_n of_o antiquity_n shall_v have_v acquire_v knowledge_n and_o some_o light_n which_o very_o holy_a person_n shall_v not_o have_v have_v shall_v yet_o have_v occasion_n to_o humble_v themselves_o by_o this_o thought_n that_o those_o truth_n though_o great_a and_o important_a be_v not_o ordinary_o those_o the_o practice_n whereof_o be_v most_o frequent_a and_o which_o be_v the_o principal_a of_o the_o common_a action_n which_o compose_v our_o life_n thus_o as_o the_o occasion_n of_o practise_v they_o be_v not_o very_o ordinary_a they_o become_v often_o barren_a in_o these_o who_o know_v they_o and_o we_o may_v easy_o believe_v that_o man_n love_v they_o without_o any_o real_a or_o effective_a love_n for_o they_o it_o be_v altogether_o contrary_a with_o common_a truth_n as_o with_o those_o which_o teach_v to_o converse_v with_o our_o neighbour_n in_o a_o edify_a manner_n to_o have_v god_n present_a in_o all_o our_o action_n and_o to_o do_v nothing_o but_o by_o his_o motive_n and_o his_o spirit_n to_o mortify_v all_o the_o inordinate_a excess_n of_o self-love_n to_o lop_v off_o all_o thing_n useless_a to_o this_o
