with_o the_o lord_n as_o they_o return_v homeward_o you_o will_v perhaps_o ask_v what_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o he_o meet_v with_o marie_n magdalene_n no_o doubt_v this_o be_v the_o cause_n she_o love_v he_o best_o she_o love_v he_o above_o they_o all_o and_o she_o have_v the_o great_a languor_n to_o see_v he_o and_o she_o rest_v never_o till_o she_o have_v see_v he_o and_o meet_v with_o he_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o these_o woman_n see_v he_o afore_o the_o apostle_n no_o question_n their_o languor_n to_o see_v jesus_n be_v next_o to_o marie_n the_o apostle_n languor_n be_v last_o and_o therefore_o they_o get_v the_o last_o sight_n of_o he_o now_o the_o lesson_n be_v easy_a thou_o that_o long_v most_o for_o the_o lord_n jesus_n shall_v see_v he_o first_o with_o marry_o magdalene_n a_o man_n will_v thirst_v for_o earthly_a thing_n and_o be_v disappoint_v of_o they_o but_o it_o be_v unpossible_a if_o thou_o thirst_v for_o christ_n and_o to_o see_v thy_o lord_n but_o thou_o shall_v see_v he_o so_o bless_a be_v they_o that_o hunger_n and_o thirst_n for_o righteousness_n for_o they_o shall_v be_v satisfy_v matth._n chapter_n 5._o verse_n 5._o so_o if_o thou_o will_v see_v christ_n first_o long_o for_o he_o and_o thou_o shall_v never_o get_v that_o blessedness_n till_o thou_o see_v he_o then_o if_o thou_o can_v not_o be_v the_o first_o in_o care_n and_o desire_v yea_o the_o last_o sight_n bless_a be_v they_o that_o come_v either_o first_o or_o last_o to_o heaven_n but_o think_v not_o that_o this_o draw_v near_o of_o we_o to_o he_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o he_o draw_v near_o to_o we_o no_o if_o he_o drew_n not_o near_o unto_o we_o first_o we_o will_v never_o think_v of_o he_o let_v be_v to_o draw_v near_o unto_o he_o so_o brethren_n the_o cause_n wherefore_o our_o heart_n do_v draw_v near_o unto_o the_o lord_n be_v not_o in_o we_o but_o in_o he_o because_o he_o thirst_v for_o we_o and_o draw_v we_o unto_o he_o and_o will_v thou_o have_v a_o languour_n for_o his_o presence_n in_o the_o which_o be_v satiety_n of_o joy_n and_o if_o thou_o have_v no_o languour_n be_v sure_a the_o lord_n be_v far_o from_o thou_o for_o if_o he_o be_v far_o from_o thou_o albeit_o thou_o have_v all_o the_o world_n about_o thou_o thou_o be_v but_o a_o miserable_a body_n when_o he_o meet_v with_o these_o woman_n he_o be_v not_o dumb_a and_o he_o speak_v not_o to_o the_o ear_n only_o but_o also_o to_o the_o heart_n he_o say_v god_n save_v you_o the_o word_n in_o the_o own_o language_n will_v be_v well_o mark_v it_o signify_v rejoice_v be_v not_o this_o a_o great_a thing_n that_o he_o that_o have_v joy_n to_o give_v thou_o shall_v bid_v thou_o rejoice_v and_o no_o doubt_n it_o be_v a_o effectual_a word_n and_o it_o make_v they_o to_o have_v joy_n unspeakable_a a_o man_n when_o he_o bid_v thou_o rejoice_v have_v no_o power_n to_o work_v joy_n in_o thou_o but_o the_o lord_n be_v joy_n itself_o who_o have_v joy_n to_o give_v but_o the_o lord_n himself_o or_o who_o can_v give_v peace_n but_o the_o lord_n assoon_o as_o he_o draw_v near_o to_o any_o person_n and_o give_v his_o presence_n to_o he_o to_o y_z e_z end_n that_o his_o presence_n may_v work_v he_o give_v a_o joyful_a word_n the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v of_o power_n as_o paul_n say_v rom._n 1.16_o the_o gospel_n be_v the_o power_n of_o god_n unto_o salvation_n unto_o every_o one_o that_o believe_v so_o if_o thou_o contemn_v this_o word_n that_o bid_v thou_o rejoice_v thou_o shall_v get_v no_o