body_n and_o soul_n by_o outward_a give_v the_o bread_n and_o wine_n the_o spiritual_a give_v the_o thing_n signify_v by_o christ_n unto_o our_o soul_n by_o outward_a take_v the_o sign_n be_v signify_v the_o spiritual_a receive_n of_o christ_n by_o faith_n sacramental_o and_o true_o 3._o the_o sacramental_a union_n of_o the_o sign_n and_o thing_n signify_v consist_v in_o a_o mutual_a relation_n as_o be_v now_o say_v for_o the_o verity_n of_o christ_n body_n which_o be_v local_a and_o circumscribe_v both_o before_o and_o after_o his_o glorification_n can_v consist_v otherwise_o again_o many_o passage_n of_o scripture_n that_o show_v the_o true_a and_o physical_a ascend_v of_o christ_n from_o the_o earth_n and_o his_o return_v from_o heaven_n unto_o judgement_n do_v confute_v the_o doctrine_n of_o consubstantiation_n 4._o when_o the_o word_n sacrament_n be_v tâ—ken_v in_o a_o more_o large_a sense_n it_o consist_v of_o two_o thing_n one_o earthly_a another_o heavenly_a we_o teach_v that_o earthly_a thing_n be_v receive_v by_o earthly_a instrument_n viz._n the_o hand_n and_o mouth_n but_o the_o heavenly_a thing_n be_v apprehend_v only_o spiritual_o by_o faith_n because_o albeit_o christ_n body_n be_v a_o true_o organical_a body_n yet_o analogy_n require_v that_o such_o as_o the_o nourishment_n and_o end_n thereof_o be_v such_o also_o must_v be_v the_o manner_n of_o receive_v it_o but_o the_o nourishment_n and_o end_n thereof_o be_v spiritual_a that_o be_v they_o concern_v our_o spiritual_a union_n with_o christ_n and_o eternal_a life_n through_o he_o therefore_o the_o manner_n of_o receive_v those_o must_v also_o be_v spiritual_a by_o the_o proper_a instrument_n of_o the_o soul_n which_o be_v faith_n and_o therefore_o see_v the_o bodily_a receive_n of_o the_o sign_n be_v a_o pledge_n of_o the_o spiritual_a receive_n these_o word_n eat_v and_o drink_v as_o they_o be_v proper_o speak_v of_o receive_v the_o sign_n so_o be_v they_o speak_v figurative_o of_o the_o thing_n signify_v viz._n by_o a_o sacramental_a metonymy_n whereby_o that_o which_o agree_v unto_o the_o sign_n be_v speak_v of_o the_o thing_n signify_v and_o so_o both_o those_o receiving_n can_v be_v by_o the_o mouth_n again_o if_o the_o substance_n of_o christ_n body_n be_v receive_v bodily_a it_o shall_v remain_v in_o the_o faithful_a at_o least_o and_o they_o shall_v become_v the_o substantial_a or_o bodily_a member_n of_o christ_n and_o so_o the_o church_n be_v not_o his_o mystical_a body_n but_o a_o body_n very_o and_o substantial_o consist_v of_o the_o substance_n
