the_o time_n pass_v of_o your_o life_n when_o you_o do_v follow_v in_o ignorance_n and_o unbeleef_n the_o vice_n which_o do_v reign_v among_o the_o gentile_n against_o the_o first_o and_o second_o table_n now_o the_o time_n of_o gospel_n light_n require_v another_o carriage_n therefore_o you_o ought_v to_o follow_v after_o holiness_n vers._n 4._o wherein_o they_o think_v it_o strange_a that_o you_o run_v not_o with_o they_o to_o the_o same_o excess_n of_o riot_n speak_v evil_a of_o you_o 5._o who_o shall_v give_v account_n to_o he_o that_o be_v ready_a to_o judge_v the_o quick_a and_o the_o dead_a argum._n 5._o by_o prevent_v a_o objection_n although_o unbeliever_n may_v be_v offend_v at_o your_o abstain_v from_o former_a vice_n and_o may_v blaspheme_v your_o religion_n for_o which_o they_o shall_v be_v punish_v in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n yet_o it_o behove_v not_o you_o therefore_o to_o be_v move_v because_o if_o god_n do_v not_o in_o this_o life_n yet_o he_o will_v in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n require_v a_o account_n of_o such_o reproach_n therefore_o you_o ought_v to_o go_v forward_o in_o the_o study_n of_o holiness_n vers._n 6._o for_o for_o this_o cause_n be_v the_o gospel_n preach_v also_o to_o they_o that_o be_v dead_a that_o they_o may_v be_v judge_v according_a to_o man_n in_o the_o flesh_n but_o live_v according_a to_o god_n in_o the_o spirit_n argum._n 6._o serve_v to_o remove_v the_o stumbling-block_n lay_v by_o unbeliever_n who_o do_v blaspheme_v and_o condemn_v christian_n for_o the_o dissimilitude_n of_o their_o course_n to_o their_o own_o to_o the_o faithful_a that_o be_v already_o dead_a or_o not_o long_o since_o or_o in_o former_a age_n the_o gospel_n have_v be_v preach_v for_o this_o same_o end_n as_o to_o the_o promote_a of_o holiness_n and_o with_o the_o same_o success_n as_o to_o the_o judgement_n of_o worldly_a man_n and_o last_o with_o the_o same_o hope_n of_o fruit_n or_o benefit_n to_o wit_n that_o they_o be_v condemn_v of_o man_n and_o chastise_v of_o god_n according_a to_o the_o flesh_n or_o outward_a man_n shall_v obtain_v spiritual_a life_n in_o their_o soul_n or_o inward_a man_n yea_o and_o life_n eternal_a with_o god_n therefore_o it_o be_v meet_v that_o you_o believe_a hebrew_n do_v not_o refuse_v to_o embrace_v the_o like_a manner_n and_o condition_n of_o life_n but_o in_o the_o same_o condition_n that_o you_o follow_v after_o holiness_n vers._n 7._o but_o the_o end_n of_o all_o thing_n be_v at_o hand_n be_v you_o therefore_o sober_a and_o watch_v unto_o prayer_n argum._n 7._o the_o last_o judgement_n be_v at_o hand_n which_o will_v put_v a_o end_n to_o the_o convenience_n and_o inconvenience_n of_o this_o life_n therefore_o nothing_o regard_v either_o you_o ought_v to_o follow_v after_o holiness_n be_v you_o therefore_o from_o these_o argument_n and_o chief_o the_o last_o he_o infer_v a_o exhortation_n to_o holiness_n and_o especial_o to_o six_o christian_a virtue_n unto_o prayer_n the_o first_o special_a exhortation_n be_v to_o diligent_a prayer_n and_o for_o this_o end_n let_v they_o be_v sober_a and_o vigilant_a that_o they_o may_v be_v the_o more_o fit_a to_o pray_v observe_v every_o occasion_n of_o pray_v and_o that_o in_o all_o their_o affair_n they_o so_o carry_v themselves_o that_o they_o be_v not_o render_v unfit_a for_o prayer_n vers._n 8._o and_o above_o all_o thing_n have_v fervent_a charity_n among_o yourselves_o for_o charity_n shall_v cover_v the_o multitude_n of_o sin_n exhort_v 2._o the_o second_o special_a exhortation_n be_v charity_n which_o he_o require_v they_o chief_o to_o follow_v after_o above_o all_o thing_n with_o singular_a care_n and_o that_o their_o charity_n be_v fervent_a and_o earnest_a charity_n he_o render_v a_o special_a reason_n of_o this_o because_o charity_n prevent_v and_o in_o prevent_v cover_v anger_n brawling_n reproach_n contention_n and_o hatred_n lest_o they_o be_v stir_v up_o among_o man_n and_o break_v forth_o and_o spread_v abroad_o it_o do_v repress_v the_o break_n forth_o of_o these_o evil_n and_o remit_v and_o cover_v they_o and_o therefore_o in_o the_o first_o place_n you_o ought_v to_o follow_v after_o it_o vers._n 9_o use_v hospitality_n one_o to_o another_o without_o grudge_n exhort_v 3._o to_o hospitality_n which_o he_o command_v that_o it_o be_v not_o force_v but_o voluntary_a for_o that_o good_a turn_n which_o be_v do_v with_o murmur_a be_v destitute_a of_o charity_n vers._n 10._o as_o every_o man_n have_v receive_v the_o gift_n even_o so_o minister_v the_o same_o one_o to_o another_o as_o good_a steward_n of_o the_o manifold_a grace_n of_o god_n exhort_v 4._o to_o a_o mutual_a communication_n of_o all_o the_o gift_n of_o god_n there_o be_v two_o other_o part_n of_o the_o chapter_n follow_v wherein_o he_o encourage_v believer_n against_o persecution_n and_o exhort_v they_o not_o to_o be_v offend_v or_o trouble_v with_o persecution_n as_o a_o
