and_o cruel_a bytterne_n can_v not_o long_o lie_v hide_v other_o christian_n will_v take_v this_o grevous_o and_o will_v bring_v this_o cruelty_n of_o this_o servant_n to_o the_o lord_n ear_n that_o be_v to_o say_v that_o unjust_a pride_n and_o unmercifulnes_n will_v geve_v and_o move_v the_o holy_a spirit_n in_o christian_n that_o they_o in_o their_o sorrow_n will_v make_v their_o pitiful_a complaint_n unto_o the_o lord_n and_o let_v no_o man_n think_v that_o this_o complaint_n shall_v fall_v void_a for_o although_o that_o god_n will_v of_o himself_o neglect_v this_o wrong_n yet_o shall_v he_o be_v constrain_v by_o christian_a man_n prayer_n not_o to_o neglect_v it_o therefore_o as_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o righteous_a be_v not_o void_a so_o shall_v not_o the_o common_a curse_n of_o the_o people_n and_o the_o cry_v out_o for_o revenginge_v fall_v void_a and_o frustrate_a and_o therefore_o christ_n will_v not_o have_v we_o neglect_v they_o but_o for_o fear_n of_o this_o peril_n to_o show_v ourselves_o gentle_a to_o our_o fellow_n servant_n then_o shall_v thou_o perceive_v in_o deed_n that_o there_o be_v some_o that_o for_o this_o thy_o gentleness_n will_v wish_v all_o prosperity_n and_o success_n to_o thou_o again_o wherefore_o these_o man_n can_v never_o thrive_v that_o regard_n not_o the_o cursing_n and_o blessyng_n of_o of_o the_o people_n as_o it_o be_v to_o see_v in_o time_n of_o dearth_n the_o miserable_a multitude_n curse_v the_o covetous_a regards_n as_o solomon_n say_v in_o his_o proverbe_n the_o people_n curse_v he_o that_o hyde_v his_o grain_n 11._o but_o bless_v be_v upon_o they_o that_o sell._n but_o the_o ungodly_a covetous_a regard_v this_o not_o but_o consider_v thou_o whether_o this_o curse_n be_v not_o effectuous_a whereas_o they_o with_o all_o their_o good_n be_v compass_v about_o with_o all_o trouble_n and_o misery_n wherefore_o this_o be_v not_o to_o be_v esteem_v light_o whereas_o christ_n in_o this_o place_n show_v how_o we_o shall_v beware_v that_o we_o geve_v no_o occasion_n to_o make_v our_o fellow_n servant_n to_o complain_v unto_o the_o lord_n and_o show_v what_o they_o have_v seen_v in_o judgemente_n for_o it_o be_v a_o horrible_a thing_n that_o follow_v the_o lord_n say_v he_o call_v the_o servant_n unto_o he_o and_o this_o be_v the_o fyfte_a cause_n that_o thou_o may_v think_v well_o upon_o this_o end_n for_o if_o thou_o will_v show_v no_o mercy_n unto_o thy_o fellow_n servant_n but_o require_v thy_o right_n rigorous_o think_v not_o that_o god_n will_v wink_v at_o it_o &_o lay_v nothing_o to_o thy_o charge_n for_o it_o but_o he_o will_v declare_v this_o his_o revenge_v both_o at_o other_o time_n &_o special_o in_o the_o latter_a judgement_n when_o he_o shall_v geve_v his_o grevous_a sentence_n against_o thou_o even_o that_o thou_o be_v deliver_v to_o the_o torment_n until_o thou_o pay_v the_o whole_a debt_n what_o special_a thing_n shall_v thou_o have_v then_o for_o thy_o whansoever_o he_o move_v we_o to_o wrath_n to_o revenge_v and_o to_o all_o that_o he_o require_v of_o we_o although_o it_o be_v to_o our_o great_a damaige_a for_o christ_n saying_n be_v true_a if_o thou_o forgeve_v thou_o mayeste_v be_v sure_a god_n will_v forgeve_v thou_o so_o that_o if_o thou_o be_v merciful_a thou_o shall_v still_o obtain_v god_n mercy_n if_o not_o look_v for_o asuretie_n that_o god_n will_v be_v merciful_a unto_o thou_o if_o thou_o have_v a_o pleasure_n to_o revenge_v then_o must_v god_n do_v likewise_o unto_o thou_o and_o yet_o thou_o can_v revenge_v and_o hurt_v for_o a_o time_n but_o god_n revenge_v and_o wrath_n which_o thou_o procure_v by_o thy_o folishe_a and_o impotent_a wrath_n have_v no_o