portion_n of_o that_o grace_n that_o be_v with_o he_o so_o this_o word_n be_v the_o only_a minister_n that_o minister_v joy_n to_o the_o soul_n all_o the_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n shall_v never_o minister_v joy_n to_o the_o soul_n that_o be_v afflict_v when_o heaven_n and_o the_o earth_n yet_o say_v peter_n in_o his_o first_o epistle_n the_o first_o chapter_n and_o the_o eight_o verse_n we_o not_o see_v he_o but_o believe_v in_o he_o rejoice_v with_o a_o that_o have_v little_a knowledge_n indeed_o in_o this_o stile_n he_o will_v let_v we_o see_v that_o there_o be_v never_o such_o a_o one_o in_o word_n nor_o work_n never_o one_o wrought_v such_o miracle_n as_o he_o do_v and_o never_o man_n speak_v as_o he_o do_v as_o his_o own_o very_a enemy_n testify_v of_o he_o john_n chapter_n 7._o yet_o will_v you_o measure_v it_o with_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o man_n there_o be_v a_o defect_n here_o also_o he_o think_v he_o have_v be_v like_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o prophet_n who_o prophesy_v not_o by_o their_o own_o spirit_n but_o by_o the_o between_o christ_n and_o all_o the_o prophet_n all_o these_o prophet_n and_o moses_n himself_o be_v but_o servant_n they_o speak_v never_o a_o word_n by_o their_o spirit_n but_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n as_o peter_n speak_v in_o the_o first_o epistle_n speak_v moses_n esay_n or_o ezechiell_n in_o their_o own_o name_n dare_v any_o minister_n speak_v in_o his_o own_o name_n no_o not_o under_o pain_n of_o his_o life_n but_o jesus_n be_v call_v the_o lord_n of_o the_o house_n in_o the_o epistle_n to_o the_o hebrew_n the_o three_o chapter_n he_o speak_v by_o his_o own_o spirit_n and_o these_o preach_n be_v preach_v by_o his_o own_o spirit_n and_o he_o speak_v by_o his_o own_o authority_n as_o you_o may_v read_v in_o the_o seven_o chapter_n of_o matthew_n a_o herald_n if_o he_o speak_v in_o his_o name_n shall_v be_v hang_v but_o the_o king_n himself_o will_v speak_v in_o his_o own_o name_n the_o lord_n speak_v in_o his_o own_o name_n but_o the_o prophet_n speak_v not_o in_o their_o own_o name_n read_v these_o prophecy_n they_o say_v there_o thus_o say_v the_o lord_n but_o you_o shall_v find_v thus_o when_o christ_n come_v he_o say_v amen_o amen_n dico_fw-la vobis_fw-la name_n and_o by_o his_o own_o authority_n be_v equal_a with_o the_o father_n now_o to_o be_v short_a he_o say_v he_o be_v mighty_a before_o god_n and_o the_o whole_a people_n that_o be_v to_o say_v he_o have_v the_o approbation_n of_o the_o lord_n from_o the_o heaven_n and_o what_o ever_o he_o speak_v the_o lord_n approve_v it_o what_o ever_o he_o do_v his_o father_n approve_v it_o then_o again_o he_o do_v never_o a_o action_n but_o with_o the_o approbation_n of_o the_o people_n but_o it_o will_v be_v ask_v how_o approve_v they_o he_o see_v they_o persecute_v he_o scorn_v he_o and_o crucify_v he_o i_o answer_v albeit_o that_o neither_o by_o word_n nor_o deed_n the_o jew_n nor_o the_o high_a priest_n have_v approve_v he_o yet_o the_o conscience_n of_o the_o same_o high_a priest_n and_o jew_n approve_v he_o and_o bare_a witness_n to_o they_o that_o he_o be_v god_n so_o that_o sometime_o they_o be_v compel_v to_o say_v never_o man_n speak_v as_o he_o do_v john_n chapter_n 6._o verse_n 46._o and_o sometime_o again_o since_o the_o world_n begin_v be_v it_o not_o hear_v that_o any_o man_n open_v the_o eye_n of_o one_o that_o be_v bear_v blind_a john_n chapter_n 9_o verse_n 32._o so_o that_o all_o that_o they_o do_v to_o he_o be_v