man_n and_o his_o wife_n for_o when_o i_o think_v with_o myself_o she_o be_v a_o portion_n of_o myself_o she_o be_v the_o one_o half_a of_o my_o person_n be_v it_o possible_a that_o i_o shall_v despise_v she_o the_o man_n then_o must_v honour_v his_o wife_n howbeit_o not_o by_o subjection_n that_o he_o shall_v not_o always_o abide_v in_o his_o state_n as_o head_n and_o have_v the_o govern_n of_o his_o wife_n that_o be_v the_o cause_n why_o saint_n paul_n require_v nothing_o at_o the_o husband_n hand_n but_o that_o he_o shall_v love_v his_o wife_n in_o another_o text_n too_o the_o colossian_n he_o add_v 19_o that_o they_o shall_v not_o be_v bitter_a too_o they_o for_o if_o there_o be_v love_n sure_o he_o that_o love_v will_v bear_v with_o many_o fault_n and_o infirmity_n of_o his_o friend_n and_o if_o we_o do_v it_o one_o too_o another_o much_o more_o ought_v the_o husband_n too_o do_v it_o towards_o she_o who_o he_o know_v too_o be_v give_v he_o of_o god_n that_o he_o that_o a_o man_n shall_v be_v dote_v in_o fond_a love_n as_o it_o fall_v out_o oftentimes_o and_o the_o last_o sunday_n i_o allege_v the_o example_n of_o such_o as_o pretend_v too_o be_v very_o hot_a in_o maintenance_n of_o their_o wife_n quarrel_n abroad_o and_o yet_o be_v devil_n to_o they_o at_o home_n so_o then_o the_o love_n that_o saint_n paul_n speak_v of_o be_v a_o right_a and_o good_a affection_n which_o the_o man_n bear_v too_o his_o wife_n because_o he_o know_v that_o god_n have_v knit_v they_o together_o as_o though_o he_o have_v put_v they_o together_o with_o his_o own_o hand_n and_o say_v live_v you_o two_o together_o in_o peace_n and_o concord_n again_o as_o touch_v the_o wife_n because_o they_o be_v loath_a too_o bear_v the_o yoke_n that_o god_n have_v lay_v upon_o their_o shoulder_n therefore_o in_o the_o other_o text_n saint_n paul_n do_v put_v they_o in_o mind_n that_o god_n be_v the_o author_n of_o wedlock_n and_o that_o it_o be_v he_o which_o have_v set_v down_o this_o condition_n that_o the_o wife_n shall_v be_v subject_a too_o her_o husband_n and_o suffer_v herself_o too_o be_v rule_v by_o he_o as_o by_o her_o head_n and_o bear_v he_o reverence_n for_o a_o woman_n will_v always_o find_v matter_n enough_o in_o her_o husband_n too_o despise_v he_o if_o he_o have_v any_o goodness_n she_o will_v go_v about_o too_o deface_v it_o that_o she_o may_v have_v occasion_n too_o say_v why_o shall_v this_o man_n have_v pre-eminence_n over_o i_o for_o he_o be_v no_o more_o able_a too_o rule_v than_o i_o and_o we_o know_v what_o overween_a there_o be_v in_o man_n and_o woman_n for_o every_o one_o think_v himself_o more_o able_a than_o his_o fellow_n the_o wife_n therefore_o will_v feign_v govern_v and_o have_v the_o mastery_n for_o that_o cause_n do_v saint_n paul_n tell_v they_o that_o they_o must_v abide_v in_o the_o state_n that_o god_n have_v put_v they_o in_o that_o be_v too_o wit_n in_o subjection_n and_o that_o they_o must_v not_o stand_v scan_v what_o be_v in_o their_o husband_n too_o examine_v whether_o they_o be_v worthy_a too_o have_v authority_n and_o superiority_n or_o no_o but_o that_o they_o must_v consider_v what_o god_n have_v ordain_v and_o obey_v the_o same_o without_o gainsay_v or_o reply_v they_o must_v not_o inquire_v why_o be_v this_o and_o why_o be_v that_o too_o the_o intent_n too_o find_v some_o excuse_n too_o exempt_v themselves_o from_o the_o obey_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o commandment_n therefore_o we_o must_v give_v ear_n to_o he_o and_o every_o of_o we_o must_v without_o gainsay_v receive_v the_o thing_n that_o he_o command_v we_o thus_o you_o see_v how_o the_o thing_n be_v too_o be_v understand_v which_o be_v speak_v here_o concern_v the_o fear_n &_o subjection_n that_o wife_n owe_v too_o their_o husband_n this_o doctrine_n be_v clear_a and_o familiar_a enough_o of_o itself_o but_o yet_o for_o all_o that_o how_o be_v it_o practice_v in_o the_o world_n folke_n will_v fain_o allege_v excuse_n of_o ignorance_n too_o shift_v off_o the_o performance_n of_o their_o duty_n by_o say_v this_o be_v to_o high_a &_o to_o hard_a to_o be_v understand_v when_o as_o it_o be_v say_v that_o man_n ought_v to_o love_v their_o wife_n â–ª_o need_v there_o any_o gloze_z too_o
