soul_n so_o disquiet_v within_o i_o if_o then_o it_o appear_v by_o these_o reason_n that_o the_o bare_a dictate_v of_o conscience_n without_o their_o due_a and_o just_a ground_v upon_o the_o word_n be_v not_o a_o approve_a rule_n of_o god_n we_o have_v what_o we_o will_v otherwise_o these_o absurdity_n must_v needs_o follow_v the_o contrary_n concl._n 6._o albeit_o there_o be_v some_o bind_a nature_n in_o conscience_n though_o err_a so_o that_o in_o that_o estate_n of_o conscience_n not_o to_o omit_v a_o thing_n in_o itself_o good_a from_o which_o err_a conscience_n dissuade_v will_v become_v to_o that_o person_n a_o offence_n against_o conscience_n and_o a_o present_a resolution_n never_o to_o do_v something_o in_o itself_o evil_a to_o which_o the_o err_a conscience_n do_v persuade_v will_v be_v of_o the_o like_a nature_n to_o he_o yet_o may_v regulate_v civil_a authority_n yea_o they_o must_v restrain_v and_o punish_v both_o manifest_a neglect_n of_o weighty_a duty_n in_o matter_n of_o god_n or_o man_n require_v by_o god_n and_o under_o god_n enjoin_v by_o man_n and_o likewise_o evidence_v commission_n of_o any_o forbid_a evil_n both_o by_o god_n and_o man_n commission_n of_o evil_n forbid_v first_o by_o god_n and_o then_o by_o civil_a authority_n from_o and_o under_o god_n also_o as_o evil_n infringe_v the_o civil_a power_n and_o cross_v to_o the_o end_n for_o which_o civil_a authority_n and_o society_n be_v appoint_v likewise_o as_o hurtful_a to_o civil_a state_n and_o bring_v many_o mischief_n upon_o the_o same_o if_o they_o be_v not_o thus_o restrain_v and_o punish_v 2._o because_o that_o together_o with_o their_o coerceive_v law_n bind_v to_o civil_a punishment_n they_o do_v provide_v for_o all_o due_a mean_n of_o conviction_n of_o person_n pretend_v conscience_n for_o what_o they_o either_o refuse_v to_o do_v or_o for_o what_o they_o actual_o do_v contrary_a to_o god_n whether_o it_o will_v appear_v at_o least_o interpretative_o to_o they_o as_o well_o as_o other_o such_o punishable_a act_n of_o they_o arise_v not_o from_o conscience_n regulate_v but_o stiffen_v against_o its_o duty_n nor_o 3_o do_v such_o person_n in_o such_o omission_n or_o commission_n their_o whole_a duty_n but_o many_o way_n contrary_a to_o their_o duty_n in_o regard_n of_o some_o of_o which_o contrary_a walking_n to_o their_o duty_n they_o may_v be_v just_o punish_v for_o they_o in_o some_o sense_n it_o be_v a_o part_n of_o duty_n to_o do_v nothing_o against_o conscience_n and_o to_o do_v what_o one_o do_v according_a to_o conscience_n yet_o the_o stress_n and_o force_n of_o that_o duty_n lie_v here_o because_o conscience_n itself_o by_o duty_n be_v to_o be_v subject_a to_o the_o word_n and_o bottom_n all_o it_o dictate_v upon_o the_o word_n and_o to_o attend_v to_o all_o as_o well_o as_o any_o of_o the_o rule_n of_o the_o word_n to_o all_o which_o each_o man_n therefore_o be_v in_o conscience_n bind_v to_o attend_v so_o that_o such_o err_a and_o corrupt_a person_n they_o do_v not_o their_o whole_a nor_o do_v they_o their_o main_a duty_n in_o that_o they_o do_v not_o therein_o what_o be_v according_a to_o the_o word_n but_o contrary_a rather_o to_o the_o word_n both_o as_o require_v first_o such_o and_o such_o duty_n of_o they_o as_o for_o instance_n to_o swear_v by_o the_o name_n of_o god_n to_o else_o to_o do_v as_o in_o the_o former_a instance_n of_o take_v a_o oath_n go_v to_o war_n to_o which_o we_o may_v add_v put_v away_o a_o wife_n upon_o a_o slight_a cause_n or_o the_o like_a they_o will_v not_o stiff_o refuse_v a_o oath_n or_o to_o go_v for_o a_o soldier_n when_o authority_n
