advise_v and_o absolute_a fall_v away_o from_o the_o profession_n of_o the_o faith_n of_o christ_n so_o far_o that_o against_o former_a knowledge_n and_o conscience_n thou_o do_v malicious_o oppose_v power_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o god_n he_o charitable_o design_v those_o very_a miracle_n which_o they_o reproachful_o impute_v to_o the_o devil_n to_o be_v a_o convince_a testimony_n from_o god_n that_o he_o must_v be_v the_o messiah_n the_o christ_n the_o saviour_n of_o the_o world_n no_o they_o will_v not_o be_v persuade_v will_v not_o come_v in_o to_o his_o faith_n and_o his_o love_n and_o his_o obedience_n but_o will_v wilful_o resist_v and_o oppose_v the_o power_n of_o his_o doctrine_n and_o his_o miracle_n the_o convince_a light_n of_o which_o plain_o and_o clear_o manifest_v that_o he_o act_v by_o the_o power_n of_o god_n and_o rather_o than_o they_o will_v acknowledge_v they_o to_o be_v do_v by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n they_o affirm_v that_o he_o do_v they_o by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o devil_n v._o 24._o upon_o this_o christ_n to_o convince_v they_o be_v please_v to_o tell_v they_o that_o the_o miracle_n of_o cast_v out_o devil_n which_o he_o have_v wrought_v just_a before_o can_v not_o be_v do_v by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o devil_n for_o a_o kingdom_n divide_v against_o its_o self_n can_v not_o stand_v v._o 25._o and_o therefore_o it_o be_v not_o likely_a that_o satan_n shall_v cast_v out_o satan_n and_o if_o satan_n can_v not_o or_o will_v not_o cast_v out_o satan_n then_o sure_o it_o must_v be_v by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o god_n that_o he_o cast_v out_o devil_n and_o wrought_v miracle_n and_o if_o so_o how_o can_v they_o choose_v when_o they_o see_v the_o miracle_n that_o he_o do_v but_o be_v convince_v that_o he_o act_v by_o the_o power_n of_o god_n and_o consequent_o how_o can_v they_o resist_v and_o oppose_v deny_v and_o disow_v he_o to_o be_v the_o christ_n the_o messiah_n the_o saviour_n of_o the_o world_n it_o be_v all_o as_o one_o they_o will_v not_o be_v convince_v by_o the_o holy_a doctrine_n which_o he_o teach_v by_o the_o miracle_n that_o he_o wrought_v and_o wonder_n that_o he_o do_v and_o rather_o than_o believe_v on_o he_o and_o become_v wise_a and_o happy_a they_o obstinate_o affirm_v that_o what_o he_o do_v by_o the_o finger_n of_o god_n and_o the_o power_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n be_v do_v by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o accurse_a spirit_n of_o darkness_n now_o this_o be_v not_o only_o a_o great_a blasphemy_n indeed_o against_o the_o holy_a ghost_n but_o it_o be_v a_o wilful_a shut_v their_o eye_n against_o the_o light_n against_o the_o light_n i_o say_v it_o again_o of_o that_o doctrine_n and_o those_o miracle_n which_o be_v do_v on_o purpose_n to_o convince_v they_o that_o he_o be_v the_o christ_n who_o notwithstanding_o they_o deny_v and_o disow_v resist_v and_o oppose_v upon_o this_o christ_n tell_v they_o that_o if_o they_o continue_v in_o this_o blasphemy_n and_o will_v obstinate_o go_v on_o to_o impute_v those_o miracle_n to_o the_o devil_n which_o be_v do_v by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o will_v not_o be_v convince_v and_o come_v in_o and_o receive_v and_o believe_v on_o the_o lord_n of_o glory_n but_o deny_v and_o oppose_v he_o and_o malicious_o and_o with_o a_o wilful_a blindness_n hold_v out_o against_o the_o visible_a work_n of_o god_n that_o this_o must_v needs_o be_v to_o they_o that_o continue_v in_o it_o unpardonable_a and_o well_o indeed_o may_v it_o be_v unpardonable_a when_o the_o apostle_n say_v act._n 4.12_o there_o be_v none_o other_o name_n under_o heaven_n give_v among_o man_n whereby_o we_o must_v be_v save_v that_o his_o name_n and_o person_n his_o revelation_n and_o be_v it_o not_o infinite_o better_a to_o cause_n joy_n in_o heaven_n among_o the_o beatified_a spirit_n of_o the_o upper_a lovely_a region_n than_o joy_n