end_n and_o this_o revenge_a of_o thou_o have_v no_o just_a cause_n for_o all_o power_n of_o revenge_a belong_v to_o god_n and_o not_o to_o thou_o and_o thou_o may_v be_v sure_a that_o if_o thou_o resign_v thy_o right_n of_o revenginge_v to_o god_n and_o prevent_a he_o not_o through_o thy_o hasty_a wrath_n than_o he_o will_v revenge_v and_o punish_v it_o much_o more_o grevouslye_o than_o thou_o will_v desire_v but_o how_o it_o go_v with_o they_o that_o be_v so_o desirous_a to_o revenge_v may_v well_o be_v perceave_v if_o man_n will_v consider_v but_o this_o how_o sin_n be_v punish_v by_o he_o for_o they_o that_o be_v give_fw-ge to_o wrath_n &_o desire_n of_o vengeance_n be_v so_o fare_v out_o of_o charity_n through_o ire_n that_o at_o last_o they_o cease_v from_o say_v of_o the_o lord_n prayer_n for_o here_o be_v the_o sharp_a nail_n always_o in_o their_o sore_n 6._o which_o continual_o prick_v then_o whereas_o they_o be_v command_v therein_o to_o pray_v unto_o god_n for_o the_o forgevinge_v of_o their_o trespace_n as_o they_o forgeve_v other_o that_o trespass_n against_o they_o here_o they_o know_v that_o if_o they_o can_v obtain_v forgevenes_n of_o their_o own_o trespace_n except_o they_o forgeve_v other_o that_o then_o they_o shall_v never_o obtain_v it_o wherefore_o lest_o they_o shall_v by_o this_o mean_n geve_v judgement_n to_o their_o own_o damnation_n they_o never_o say_v that_o prayer_n and_o what_o thing_n may_v we_o think_v that_o the_o devil_n can_v devise_v more_o grevous_o and_o cruel_o against_o a_o man_n prayer_n than_o to_o bring_v he_o in_o such_o case_n by_o wrath_n and_o anger_n that_o he_o dare_v not_o pray_v and_o what_o shall_v a_o christian_a man_n do_v if_o he_o can_v not_o pray_v if_o prayer_n which_o be_v the_o only_a refuge_n of_o christian_a man_n be_v take_v from_o they_o than_o must_v all_o go_v to_o nought_o yea_o and_o all_o such_o also_o begin_v to_o refuse_v the_o communion_n and_o so_o thereby_o deprve_v themselves_o of_o great_a comfort_n and_o solace_n which_o they_o thereat_o shall_v receive_v against_o sin_v and_o grief_n of_o conscience_n but_o be_v it_o not_o much_o better_a for_o they_o to_o suffer_v wrong_a &_o to_o lay_v aside_o all_o wrath_n rise_v suffer_v be_v acceptable_a unto_o god_n and_o that_o all_o thing_n when_o we_o eat_v drink_n work_n sleep_v wache_n pray_v read_v sing_v learn_v &_o c_o be_v allow_v of_o he_o this_o be_v the_o very_a felicity_n itself_o 6._o if_o we_o be_v so_o wise_a as_o to_o consider_v and_o behold_v it_o with_o true_a eye_n &_o with_o a_o sure_a faith_n for_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o godly_a do_v herein_o the_o rest_n there_o be_v no_o cause_n why_o any_o man_n shall_v great_o fear_v for_o this_o love_n shall_v make_v all_o other_o thing_n easy_a and_o tolerable_a whatsoever_o shall_v chance_v for_o he_o and_o his_o word_n sake_n where_o as_o contrariwise_o without_o this_o love_n all_o thing_n shall_v seem_v intolerable_a and_o above_o all_o man_n power_n as_o christ_n say_v in_o the_o word_n and_o whereas_o man_n receave_v the_o gospel_n to_o the_o intent_n good_n that_o they_o may_v invade_v the_o church_n good_n and_o make_v havoke_n thereof_o to_o their_o own_o profit_n and_o commodity_n and_o to_o serve_v their_o own_o lust_n as_o it_o be_v the_o fashion_n of_o the_o world_n in_o all_o thing_n to_o seek_v his_o own_o vantage_n and_o profit_n there_o can_v not_o the_o word_n of_o christ_n be_v long_o keep_v for_o it_o be_v very_o necessary_a to_o have_v love_n if_o a_o man_n will_v be_v constant_a in_o trouble_n profit_n &_o gain_n do_v nothing_o help_v in_o this_o case_n wherefore_o if_o we_o love_v godliness_n in_o deed_n that_o we_o