on_o with_o they_o upon_o any_o course_n that_o can_v be_v present_v with_o the_o colour_n of_o a_o testimony_n against_o these_o resolution_n and_o act_n find_v it_o safe_a for_o they_o rather_o altogether_o do_v disclaim_v the_o authority_n of_o the_o assembly_n then_o to_o hazard_v upon_o a_o fair_a and_o orderly_a trial_n of_o their_o matter_n yea_o have_v we_o not_o see_v some_o already_o ship_n in_o and_o land_n out_o of_o and_o ship_n in_o again_o in_o that_o protestation_n according_a as_o they_o conceive_v the_o wind_n of_o affair_n then_o in_o the_o time_n to_o blow_v with_o or_o against_o it_o to_o credit_v or_o discredit_v advantage_n or_o disadvantage_n conscientious_a man_n will_v beware_v now_o that_o this_o same_o motive_n or_o interest_n do_v not_o prevail_v over_o next_o if_o the_o whole_a church_n be_v so_o grow_v in_o the_o sense_n of_o that_o evil_a why_o do_v they_o not_o provide_v the_o remedy_n at_o the_o last_o assembly_n it_o be_v in_o their_o power_n for_o the_o presbytery_n by_o his_o own_o grant_n there_o be_v a_o protestation_n against_o the_o oppose_a brother_n who_o be_v choose_v which_o be_v take_v up_o again_o with_o much_o difficulty_n and_o by_o earnest_a deal_n of_o some_o of_o the_o brethren_n opposite_a to_o the_o public_a resolution_n who_o desire_n be_v condescend_v unto_o with_o condition_n that_o their_o shall_v be_v a_o three_o commissioner_n it_o be_v in_o the_o mean_a while_n suggest_v in_o private_a that_o he_o who_o have_v first_o appear_v in_o the_o protestation_n against_o the_o opposer_n may_v be_v the_o man_n in_o the_o defence_n of_o the_o kingdom_n without_o any_o repentance_n or_o forsake_v of_o their_o malignant_a way_n as_o a_o thing_n necessary_o previous_a to_o the_o employ_v of_o they_o and_o without_o which_o they_o can_v not_o be_v employ_v these_o be_v the_o thing_n which_o the_o protester_n allege_v and_o offer_v to_o verify_v not_o only_o the_o general_n that_o the_o commissioner_n have_v make_v defection_n from_o the_o cause_n and_o covenant_n but_o that_o these_o particular_a resolution_n conclude_v and_o carry_v on_o by_o they_o do_v involve_v a_o defection_n from_o the_o cause_n and_o covenant_n this_o i_o say_v they_o offer_v to_o instruct_v from_o former_a act_n of_o assembly_n speak_v clear_o and_o positive_o there_o anent_o which_o yet_o be_v refuse_v to_o be_v hear_v by_o the_o meeting_n until_o they_o first_o shall_v constitute_v themselves_o in_o a_o assembly_n include_v these_o member_n against_o which_o the_o exception_n be_v propound_v a_o great_a imputation_n upon_o their_o freedom_n than_o they_o will_v easy_o wipe_v off_o vindication_n it_o be_v know_v that_o the_o belgic_a remonstrance_n in_o the_o protestation_n against_o the_o synod_n yet_o upon_o their_o account_n of_o mere_a difference_n from_o the_o commission_n and_o public_a resolution_n but_o upon_o the_o account_n of_o their_o active_a oppose_v of_o their_o resolution_n to_o the_o obstruction_n of_o the_o levy_n and_o endanger_v the_o garrison_n and_o their_o refuse_v to_o desist_v from_o that_o opposition_n but_o neither_o must_v it_o be_v forget_v here_o what_o be_v with_o a_o slander_n that_o they_o with_o other_o commissioner_n stir_v up_o the_o civil_a magistrate_n against_o they_o for_o differ_v from_o public_a resolution_n review_n before_o the_o author_n come_v to_o answer_v the_o next_o ground_n of_o the_o protestation_n he_o take_v notice_n of_o something_n and_o but_o of_o something_n pass_v by_o many_o other_o speak_v of_o by_o the_o writer_n in_o his_o answer_n concern_v the_o commissioner_n their_o steadfastness_n and_o fall_v off_o from_o it_o to_o which_o i_o reply_v that_o though_o it_o may_v be_v true_a that_o some_o of_o they_o have_v repay_v the_o protester_n be_v more_o than_o a_o eye_n for_o a_o eye_n and_o a_o tooth_n for_o a_o tooth_n they_o do_v not_o except_v against_o the_o commissioner_n upon_o may_o bee_n but_o upon_o thing_n real_o and_o already_o do_v and_o to_o he_o may_v be_v i_o say_v that_o though_o this_o be_v a_o hour_n of_o temptation_n wherein_o many_o turn_n aside_o both_o to_o the_o left_a hand_n and_o to_o the_o right_n yet_o i_o hope_v that_o by_o the_o lord_n grace_n the_o generality_n of_o those_o who_o have_v bear_v testimony_n against_o the_o public_a resolution_n shall_v be_v find_v among_o