against_o conscience_n i_o regard_v not_o what_o thou_o do_v to_o i_o if_o thou_o be_v bind_v in_o conscience_n to_o testify_v that_o that_o dwell_v in_o he_o god_n in_o he_o approve_v he_o roman_n chap._n 1._o vers_fw-la 4._o it_o be_v say_v he_o be_v declare_v mighty_o to_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god._n and_o 1._o timothy_n chap._n 3._o you_o see_v here_o a_o great_a ignorance_n in_o the_o first_o word_n a_o untruth_n and_o you_o see_v in_o all_o the_o word_n follow_v there_o be_v some_o want_n and_o to_o who_o be_v it_o that_o he_o preach_v he_o preach_v christ_n to_o christ_n and_o he_o describe_v the_o lord_n to_o the_o lord_n and_o yet_o the_o lord_n hear_v he_o patient_o you_o will_v not_o believe_v how_o he_o will_v hear_v thy_o babble_n if_o in_o thy_o heart_n thou_o have_v a_o love_n to_o god_n suppose_v thou_o babble_v he_o will_v hear_v thou_o and_o if_o thou_o speak_v with_o love_n suppose_v thou_o can_v not_o pray_v as_o other_o man_n and_o woman_n can_v babble_n on_o to_o he_o and_o speak_v on_o with_o a_o good_a heart_n he_o will_v no_o more_o reject_v thou_o than_o he_o do_v cleopas_n he_o be_v aye_o like_a to_o himself_o for_o what_o be_v all_o our_o language_n to_o he_o but_o a_o babble_a yea_o all_o our_o knowledge_n be_v but_o babble_v so_o suppose_v we_o have_v not_o knowledge_n nor_o a_o tongue_n to_o speak_v yet_o let_v we_o not_o leave_v off_o to_o speak_v in_o love_n &_o with_o our_o heart_n and_o he_o shall_v hear_v we_o and_o give_v we_o a_o comfortable_a answer_n now_o i_o count_v never_o so_o much_o of_o knowledge_n as_o of_o a_o heart_n which_o love_v god_n keep_v a_o heart_n to_o thy_o god_n come_v with_o faith_n and_o love_n to_o thy_o god_n and_o thou_o will_v not_o think_v how_o he_o will_v delight_v in_o thou_o if_o we_o come_v with_o love_n to_o the_o lord_n than_o we_o come_v bold_o to_o the_o throne_n of_o grace_n and_o why_o because_o we_o come_v not_o in_o our_o own_o righteousness_n or_o in_o our_o own_o perfection_n we_o appear_v only_o in_o the_o merit_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o suppose_v thou_o babble_v and_o be_v ignorant_a yet_o if_o thou_o appear_v in_o he_o thou_o be_v full_a of_o knowledge_n for_o his_o knowledge_n the_o lord_n count_n to_o be_v thou_o o_o what_o be_v it_o to_o be_v in_o christ_n he_o who_o have_v christ_n have_v all_o though_o he_o be_v never_o so_o weak_a he_o be_v strong_a in_o he_o my_o power_n say_v the_o lord_n be_v perfect_a in_o infirmity_n and_o therefore_o say_v paul_n i_o will_v glory_v in_o my_o infirmity_n that_o the_o power_n of_o god_n may_v be_v see_v in_o i_o 2._o cor._n 12._o now_o a_o word_n and_o so_o i_o end_n cleopas_n begin_v to_o tell_v what_o be_v befall_v to_o such_o a_o personage_n who_o be_v mighty_a in_o word_n and_o deed_n yet_o for_o all_o this_o they_o handle_v he_o most_o unworthy_o of_o any_o man_n our_o priest_n and_o ruler_n as_o pilate_n first_o they_o condemn_v he_o to_o the_o death_n without_o a_o cause_n and_o next_o they_o have_v crucify_v he_o if_o you_o consider_v well_o the_o word_n you_o will_v find_v that_o he_o speak_v to_o they_o with_o a_o wonderful_a indignation_n as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v albeit_o he_o be_v such_o a_o man_n and_o so_o great_a a_o man_n in_o all_o respect_n yet_o they_o condemn_v he_o without_o a_o cause_n and_o then_o they_o crucify_v he_o and_o what_o indignity_n be_v this_o for_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v albeit_o he_o be_v the_o lord_n of_o glory_n yet_o most_o shameful_o they_o crucify_v he_o 1._o cor._n chapter_n second_o and_o the_o eight_o verse_n well_o take_v up_o this_o in_o his_o word_n what_o ever_o be_v do_v against_o christ_n it_o be_v a_o indignity_n if_o we_o know_v that_o majesty_n we_o offend_v