will_v not_o depart_v from_o the_o golspel_n we_o must_v so_o use_v all_o thing_n that_o we_o may_v say_v in_o the_o name_n of_o our_o lord_n jesu_n christ_n be_v this_o begin_v and_o by_o his_o commandment_n do_v we_o this_o wherefore_o no_o case_n so_o hard_o can_v move_v we_o but_o that_o we_o take_v all_o thing_n well_o in_o worth_n that_o god_n send_v but_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o we_o shall_v styke_a unto_o the_o word_n so_o constant_o and_o that_o we_o shall_v geve_v no_o place_n to_o any_o danger_n or_o peril_n surelye_o because_o christ_n say_v furthermore_o speakethe_v the_o word_n that_o i_o speak_v be_v not_o i_o but_o my_o father_n which_o send_v i_o and_o after_o this_o manner_n do_v christ_n often_o time_n speak_v and_o this_o be_v the_o pith_n of_o that_o that_o christ_n speak_v if_o you_o do_v receive_v i_o and_o embrace_v i_o that_o be_v my_o word_n and_o promise_n then_o be_v you_o sure_o of_o this_o that_o the_o true_a god_n have_v receive_v you_o neither_o must_v you_o think_v beside_o of_o any_o other_o god._n for_o you_o shall_v find_v god_n no_o where_o else_o but_o in_o i_o and_o in_o my_o word_n the_o reason_n why_o be_v that_o the_o word_n that_o i_o speak_v be_v not_o i_o but_o the_o word_n of_o my_o father_n if_o you_o receive_v this_o word_n you_o receive_v my_o father_n if_o you_o believe_v in_o it_o you_o believe_v in_o my_o father_n wherefore_o now_o it_o be_v easy_a to_o judge_v how_o the_o world_n stand_v mahumet_n the_o turk_n the_o pope_n the_o jew_n do_v crake_v much_o of_o god_n they_o pray_v much_o and_o affirm_v themselves_o to_o be_v the_o true_a worshipper_n of_o god._n but_o the_o matter_n be_v plain_a that_o mahumet_n the_o turk_n the_o pope_n the_o jew_n do_v not_o find_v the_o father_n neither_o know_v any_o thing_n of_o he_o for_o they_o have_v not_o the_o word_n of_o christ_n which_o be_v not_o christ_n but_o the_o father_n wherefore_o christ_n by_o these_o word_n geve_v a_o sure_a doctrine_n to_o beware_v by_o as_o though_o he_o shall_v say_v if_o you_o will_v hear_v god_n and_o have_v he_o join_v unto_o you_o you_o must_v turn_v away_o your_o eye_n and_o ear_n in_o no_o case_n from_o he_o but_o hear_v i_o and_o you_o hear_v god_n see_v i_o &_o you_o see_v god_n for_o this_o it_o be_v decree_v either_o must_v you_o hear_v god_n by_o i_o or_o never_o hear_v he_o whereof_o this_o must_v by_o reason_n follow_v that_o christ_n when_o he_o utter_v the_o bountefull_a word_n the_o hole_n godhead_n do_v allow_v it_o so_o that_o neither_o the_o devyll_n nor_o the_o world_n can_v make_v it_o frustrate_v and_o false_a the_o reason_n be_v this_o christ_n word_n be_v not_o he_o but_o the_o father_n as_o he_o say_v the_o word_n that_o you_o hear_v be_v not_o i_o but_o my_o father_n that_o send_v i_o the_o word_n be_v so_o simple_a and_o plain_a that_o nothing_o can_v be_v more_o simple_a and_o plain_a wherefore_o when_o the_o man_n that_o be_v worldly_a wise_n chance_v upon_o these_o word_n they_o think_v that_o they_o be_v but_o word_n coldlye_o &_o slender_o speak_v &_o that_o in_o great_a and_o weighty_a matter_n he_o will_v have_v use_v more_o earnest_a and_o pythye_a word_n understanding_n howbeit_o what_o great_a matter_n there_o be_v include_v in_o these_o word_n that_o be_v so_o base_v and_o slender_a that_o do_v then_o appear_v when_o great_a peril_n and_o fear_n be_v at_o hand_n wherefore_o christ_n here_o make_v a_o end_n of_o his_o sermon_n and_o say_v these_o thing_n have_v i_o speak_v to_o you_o when_o i_o be_v bide_v with_o you_o but_o the_o holy_a ghost_n the_o conforter_n who_o my_o father_n will_v send_v in_o my_o name_n he_o shall_v teach_v you_o all_o thing_n little_a