well_o praise_v and_o extol_v the_o force_n of_o truth_n in_o that_o contemplative_a strength_n conquer_v darius_n and_o free_v his_o country_n and_o the_o people_n of_o god_n from_o the_o captivity_n of_o babylon_n which_o i_o shall_v yet_o not_o despair_v to_o do_v if_o they_o in_o this_o land_n who_o mind_n be_v yet_o captive_a be_v but_o as_o ingenuous_a to_o acknowledge_v the_o strength_n and_o supremacy_n of_o justice_n as_o that_o heathen_a king_n be_v to_o confess_v the_o strength_n of_o truth_n or_o let_v they_o but_o as_o he_o do_v grant_v that_o and_o they_o will_v soon_o perceive_v that_o truth_n resign_v all_o her_o outward_a strength_n to_o justice_n justice_n therefore_o must_v needs_o be_v strong_a both_o in_o she_o own_o and_o in_o the_o strength_n of_o truth_n but_o if_o a_o king_n may_v do_v among_o man_n whatsoever_o be_v his_o will_n and_o pleasure_n and_o notwithstanding_o be_v unaccountable_a to_o man_n then_o contrary_a to_o this_o magnify_v wisdom_n of_o zorobabel_n neither_o truth_n nor_o justice_n but_o the_o king_n be_v strong_a of_o all_o other_o thing_n which_o that_o persian_a monarch_n himself_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o all_o his_o pride_n and_o glory_n dare_v not_o assume_v let_v we_o see_v therefore_o what_o this_o king_n have_v to_o affirm_v why_o the_o sentence_n of_o justice_n and_o the_o weight_n of_o that_o sword_n which_o she_o deliver_v into_o the_o hand_n of_o man_n shall_v be_v more_o partial_a to_o he_o offend_v then_o to_o all_o other_o of_o human_a race_n first_o he_o plead_v that_o no_o law_n of_o god_n or_o man_n give_v to_o subject_n any_o power_n of_o judicature_n without_o or_o against_o he_o which_o assertion_n shall_v be_v prove_v in_o every_o part_n to_o be_v most_o untrue_a the_o first_o express_v law_n of_o god_n give_v to_o mankind_n be_v that_o to_o noah_n as_o a_o law_n in_o general_a to_o all_o the_o son_n of_o man_n and_o by_o that_o most_o ancient_a and_o universal_a law_n whosoever_o shed_v man_n blood_n by_o man_n shall_v his_o blood_n be_v shed_v we_o find_v here_o no_o exception_n if_o a_o king_n therefore_o do_v this_o to_o a_o king_n and_o that_o by_o man_n also_o the_o same_o shall_v be_v do_v this_o in_o the_o law_n of_o moses_n which_o come_v next_o several_a time_n be_v repeat_v and_o in_o one_o place_n remarkable_o numb_a 35._o you_o shall_v take_v no_o satisfaction_n for_o the_o life_n of_o a_o murderer_n but_o he_o shall_v sure_o be_v put_v to_o death_n the_o land_n can_v be_v cleanse_v of_o the_o blood_n that_o be_v shed_v therein_o but_o by_o the_o blood_n of_o he_o that_o shed_v it_o this_o be_v so_o speak_v as_o that_o which_o concern_v all_o israel_n not_o one_o man_n alone_o to_o see_v perform_v and_o if_o no_o satisfaction_n be_v to_o be_v take_v then_o certain_o no_o exception_n nay_o the_o king_n when_o they_o shall_v set_v up_o any_o be_v to_o observe_v the_o whole_a law_n and_o not_o only_o to_o see_v it_o do_v but_o to_o do_v it_o that_o his_o heart_n may_v not_o be_v lift_v up_o above_o his_o brethren_n to_o dream_v of_o vain_a and_o reasonless_a prerogative_n or_o exemption_n whereby_o the_o law_n itself_o must_v needs_o be_v found_v in_o unrighteousness_n and_o be_v that_o true_a which_o be_v most_o false_a that_o all_o king_n be_v the_o lord_n anoint_v it_o be_v yet_o absurd_a to_o think_v that_o the_o anointment_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v as_o it_o be_v a_o charm_n against_o law_n and_o give_v they_o privilege_v who_o punish_v other_o to_o sin_v themselves_o unpunishable_o the_o high_a priest_n be_v the_o lord_n anoint_v as_o well_o as_o any_o king_n and_o with_o the_o same_o consecrate_a oil_n yet_o solomon_n have_v put_v to_o death_n abiathar_n have_v it_o not_o be_v for_o other_o respect_n then_o that_o anointment_n if_o god_n himself_o say_v to_o king_n touch_v not_o my_o anoint_a mean_v his_o chosen_a people_n as_o be_v evident_a in_o that_o psalm_n yet_o no_o man_n will_v argue_v thence_o that_o he_o protect_v they_o from_o civil_a law_n if_o they_o offend_v then_o certain_o though_o david_n as_o a_o private_a man_n and_o in_o his_o own_o cause_n fear_v to_o lift_v his_o hand_n against_o the_o lord_n anoint_v much_o less_o can_v this_o