only_o to_o the_o accurse_a spirit_n of_o darkness_n methinks_v to_o a_o wise_a man_n it_o shall_v be_v infinite_o more_o desirable_a and_o chusable_a to_o have_v a_o good_a report_n of_o he_o among_o the_o beautiful_a inhabitant_n of_o the_o upper_a world_n than_o only_o among_o a_o few_o wicked_a and_o mistake_v people_n here._n methinks_v it_o shall_v be_v much_o more_o chusable_a to_o cause_n joy_n to_o he_o you_o have_v grieve_v even_o the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o god_n than_o to_o cause_n joy_n to_o he_o who_o only_o rejoice_v in_o hope_n of_o your_o be_v make_v a_o partner_n with_o he_o in_o the_o sorrow_n of_o eternity_n and_o if_o you_o will_v present_o resolve_v to_o be_v so_o wise_a and_o happy_a for_o if_o you_o will_v you_o may_v and_o these_o bless_a spirit_n desire_v it_o and_o look_v for_o it_o as_o to_o cause_n joy_n among_o these_o bless_a and_o sweet_a and_o lovely_a and_o glorious_a inhabitant_n the_o joy_n will_v be_v your_o own_o the_o peace_n and_o joy_n will_v be_v your_o own_o first_o and_o last_o too_o you_o here_o and_o you_o hereafter_o you_o will_v find_v a_o present_a joy_n and_o peace_n in_o the_o change_n far_o beyond_o whatever_o you_o find_v in_o the_o way_n of_o wickedness_n and_o in_o the_o path_n of_o unrighteousness_n you_o will_v find_v upon_o the_o change_n a_o far_o great_a pleasantness_n and_o ease_n and_o satisfaction_n in_o a_o religious_a course_n than_o ever_o you_o can_v find_v in_o a_o debauch_a a_o irregular_a and_o a_o profane_a life_n infinite_o more_o substantial_a and_o last_a tranquillity_n and_o sedateness_n and_o serenity_n of_o mind_n more_o lightsomness_n and_o cheerfulness_n of_o heart_n in_o the_o one_o than_o ever_o you_o do_v in_o the_o other_o and_o beside_o your_o own_o joy_n and_o peace_n on_o earth_n you_o will_v cause_v joy_n among_o those_o kind_a and_o good_a and_o bless_a spirit_n to_o who_o you_o hope_v to_o be_v admit_v and_o with_o who_o you_o hope_v to_o pass_v away_o a_o rapturous_a and_o a_o pleasurable_a eternity_n and_o if_o you_o may_v cause_v these_o joy_n to_o your_o self_n and_o they_o tell_v i_o dear_a christian_n why_o will_v you_o not_o why_o shall_v not_o you_o be_v earnest_a to_o do_v so_o consider_v the_o very_a comfortable_a hope_n you_o have_v that_o the_o blasphemy_n against_o the_o holy_a ghost_n have_v be_v none_o of_o your_o sin_n and_o methinks_v christian_n if_o you_o will_v but_o rational_o compare_v and_o weigh_v thing_n and_o see_v they_o as_o they_o true_o be_v all_o the_o little_a uneasy_a joy_n and_o vain_a delight_n of_o a_o sinful_a course_n of_o any_o sort_n shall_v appear_v very_o inconsiderable_a compare_v with_o the_o joy_n present_a and_o future_a which_o you_o will_v bring_v to_o yourself_o as_o well_o as_o to_o the_o upper_a lovely_a spirit_n by_o your_o reformation_n for_o if_o there_o be_v no_o peace_n to_o the_o wicked_a no_o true_a joy_n and_o if_o there_o be_v joy_n in_o heaven_n at_o the_o conversion_n of_o a_o sinner_n and_o joy_n to_o himself_o too_o on_o earth_n joy_n above_o and_o joy_n below_o some_o joy_n in_o hand_n and_o some_o in_o reversion_n some_o present_n and_o some_o future_a can_v there_o be_v a_o great_a madness_n than_o to_o deny_v yourself_o these_o true_a joy_n for_o any_o iniquity_n whatever_o in_o which_o there_o can_v be_v neither_o peace_n nor_o joy_n no_o long_a peace_n or_o last_a joy_n why_o will_v you_o any_o long_o permit_v yourself_o to_o be_v thus_o cheat_v and_o abuse_v by_o the_o world_n or_o the_o devil_n or_o your_o own_o corrupt_a affection_n that_o will_v lead_v you_o to_o a_o sin_n and_o then_o fain_o persuade_v you_o there_o be_v more_o peace_n and_o joy_n in_o it_o than_o in_o a_o life_n of_o purity_n and_o virtue_n probity_n and_o sanctity_n when_o all_o this_o be_v false_a and_o we_o be_v assure_v it_o be_v false_a both_o from_o the_o voice_n of_o scripture_n and_o the_o information_n of_o experience_n there_o be_v no_o peace_n to_o the_o wicked_a but_o the_o way_n of_o virtue_n be_v way_n of_o pleasantness_n