as_o well_o blame_v and_o deny_v the_o good_a seed_n that_o fall_v upon_o the_o way_n the_o stone_n and_o the_o thorn_n but_o they_o shall_v rather_o follow_v the_o truth_n and_o refrayn_v from_o ponderous_a and_o weighty_a for_o they_o think_v more_o grevous_o inward_o than_o they_o speak_v outward_o and_o how_o much_o more_o do_v these_o brief_a word_n signify_v the_o unspeakable_a wrath_n of_o god_n which_o no_o man_n can_v pacify_v yet_o we_o esteem_v they_o as_o little_a as_o though_o a_o gester_n or_o skoffer_n who_o we_o may_v worthy_o despise_v have_v speak_v they_o or_o as_o though_o god_n have_v speak_v these_o thing_n in_o sport_n neither_o do_v we_o hear_v or_o see_v that_o as_o the_o word_n be_v in_o the_o text_n god_n be_v angry_a with_o we_o and_o that_o they_o proceade_v of_o a_o great_a anger_n and_o wrath_n and_o that_o he_o be_v neither_o fool_n nor_o child_n but_o the_o lord_n and_o god_n above_o all_o before_o who_o all_o thing_n do_v tremble_v and_o quake_v cxiiii_o and_o as_o the_o scripture_n say_v the_o mountain_n with_o their_o foundation_n and_o the_o sea_n and_o flood_n fly_v from_o the_o face_n of_o god._n only_a man_n be_v so_o stiff_o forwardness_n and_o arrogance_n of_o the_o phariseis_n whereas_o they_o give_v judgement_n so_o unshame-fast_o of_o a_o matter_n that_o they_o understande_v not_o and_o that_o the_o matter_n may_v be_v the_o better_o perceive_v the_o question_n be_v this_o whether_o there_o be_v any_o place_n for_o sinner_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n for_o if_o there_o be_v not_o christ_n do_n be_v worthy_o reprove_v that_o whereas_o he_o profess_v himself_o to_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n yet_o he_o compani_v with_o they_o that_o be_v not_o of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god._n the_o phariseis_n &_o scribe_n be_v deceive_v in_o judge_v christ_n do_v because_o they_o know_v not_o true_o what_o be_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n and_o yet_o they_o think_v theim selue_o most_o perfect_a thereof_o this_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o their_o false_a judgement_n sinner_n they_o know_v moses_n and_o the_o prophet_n by_o continual_a read_v and_o study_n but_o after_o this_o understanding_n that_o the_o work_v of_o the_o law_n must_v be_v do_z and_o that_o he_o that_o do_v they_o be_v now_o allow_v as_o rightuous_a before_o god_n but_o he_o that_o do_v they_o not_o be_v banish_v as_o a_o outlaw_n from_o god._n and_o after_o this_o understanding_n they_o judge_v of_o christ_n do_v in_o this_o place_n because_o that_o god_n by_o his_o law_n have_v put_v a_o plain_a determination_n of_o his_o kingdom_n out_o of_o the_o which_o sinner_n be_v exclude_v as_o adversary_n and_o that_o god_n kingdom_n ought_v to_o be_v take_v no_o otherwise_o than_o god_n determine_v it_o himself_o and_o that_o sinner_n be_v not_o to_o be_v admit_v nor_o receive_v among_o such_o as_o be_v of_o god._n and_o this_o be_v the_o very_a judgement_n of_o reason_n also_o for_o as_o soon_o as_o there_o rise_v any_o sense_n of_o sin_n natural_o there_o be_v have_v respect_n unto_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n sinner_n which_o be_v always_o dread_a and_o look_v for_o in_o sin_n for_o they_o judge_v that_o he_o can_v the_o danger_n betimes_o for_o thou_o heareste_v here_o that_o god_n use_v to_o defer_v the_o punyshement_n and_o to_o conceal_v and_o wynke_v at_o the_o fault_n for_o a_o tyme._n but_o yet_o the_o pain_n be_v not_o aufer_v because_o that_o it_o be_v defer_v neither_o be_v the_o punyshement_n take_v away_o because_o there_o be_v make_v a_o delay_n thereof_o therefore_o return_v to_o the_o
