the_o same_o text_n of_o scripture_n not_o that_o i_o mean_v that_o such_o can_v do_v no_o good_a yes_o much_o no_o doubt_n if_o they_o will_v humble_o compassionate_o and_o faithful_o improve_v from_o sin_n and_o want_v in_o grace_n 1._o for_o melancholy_a i_o have_v by_o long_a experience_n find_v it_o to_o have_v so_o great_a and_o common_a a_o hand_n in_o the_o fear_n and_o trouble_n of_o mind_n that_o i_o meet_v not_o with_o one_o of_o many_o that_o live_v in_o great_a trouble_n and_o fear_n for_o any_o long_a time_n together_o but_o melancholy_a be_v the_o main_a seat_n of_o they_o mind_n in_o all_o your_o inquiry_n read_v and_o hear_v that_o it_o be_v the_o other_o part_n of_o your_o trouble_n which_o be_v true_o rational_a and_o not_o this_o part_n of_o it_o which_o be_v from_o melancholy_a that_o these_o mean_n be_v ordain_v to_o remove_v though_o god_n may_v also_o bless_v they_o extraordinary_o to_o do_v both_o only_o constant_a importunate_a prayer_n be_v a_o fit_a and_o special_a mean_n for_o the_o cure_v of_o all_o 2._o when_o you_o have_v true_o find_v out_o how_o much_o of_o your_o disquietness_n proceed_v from_o melancholy_a acquit_v your_o soul_n of_o time_n but_o keep_v company_n with_o the_o more_o cheerful_a sort_n of_o the_o godly_a there_o be_v no_o mirth_n like_o the_o mirth_n of_o believer_n which_o faith_n do_v fetch_v from_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n and_o from_o the_o promise_v of_o the_o word_n and_o from_o experience_n of_o mercy_n and_o from_o the_o serious_a fore-apprehension_n of_o our_o everlasting_a blessedness_n converse_v with_o man_n of_o strong_a faith_n that_o have_v this_o heavenly_a mirth_n and_o can_v speak_v experimental_o of_o the_o joy_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o these_o will_v be_v a_o only_o you_o must_v be_v careful_a to_o do_v your_o duty_n to_o the_o keep_n up_o of_o your_o present_a resolution_n and_o to_o wait_v obedient_o on_o god_n for_o the_o help_n of_o his_o spirit_n say_v can_v i_o endure_v to_o be_v roast_v or_o tear_v in_o piece_n so_o many_o week_n or_o day_n together_o or_o can_v i_o endure_v to_o die_v so_o many_o time_n over_o these_o be_v foolish_a not_o like_a to_o forsake_v and_o lay_v down_o his_o life_n for_o christ_n and_o his_o cause_n object_n but_o though_o i_o break_v through_o lesser_a trial_n i_o be_o not_o sure_a to_o overcome_v in_o great_a for_o the_o same_o measure_n of_o grace_n will_v not_o enable_v a_o man_n to_o forsake_v all_o which_o will_v enable_v he_o to_o forsake_v a_o little_a many_o have_v go_v through_o small_a trial_n and_o after_o forsake_a christ_n in_o great_a and_o christ_n make_v it_o the_o property_n of_o temporary_n that_o be_v not_o root_v in_o the_o faith_n that_o they_o fall_v when_o tribulation_n and_o persecution_n for_o the_o gospel_n arise_v and_o therefore_o it_o seem_v they_o may_v stand_v till_o then_o and_o if_o trial_n never_o come_v they_o may_v never_o fall_v and_o yet_o be_v unsound_a in_o the_o mean_a time_n answ_n 1._o if_o your_o trial_n now_o be_v considerable_a the_o truth_n of_o grace_n may_v be_v manifest_v in_o it_o though_o it_o be_v none_o of_o the_o great_a their_o unsoundness_n if_o they_o will_v before_o tribulation_n come_v

conversation_n according_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o their_o hellish_a opinion_n that_o they_o may_v be_v rather_o a_o terror_n to_o other_o than_o a_o snare_n i_o call_v their_o doctrine_n and_o practice_n hellish_a from_o its_o original_a because_o it_o come_v from_o the_o father_n of_o lie_n but_o not_o that_o there_o be_v any_o such_o opinion_n or_o practice_n in_o hell_n he_o that_o tempt_v other_o to_o deny_v the_o godhead_n the_o christian_a faith_n the_o scripture_n the_o life_n to_o come_v do_v no_o whit_n doubt_v of_o any_o one_o of_o they_o himself_o but_o believe_v and_o