that_o as_o those_o thing_n befall_v to_o he_o of_o necessity_n so_o of_o necessity_n those_o thing_n behoove_v to_o be_v preach_v to_o the_o world_n so_o he_o instructe_v they_o in_o these_o two_o necessity_n then_o he_o come_v on_o in_o the_o second_o part_n of_o his_o preach_n and_o give_v direction_n to_o they_o to_o be_v preacher_n and_o witness_n to_o the_o world_n of_o all_o these_o thing_n promise_v again_o to_o they_o that_o spirit_n which_o he_o have_v promise_v they_o before_o his_o passion_n and_o that_o they_o shall_v have_v the_o great_a security_n he_o give_v they_o commandment_n not_o to_o depart_v out_o of_o jerusalem_n until_o they_o be_v endue_v with_o virtue_n out_o of_o heaven_n this_o be_v the_o effect_n to_o come_v to_o the_o first_o part_n when_o they_o hear_v he_o speak_v with_o a_o voice_n familiar_a wherewith_o they_o have_v be_v acquaint_v and_o that_o homely_a salutation_n peace_n be_v unto_o you_o yet_o they_o will_v not_o know_v he_o when_o they_o have_v see_v his_o hand_n and_o foot_n yet_o they_o believe_v not_o that_o it_o be_v he_o when_o they_o have_v handle_v he_o and_o feel_v he_o yet_o they_o believe_v he_o not_o for_o all_o he_o teach_v they_o by_o the_o sight_n of_o a_o bodily_a action_n he_o ask_v if_o they_o have_v aâ—y_o meâ—t_v they_o present_v to_o he_o a_o piece_n of_o roast_a fish_n and_o that_o be_v all_o the_o delicate_a they_o give_v he_o and_o with_o it_o a_o piece_n of_o honey_n comb_n he_o take_v and_o eat_v in_o their_o sight_n he_o eat_v the_o piece_n of_o the_o roast_a fish_n and_o the_o honey_n comb_n not_o that_o the_o lord_n after_o his_o resurrection_n have_v any_o need_n to_o eat_v any_o of_o their_o meat_n he_o who_o now_o be_v immortal_a after_o his_o resurrection_n that_o be_v glorious_a and_o that_o be_v full_a of_o god_n and_o have_v all_o the_o power_n of_o his_o soul_n fill_v with_o god_n what_o need_v he_o their_o piece_n of_o fish_n or_o their_o honey_n comb_n to_o eat_v so_o it_o be_v not_o for_o any_o need_n he_o have_v that_o he_o eat_v but_o that_o he_o eat_v in_o their_o sight_n that_o they_o shall_v believe_v that_o the_o lord_n be_v a_o body_n a_o spirit_n eat_v not_o neither_o drink_v the_o lord_n therefore_o show_v they_o that_o he_o be_v no_o spirit_n in_o do_v this_o brethren_n no_o question_n he_o humble_v himself_o be_v now_o immortal_a and_o glorious_a and_o full_a of_o god_n be_v not_o this_o a_o humble_v of_o he_o a_o immortal_a body_n to_o take_v that_o mortal_a bread_n it_o be_v a_o wonderful_a thing_n to_o see_v how_o jesus_n christ_n humble_v himself_o ay_o whilst_o he_o be_v yet_o still_o in_o this_o world_n be_v say_n paul_n philip_n in_o the_o form_n of_o god_n &_o think_v it_o no_o robbery_n to_o be_v equal_a with_o of_o that_o majesty_n he_o will_v not_o immediate_o do_v so_o but_o do_v defer_v and_o delay_v it_o the_o space_n of_o forty_o day_n and_o all_o this_o time_n humble_v himself_o it_o be_v a_o small_a thing_n that_o when_o he_o be_v mortal_a to_o humble_v himself_o but_o when_o he_o be_v immortal_a that_o he_o shall_v have_v continue_v so_o long_o humble_v himself_o for_o the_o cause_n of_o man_n it_o be_v a_o wonder_n &_o among_o all_o the_o part_n of_o his_o humiliation_n this_o be_v one_o part_n that_o he_o eat_v this_o mortal_a food_n and_o thou_o when_o thou_o shall_v be_v glorify_v
